Easter Sweet Treat

Who doesn't like a little sweet treat, especially on Easter.  I created a lollipop cover using CottageCutz  Easter Basket Bunny.  These are so much fun to make and the Easter Bunny really makes it stand out. The matching Peachy Keen stamp set that comes with the die, creates a precious face.

Now to go make 23 more of these for my son's class.

Happy 2012! Wow...does time fly or what? Well I'm not one to make New Year Resolutions...but I do actually have one for this year. It's to LIVE!!! To enjoy life and be the best person I can be never taking one day for granted. So this card goes with my theme for 2012...LIVE LIFE TO IT'S FULLEST.

I adore the die cuts I used in this project...

Snow Bird Sign

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!  Today I created a sign...now let me explain it just a bit.  My Mother's big party each year is Christmas Eve and she always tries to have a little keepsake for everyone to take home.  This year she has a beautiful little twig tree she spray painted silver and covered in glittery snowflake ornaments for everyone.  However with it being the center piece people would never know to take one home with them...so I thought I would make a little sign to put in front tree.

I used the adorable HAPPY BIRD die for this project.  I've always looked at this die and have seen a sweet little bird singing in spring, but I love how he looks like a snowbird for my project today.....really a die you can use all year long.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Christmas and is able to spend it with family and friends.  See ya next year!!!

Quick but Beautiful Last Minute Gift

Are you needing a small little handmade gift for a teacher, hostess or friend?  I have an easy gift that really doesn't take long at all to make but is so useful.  A tissue box holder.  You can pick up wooden tissue box covers at your local craft store for just a couple dollars and then the creative fun begins.

You can cover the box with just one sheet of designer paper...granted I used two but I just wanted the mixed up patterns.  Then just add a few die cuts and and your done.  Of course you can go more detailed if you want, but I figured I didn't want to much going on as you needed to be able to get to the tissue.

I used the beautiful Blossom Branch die.  I did ink up the center and some of the edges with a little distress ink and then cupped the flowers with my McGill paper tool to lift them up.  Easy Peasy...glued them down with some strong glue and topped them off with "of course" pearls.  I do love me some pearls, LOL.

Have a great rest of the week and happy crafting.

Boxwood Vine Wreath with a Twist

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend!  Today I've created a card using the Boxwood Vine Wreath Die. I added a small twist to my wreath.  I cut it out of two varying shades of green and then I took one of my wreaths and snipped it in open.  This allowed me to wrap one wreath around the other letting the shades of green mix together for a more realistic  and fuller feel.

Don't forget to jump into our blog hop we are having right now with PSA Essentials...today's the last day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Welcome Holidays, Bring on the Sales!

Hi Everyone, it's Lori here today on gobble, gobble day.  I hope all of you have plans to be with friends and family this weekend and celebrate everything we have to be thankful for.  I heard a little saying not to long ago about if you had tomorrow everything that you had thanked God for today, what would you have?  I know my list would honestly be to long to name.  One thing I am thankful for is the wonderful design teams I'm able to serve on.  Scrapping Cottage has been so good to me and I feel so blessed to have been able to be on it with my best friend and sister Gini...yeap, I'm truly grateful.

Today I created a simple holiday card using Whimsical Tree.  I always think of Dr. Seuss for a little whimsy and pink and green...Go figure.  I love how our dies help you create really unique cards in no time, so simple but really eye catching.  I know I would love to get a card like this in the mail.

I hope you gets lots of holiday shopping done this weekend and be sure to check out our sale.... and we don't even have lines you have to stand in.  You can get dies up to 50% off...so you'll want to check it out.  It's a great time to pick up some holiday gifts for you, your family and friends and then a little more for you, LOL.

Have a blessed weekend and I'll see you soon.

Hugs,

I'm super excited to share this little box I created this weekend...I LOVE IT!!! It's from a tutorial I saw on Splitcoaststampers "Secret Box" . I've used My Little Shoebox papers from the Audrey Collection and the really cool part is the matching dies from Scrapping Cottage. Honestly it's just so much fun to create. Now let me show you everything this little box has going on.

Poinsettia Pretty

Hi Everyone, it's Lori here and I want to show you one of our new holiday die sets...Ornate Poinsettia.  It's so beautiful!

The holly leaves on the side of the sentiment are from the Christams Fawn and they add such a delicate touch.

The border is the Scallop Three Edger that has been doubled to make more of a bolder border.

See you in a few days and keep on scrapping!

Sneak Peek : Hot Cocoa Cafe

I'm so excited to share a sneak peek of one of our new Christmas Dies that will be coming out soon.  Hot Cocoa Cafe is so detailed it's just darling and honestly you don't need anything else on a card to make it a WOW project.

I topped off my card with the Scallop Three Edger, it blended in just pefect.  One of the great things about our dies is on many of them  you can use all or part of the design or just a portion.  I used the whole die for this card but wouldn't the little marshmellow tree be adorable all by itself.

Have a great week and stay tuned for more sneak peeks to come...

Boo To You

I'm so excited to share my card double z fold card with you today...I LOVE IT!!!  I really am never sure what a project is going to be when I start and I sure was happy to see how this one came to life.  The puppy is just to cute.  I've attached him with twine where he will pull up and wish you a "BOO" but he won't come all the way out and get lost.  Nothing any sadder than a lost puppy, LOL.

Once you untie the bow a Happy Halloween sentiment is ready to greet you.

Here are all the dies that are a must to make this card...be sure to scoop yours up as I hear they are selling out.

Jack-O-Joke

Today I'm sharing my Jack-O-Joke card with you. "What did the Momma Jack-O-Lantern say to the baby Jack-O-Lantern.....Cut it out. "  I always love to have fun and find humor in everything, and this is my silly sense of humor coming out with this card. The punch line is hidden with a tag that hides behind the pumpkins and can be pulled out when you're ready to find out the answer.

I used the Trick or Treat Puppy die for the Momma Pumpkin. The baby pumpkin is from Spooky Treats which is one of the My Little Shoebox dies that coordinate with their paper collections.  Just a great pairing.

Have a great rest of the week and I hope I brought a smile to your face.
