Berry-Bug Cupcakes

Hello & happy Monday CottageCutz friends! Guest Designer Kris here with a yummy slimline card, fit for a sweet ladybug on your card list!  I've used the Lady Bug Cupcake die and Berry Phrases from the new Strawberries & Bees Release!

DESIGN STEPS:

1.  I cut my card base from thick white cardstock at 8-1/8" x 6-1/4" and scored in half at 3-1/8".

2.  I die cut the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline from red cardstock.

3.  I die cut the Windows Slimline from light blue cardstock.

4.  I cut a piece of white cardstock at 7-7/8" x 2-7/8"

5.  On that single layer of white cardstock, I used a stencil and a blending brush to create clouds up top with Distress Oxide ink, and then I added Twisted Lime Distress Oxide ink on the bottom for "grass"

6.  Next, I layered that panel to the center of my red scalloped panel.  Then I taped that onto the front of my card base.

7.  I added 1/8" thick foam adhesive strips to the back of my blue window frames.

*TIP:
To get it on straight, I peeled all the backings off my foam tape and I put it on a wax sheet (the glossy ones that separate the magnet boards from Stamp-n-Storage) --- they work super well for this!! Once I get it centered and adhered at the top, I gently slip the waxy paper out and Voila!

8.  I die cut my pieces from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  Then I glued all my cupcake pieces together.

9.  All that's left is to add the CUTE images to my card front with foam tape!

10.  I also die cut some sentiments, but in the end, I couldn't fit them onto the front so I added them to the inside.

And here's the whole release!

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Have a craft-astic week :)

Strawberry Gnome Couple So Sweet Card

Happy TuesDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on on another sweet TuesDIE. Today I am sharing another very simple but so sweet card I created, featuring dies from the new Strawberries and Bees release
Today's card features the adorable little Strawberry Gnome Girl Die and the Strawberry Gnome Boy Die. They are part of the new Strawberries and Bees release. I also used the Strawberry CottageStrawberry Treats 1, and the Berry Phrases Die from the same release. My finished card size is a standard top folding A4 size. The base is white cardstock and then I added a piece of green cardstock. To that, I added a mat of some patterned striped paper.

I started by die cutting all my pieces in white. I colored and assembled each little gnome. I then cut out the large strawberry from the Strawberry Cottage. I colored it and the leaf at the top in. I then added the sweet little cake from the Strawberry Treats 1 die.

Lastly I die cut the words So and Sweet from the Berry Phrases Die set and then colored those in with my green marker.

Here is one last look at my completed card. I am going to be using this for an Anniversary card. The little couple is just too cute!

So Berry Sweet Gnome Card

Happy ThursDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on on this Terrific Thursday! I hope you are enjoying your week thus far and if you are state side...hopefully you are beating the heat! Staying in and crafting is always a great refreshing way to relax in these dog days of summer! Today I am sharing a very simple but sweet card I created featuring dies from the new Strawberries and Bees release

The focal point of this simply sweet card is the adorable little Strawberry Gnome Girl Die. She is part of the new Strawberries and Bees release. I also used the Berry Phrases Die from the same release. My finished card size is a standard top folding A4 size. The base is white cardstock and then I added a piece of red cardstock. To that, I added a mat of some patterned strawberry paper. I designed the paper and printed it out. I purposely made the strawberries on the paper tiny so they wouldn't be disproportionate to the rest of the composition.

Here's a closeup of that sweet little Strawberry Gnome Girl.

She was very easy to assemble. I just cut all her pieces out in white and then colored them in. That really is my favorite thing to do. Coloring your die pieces is very relaxing. She comes together very easily and is so sweet.

Here's another view of her closeup. Once I assembled her, I added some foam tape to give her a little lift off the mats. I used a pink and red cardstock mat and put those on top of Wacky Stitched mat. I added just a tiny touch of stickles to the centers of her hairbows and the centers of the little flowers on her berry hat.

Here's a closeup of the sweet title and two berries. I did the same with the title pieces. I cut them all out in white and then colored them in.
