Spring All Occasion Card

Hello friends, it's Marla here today and I have a new YouTube video featuring the "Spring Daffodils" die.  I am so happy that it is finally flower season once again, aren't you?  Creating cards that include flowers really bring me great joy.  I chose not to add a sentiment to the front of this card because I thought it could be used for many different occasions.  I love keeping several cards like these on hand to use in a pinch.

I hope you'll join me over on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel to see how this card came together.  If you can't join me, I've linked the CottageCutz product I used below.

Until next time... Marla

Easy Coloring with Distress Inks

Happy New Year, friends.  It's Marla here today with another CottageCutz YouTube video.  With all the cold weather making its way around this past week, I thought it would be nice to share a little ray of sunshine using the "Greenhouse" die.

I have a full tutorial using this die along with several others from the Black Friday release.  I used my Distress Inks and some water to add color to these pieces.  Check out the variance in colors that add so much character to the card.

I hope you join me on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel to see how this came together.  I will also link all of the CottageCutz products I used on this project below.  Until next time, stay warm and happy crafting.... Marla

Moving on from Christmas

Hello friends!  With the passing of Christmas our card making moves on to other seasons and holidays.  When I sat down to create my card this week, I turned my attention from snow to strawberries and pulled out the "Strawberry Plant" and "Sentiment Thank you Berry Much" dies.  I am not much of a winter girl past the holidays, so I quickly shift gears into spring and gardening after Christmas.

You can find all of the details for this card on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel.  If you don't like to color or ink blend, then using spray stains may be right up your alley.  I am sharing a few different sprays stains that I have and demonstrating how each is a little different and how easy they are to use to ink up die cuts.  I hope you'll join me.  The Scrapping Cottage is generously allowing me to offer the "Strawberry Plant" as a giveaway, so watch all the way through the video to see how you can enter.

Until next time.... Marla

Using Up Odds and Ends

Happy Wednesday, friends.  It's time for another CottageCutz YouTube Video.  I don't know about you, but my craft room looks like a bomb went off in it.  I have been happily crafting away, but honestly, not putting things away.  This left me with a pile of Christmas die cuts I had cut but had not colored or assembled.  I decided to roll up my sleeves and use a few of these odds and ends on my cards today.

If you caught the Black Friday sale, there were several fun large sentiments in the release.  This got my crafty mind churning and I thought I would pair some of my CottageCutz Christmas dies with these new large sentiments to create a couple post-holiday cards.

I've linked all of the items I used on my two cards below, but you can see how they came together and enter to win one of the sentiment dies by watching the video.  I hope this gets your crafty mind churning too and you continue to find ways to use some of the beautiful Christmas dies after the season ends.

Until next time....Marla

A Change in Direction

Hello, my crafty friends and happy Wednesday.  I'm here today with another CottageCutz YouTube video.  I don't know about you, but I always like to get more mileage out of my dies.  I enjoy making cards using slimline dies, but I know not everyone is comfortable with this sized card.  Today, I am sharing a die you may have overlooked for this reason.  It's called the "Mountains and Trees Slimline". As you can see by my card, this die is designed to create a beautiful outdoor scene and can be used with A2 sized cards as well.  I call these double bonus dies.

I hope you will head over to our YouTube Channel to see the entire card making process.  If you entered to win the "Leafy Branch 1" die from my last video, I will be announcing the winner, so you don't want to miss out.
Until next time..... Marla

One Small Die One Beautiful Wreath

Happy Wednesday.  Marla here back with a new card making tutorial on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel.  I have said over and over again how much I appreciate the small CottageCutz foliage and flower dies that have been released.  I find them so useful and have created many beautiful swag and floral arrangements using them. As we creep into fall, I thought I would revisit the "Leafy Branch 1" and use it to create a beautiful wreath.  I kept mine simple using the one die, but you could fill it with flowers, acorns or berries too. There are many colors you could use for your wreath that would also change the vibe.   I kept mine rich with a deep green because I like the way it complimented my wood plank background.

You can find more specific detail about my card in my video and enter to win this die to create fall wreaths of your own.  I hope to see you there.  Until next time.... Marla
