Cottage Cutz Lady Bug Gift Box

Greetings friends and bloggers.  Today I wanted to share with you this gift box I made for Cottage Cutz Die Cuts from The Scrapping Cottage.  I used the Ladybug and the Daisy Doily Dies.
This Ladybug is awesome.  So cute and so easy to put together.  All I did was cut the body with black card stock and the wings with red card stock.  I put some foam dimensional adhesive on the back of the wings and mounted it on the body.    My daisies are made with a punch and the centers are Martha Stewart Flocking.

Here you can see a close up of these pretty Ladybugs which are "Good Luck" by the way! The Daisy doily was used as the base for this flower and bug arrangement.  I cut it down approximately 3/4 of the way and applied it to the top of the box.

Here's the corner Ladybug at the bottom right of the box.

Surprise!!!!  Now here is what is inside the box.  I bet you weren't expecting these little sweeties in here were you.  How could I resist not making something so cute with this die.

They are paper clips.  All you have to do is assemble the Ladybug like I described above then cut one extra black body.  sandwich your paper clip between the Ladybug and the body piece and glue together-so easy and so cute.

I die cut a little leaf to place behine the Ladybug to make it look like the Ladybug was crawling on a leaf.  Here are the dies from Cottage Cutz that I used in this project.  Your can find them here:

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my project today.  I am so in love with this ladybug die that you will probably see it throughout the summer in my projects.  I love it!!!

Easter Blessings

Hello friends!  What a beautiful sunny day we are having in Massachusetts!  Hope you are having a beautiful Spring day!  Today's card features this adorable Bunnies die and Filigree Egg die.  The bunny was cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics.  I cut some ovals for the smaller eggs and wrapped them with twine then added a few bows to finish the card.

Happy Easter tomorrow!  Happy Spring!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Hogs & Kisses and Happy Wishes!

Good morning!  It's Lorie here today, and I've been playing with some of my CottageImpressions stamps, right along with my new CottageCutz Dies.  Talk about a PERFECT pairing!!  Being a "farm girl", I've always been partial to these adorable On The Farm CottageImpressions stamps.  I used the Pig Stamp, and added the Hogs & Kisses sentiment, which makes this card usable for many different occasions, just by personalizing what I put on the inside.  This sweet image is framed using one of the new dies from the March 2012 release at The Scrapping Cottage.  This CottageCutz 4x4 Magnolia Doily die is a staple for any avid paper crafter, as the possibilities with this die are absolutely endless!

The thought of a pig framed with the lacey edge of this Magnolia die, and lace ribbon just makes me smile.  That's what I love about this craft.  If you can imagine it, then it's possible.  There is no right or wrong, because if it makes you happy, or makes someone else smile, then it can't get any more right than that!

This precious little piggie was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copic markers.  The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Life Of The Party from their Lime Twist collection.  Both the lace and gingham ribbon are from Stampin' Up!.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Hogs & Kisses to you, and HAPPY CRAFTING!

Kelly has been married to her HS sweetie for almost 19 years. They have 4 kids, 2 puppies  she is a  SAHM,and lives in tropical South Florida!  she's been paper crafting for 30 years now - starting with simple scrapbooking as a teenager.  She has since added on card making for the past 7 years and loves every minute of it!  Her crafting style is pretty elemental - She loves lots and lots of layers and lots and lots of color!  The more texture, element and embellishment to a card or layout out, the more excited she is  :)  When she's not crafting, you can often find her where her kids are - she is an avid volunteer at their schools and at our church.  I love being outdoors enjoying the beauty of our environment - the nature trails, beaches, biking with the kids.  When indoors, you can find me with my nose buried in a book (or two!) and I'm an aspiring writer and I'm constantly scribbling in (altered!) notebooks ;)  I'm honored to be part of TSC team!
We are super excited to welcome Kelly to our DT and cant wait for you to see her work.

CottageCutz Spring Release

Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday to you all! My card for today features the new Spring Release. Im loving these new CottageCutz dies by The Scrapping Cottage, and you will too!!
So for my card today I used these 3 CottageCutz:

For the Zinnia Flowers I cut them out in Cryogen White Card Stock and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist. I then put them together with Liquid glue. Next i cut my vine out with green card stock and thought a little green for this card would be perfect. I wanted to keep it a little simple on this one so you could see the beauty of the flowers and card stock i used. Also wanted you to be able to see the Magnolia Doily how I layered it with a circle. I then stamped my sentiment "on your special day".

I made a double bow, using 2 different ribbons from RRR. Then added my button.

Here are the close ups to see the shimmer and ruched card stocks i used.

thank you for stopping by and hope you will be back tomorrow we will have some exciting news to share with you all!!!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Cottage Cutz Shower Peepers for Easter

Hi Bloggers!  Today it's Carol here and I have a cascading card to show you.   I saw this technique on Splitcoast Stampers.  You can get all the instructions by clicking here.

Look how cute these "Shower Peepers" are.  They are all just darling and this style card lets me show them all off.  They are just filled with personality!

This little guy is all smiles.  I cut him with yellow card stock and dry brushed the edges with black ink then I followed the little cut lines to add the "feathers" and added a few more of those lines around the whole image.  I gave him character with some blushed cheekcs (Copic R20),
When I first saw this chick I said, "Yep, that is exactly what I look like when it is house cleaning day".  lol  Isn't she adorable!
I used the following Cottage Cutz dies for this card:

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  It was so much fun to make this and bring to you today.  I appreciate your visit!

Welcome Spring

Good morning friends!  Today's card features the CottageCutz Picket Fence Border and Tree of Nature dies.  I am thrilled that they now have the longer version of the Picket Fence.  It is a die I will use quite often, as I like to create scenes.  The Tree of Nature die is really versatile.  You can make a tree with blossoms or a tree with leaves or a Fall tree.  It has such cute accessories too.  An owl, bird, bird cage, squirrel and butterflies.

I cut all the images from white cardstock and colored them with copics.  I cut the cloud freehand with scissors and finished the card with a small bit of rafia.  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

CottageCutz Flying By with Thank Yous

Good morning, happy Monday and welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog, where CottageCutz are ALWAYS blooming!!  It's Lorie here today, and I've got a sweet little airplane card to share with you that I created using the CottageCutz Airplane with Banner die from The Scrapping Cottage.  It's so darned cute paired with this perfectly coordinated paper,  from My Little Shoebox.

I like to use white card stock for my die cut pieces, and color them with Copic markers, which is what I did for this card, choosing colors to match this wonderful paper.  The clouds are actually self adhesive die cuts from My Little Shoebox.  I found some pompom trim in my ribbon stash, and I added some rhinestone embellishments to the airplane and bottom of the card for bling.  Just gotta have that bling!!  For the stitched look on the wings of the airplane, all I needed to do was accentuate the debossed stitches that were already there with a white gel pen.   All in all, a pretty quick and easy card that looks more complicated than it actually was.  I love it when that happens!!

So happy to have you join us today.  Have a blessed and beautiful day!
