God Keeps His Promises

Happy Tuesday crafty friends,
I hope your summer day is going well. Boy has it been hot here in Central florida.  Of course the best way to beat the heat is to stay inside and do some crafting! Today I am sharing a fun little home decor piece I made with some of the new CottageCutz.com files. Here is what I created.
I created this fun little home decor piece. I picked up this little stand from the dollar store. I decorated it with all kinds of die cuts from CottageCutz.com. I cut them all out in white and then used my chalks and markers to color everything in.

He is Risen

Happy Monday friends!

Kris here with an Easter card featuring some brand new dies from the Easter 2023 Release!  This release has some really beautiful Spring and Easter flowers including lilies, tulips and daffodils, some nice crosses and a tomb, and also some cutesy bunnies & frogs and lovely birds and butterflies, things you can use for more than just Easter - and all the dies in this release are 30% OFF!

My card is a 5.5" square top folding card. I used the He is Risen w/ Empty Tomb die, the Spring Tulips die, and the Grass Slimline dies for this card.  I created a quick-time video with music if you'd like to see how I made it.  ☺  I hope this inspires you to create some BEAUTIFUL with your favorite CottageCutz dies!  ~Kristine

Spring Tulips (new die)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

We have a brand-new Easter release with 17 new designs available in the online store. There is something for every card maker with faith-based dies, beautiful floral images, whimsical with bunnies and frogs and several lovely birds and butterflies.

You will be able to take the images beyond the Easter or Spring season. And for a limited time you can get bundle pricing on the entire release at 65% off or individual dies at 30% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure I am using the new Spring Tulips and He is Risen w/Empty Tomb dies, and I created an Easter card. My daughter-in-law loves pink tulips so this one will go to her.

Design Steps:
I knew the layout I had in mind with the tulips when I started this card. So the first thing I did was cut them in a bright pink cardstock. I used a brighter green for the stems and leaves. I also cut the He is Risen phrase in the same pink cardstock.
I decided to do a bit of stenciling on the white background. I used a light hand with salvaged patina distress ink and a sponge dauber for the stencil work.

Next, I attached the tulips along the bottom and up the left side of the card using a clear drying adhesive.
Now onto my He is Risen phrase. I attached it with the same clear drying adhesive.
To finish off my card, I attached the image panel to the pink card base. I scattered a few dew drops and my card is finished. I like the way this turned out, and I am going to make another one with purple tulips.
Well that's it for me for this post. See you next Saturday!

Empty Tomb (new die)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Tuesday edition of the Blog.

We have a brand-new Easter release with 17 new designs available in the online store. There is something for every card maker with faith based dies, beautiful floral images, whimsical with bunnies and frogs and several lovely birds and butterflies.

You will be able to take the images beyond the Easter or Spring season. And for a limited time you can get bundle pricing on the entire release at 65% off or individual dies at 30% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure I am using the new He is Risen w/Empty Tomb die.

I started my card using the colors from the Splitcoaststampers color challenge #940. We are to use soft succulent, soft suede and mango melody for our color trio. Neutral shades are allowed in the challenge.

I decided to try and create an Easter card with these colorsI thought I could create an outdoor scene with limited colors and use the Empty Tomb die.

Soft suede card base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
White image panel: 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"

I started by stenciling sun rays with wild honey distress ink. I cut the stone tomb in gray cardstock and sponged with lost shadow distress ink. The greenery around the tomb is cut in soft succulent and then sponged with the same color ink for a darker shade.

Scripture states that an angel announced that Jesus had risen so I used the Nativity Camel, Palm Tree and Angel die for my angel image. I stamped my sentiment with the idea that the angel is speaking the words. Added a few rhinestones to complete my card.

See you Saturday with another sample from the new release.
