Hogs and Kisses

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a fun card to share for my design team day.  The new Country Farm die release has been a delight to create with.  There are so many adorable die sets available for a variety of creations!

For today's card, I used the Playful Piggies and Piggy w/Crate die sets using colored card stock.  I also cut out 2 circle from the Pierced Circle Set with white card stock.  All of the die cuts were inked on the edges for added dimension.
For my card base, I used the Nested Rectangles Slimline die set to cut out my patterned paper and inked it on the edges.
The two pierced circles were adhered on top of my slimline card base, leaving a bit of space between them for a sentiment tag.
The Piggy w/Crate was affixed inside the bottom circle on my card.
I placed the Playful Piggy inside the top circle along with the mud splatters surrounding him.
A fun sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and adhered between the 2 circles.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:

Hay Girlfriend Peeker Card

It's Jeanne today with the Tuesday edition of the blog.  My card today is similar to the card I posted on June 4 - the instructions for that card are here

This card features  the Cow Peeker from the Country Farm Release.  There are two peekers on this release and both are adorable.  For my cards I made them into gift card holders!

I used Co'Ordinations cardstock that can be sanded to give a distressed look.  If you don't have this type of cardstock, you can used regular cardstock and sand it although you will need to add ink to give it a more distressed look.

The banners use the smallest of the new Nested Stitched Slimline Rectangles.  This die makes wonderful banners!

Have A Nice Day

Hi!

It's Anja here. I got my Country Farm release dies this week and today I have the first card to show you. I combined two dies to get this lovely card.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Stacked Farm Animals, Farm Truck w/Animals, Spring Grass),

- Distress Inks,

- craft card base (12,5x18cm),

- white card stock for die cuts,

- white pen,

- black pen,

- silver pigment ink,

- white pigment ink,

- black pigment ink,

- sentiment stamp,

- background stamp (wood),

- acrylic block,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the pets.

Next I did the same with the truck.

Next I started on the background. I used a background stamp to get the wood like look. I stamped it directly on the card base and colored it around the edges.

Next I added white shade to the middle of the background. I used white pigment ink. I also cut and colored the grass.

Last I added the sentiment to the background.

And the I just placed all the cut and colored pieces and adhered it on the card base. And my card was done.

And that's all from me for today. Have a nice week and see you again next Sunday.

Anja Z.

Hay There

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

IT'S NEW RELEASE TIME! The collection is called COUNTRY FARM! It has the most delightful dies from Tractors to Cowboy Chicks! Each die is just full of awesome details and can be used for so many different occasions. All of the new dies are on sale at 25% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure, I am featuring the new Farm Cow Peeker  + Farm Pig Peeker and created a birthday card. So let's get started with some details on how I created my card.

Design Steps:

I started off by cutting the cow & pig images. I used various colors of cardstock but you could always use white cardstock and then color the images with your favorite coloring medium. Our design team does each of the ways I just mentioned.
Since these are peeker images I decided to have them peeking from behind a "wood" themed paper. I wanted to create the idea of barn wood or a fence. It's cut at 1 5/8". For the top part I used a blue sky themed designer paper and attached it under the wood paper. It's cut at 2 3/4".  I cut the papers and used double sided tape to attach them to a piece of white card stock. This entire panel is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Next I started the card assembly. I attached the cow & pig peekers behind the wood paper panel.
Then, I attached a dark brown layering panel. It measures 5 5/8" x 4 1/4". This was attached to a medium blue card base. This measure 5 3/4" x 4 1/2".
To finish off my card, I stamped sentiments in the top corners of the card and then the happy birthday sentiment on the wood paper. And that's it for me for this week. I hope I have given you another idea for using these new peeker dies. See you next Saturday!

Happy Birthday Chick

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today and I have a card for that spring chicken in your life.  This card uses the Country Farm Chicks from the new release and some older birthday dies.  This new release features adorable farm themed dies.

I started this card by die cutting the chick, presents and balloons from various colors of cardstock.

Next I cut an A2 base from white and a gingham panel 4 x 5 1/4 inches.  Using the second largest of the Scalloped Rectangles I cut my top panel from white.

The sentiment is stamped centered at the top of the scalloped panel.  Then I adhered all the panels together, centering them.

I added the chicken and presents centered on  the bottom.

I wanted to put strings on my balloons.  To do this I put double sided tape on the back of the balloons and added the strings.

I placed foam dots on top of the string and popped them up off the card.

I love these new Country Farm dies.  They make such fun summer cards!  Be sure to visit the online store where they are on sale for a limited time.
