Oh By Golly... It's Christmoose!!!

Good morning, and welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog!!!  Boy have I had an exciting week!  First and foremost, our first grandchild was born!  Can I just say that he is the cutest and sweetest little guy I've ever seen, and yes, I am completely biased, and totally in love!!!  *wink*  Our little Max was born on Monday, and it's been a whirlwind of a week, between Thanksgiving, and a little Christmas shopping, and having a new baby in the midst of all of it!!  We feel so very blessed!  Amazingly, amid all the mayhem, I did have some time to do a little bit of stamping, and card making, although I have no idea how I managed it!. Here is a card I finished up this morning that I made using one of the newly released Cottage Impressions stamps, from The Scrapping Cottage, Moose with lights.  Now those who know me, know that I LOVE to color large images, and friends, let me tell ya that this image is WONDERFUL.  It's large enough to get in plenty of shading and dimension with Copics, and is just adorable after all the color brings it to life.  You've just gotta try these new Cottage Impressions stamps!  You're going to LOVE them, too!!
As I mentioned, I colored Mr. Moose with Copic Markers, and used some Stickles on the Christmas lights, although it doesn't show up very well in the picture.  The paper all comes from Basic Grey, and I did some hand stitching with twine around the panel, then popped the moose up with foam dots.  I mixed up the plaid patterned paper with some striped grosgrain for added interest, and while I would NEVER wear plaid and stripes together, it works for this card.

I'd like to leave you with a picture of my new grandson, because I'm as proud as I can be of him, and that's just what grandma's do!!!  The kids stopped by with him on their way to the doctor this morning to show off his Elmer Fudd hat that I bought for him a couple of weeks ago.  It's a little big for him, but it's as cute as can be, because there's ears on the top of that hat that you can't see in the picture.  What a sweetheart he is!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and for indulging me by allowing me to share my picture of Max. I promise I won't do that any more than I absolutely HAVE to!  *wink*  Have a glorious day, and happy crafting!!

Love ya!
Lorie
