Happy Halloween

Hello everyone,

It's Donna here sharing another one of the newest Fall CottageCutz dies that was released in August. If you missed it, you can find the collection of Fall dies here. I am using the Haunted Castle that has so many possibilities. If you have not looked through the blog, please do there are so many wonderful projects by the talented design team.

 Here is my card:

Closer look from the side. I used pop dots to give the house some dimension. I also cut the ghost out in white so they would stand out. I cut yellow paper so the house looks like there is light inside the house.

Closer look of the ghost and the house.

How I created my card:

1. A2 size card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2. I cut all my pieces out,

3. Also used water color paint to make my background on water color paper,

4. I cut the water color paper down to 4 3/4 x 3 3/4,

5. I die cut the largest Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame, and adhered it to the water color paper,

6. I cut a 1/2 inch stripe of paper and a thin piece of orange paper and adhered it to the back of the Rectangle Frame,

7. I added the haunted house and the sentiment to the water color paper,

8. I added the frame to the base of the card.

9. I finished the card off by adding some clear sentiments.

Thanks again for stopping by, please stop over at the Scrappin Cottage blog to see all the beautiful designs from the other design team members. Don't forget about our newest challenge that is running right now. The theme is holiday and here is a link for more information.

TRI FOLD CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello everyone !!!

How are you all doing ?? Are you having fun with all the gorgeous Christmas inspiration?? It's indeed so exciting that the Great day is just 3 and 1/2 months away but the air is filled with spirit of joy. Card making is in full swing everywhere and new designs are making a show everyday. On this ocassion, CottageCutz has come up with amazing Christmas theme dies and many more are still on the way. The new one released just a few days ago are the cutest and most beautiful ones.

Today I'm sharing a Tri fold long Christmas card with you and the twist is that , it is made of envelopes. Yes!!! We can effectively use envelopes to create card bases. This saves a lot of time especially when we have to make a lot of cards.
I am sharing here the pictures as to how I have prepared my card base. The close ups of the various parts of the card will explain you , how I have built up my card.

Here is my card.

The finished card measures 8.75inches x 4.5 inches.
You need  three long envelopes 8.75 inches x 4.5 inches that open side ways on the elongated side.
Place the envelopes side by side like this with two envelopes on either side flap side up.

Join the envelopes together. Adhere the flap of the envelope on the left side with envelope in the middle and repeat with the other side.

Cut out pattern papers a little smaller than the envelope to cover the card front, inside and back. Here I have used pattern papers and  stamp from Heartfelt Creations .

Add ribbon and now adhere the pattern paper.

Decorate the card with CottageCutz dies. Add an embossed pattern paper and cover with CottageCutz Wide rectangle stitched frame. Cut die cuts from Holiday bell and layer upon a scrap of paper. Add glitter. Adhere to the card. Add die cut  from the Merry Christmas ribbon.

On the first panel add die cuts from CottageCutz Garden stamp and Winter Cabin Border.

Add die cut from CottageCutz leafy swirls and Best Wishes die cut.

 The finished inside panel

Dies used are listed below.

A fabulous challenge# 5 is going on at the blog and we would be really happy to see your entries.

BIRDBATH AND MORE

Hello dear friends !!!!

Happy Saturday to you !!! Are you all geared up to enjoy the weekend !!! I hope you have some plans for crafting also. I have set aside a few hours for making cards !!! I would like you all to have a look at all the CottageCutz dies , especially the new releases. They are simply fabulous.

Today, I am sharing a very simple yet elegant card with you. I have always been fascinated with bird baths and so when I saw this die , I was so happy.

So here is my card.

I combined two die cuts CottageCutz die Victorian bird bath and Bird Bath together. This gave me more birds on my birdbath. I have distressed the die cut a little with Distress ink Worn Lipstick.

This is another close which shows how I have used the CottageCutz Blossom Branch. I have cut the leaves from the branch and distressed them with Peeled Paint distress ink and arranged with the flowers.

The backdrop is the Swirl embossing folder on white card stock cut to the size 4 inches by 5 inches.
Then I used CottageCutz  Wide Rectangle Stitched Frame and on top of that I attached the CottageCutz Stitched Oval frame set as shown in the picture.

For the filigree background, cut four CottageCutz Fancy Floral #2 die in white card stock, and arrange at the four corners of the frame.
Place the whole thing on a pattern paper measuring 5 inches by 7 inches. Adhere on green card stock folded to form the complete card that measures 7.5 inches by 5.5 inches. Add a die cut from stash for sentiment. Add a bow on the left side.

The finished card.

The CottageCutz challenge 4 is going on at the blog. So do share your entries to win awesome prizes.

Sweet Home With Flowers

Hello dear friends,

It's Saturday today I am Anita here and I have a new card for you made with the new release HOME SWEET HOME collection. Such minute detailed dies are included in this series that I am amazed. You can build your entire house with this release.
However, as my forte is flower making, I decided to make a delicate blue floral card adorned with pretty flowers and a sweet home. So here is my card along with the close up pictures to show you the details of the cards and how the dies have been used.

The card measures 7.5 inches by 5.5 inches.
I have used an embossed dotted paper in blues and have added some zig zag stitching to it, to coordinate with Stitched rectangle die.
This card is all about layering.
The flowers have been created using the CottageCutz 3D flower # 5 and many leaves. The leaves have been coloured with Distress ink Peeled Paint.
