Butterflies card

Today I am sharing with you my new Butterflies card I created with beautiful

CottageCutz Collection of dies.

For this card I used 3 dies: Fancy Floral Background, Filigree Butterfly Trio and Butterfly with flowers.

First, I created background using "Fancy Floral Background". I cut Floral background out using Sizzix machine. Then, I cut this whole piece of background with scissors on half. One half of background I keep for other project and another one, I used for this card. Just glued background on embossed blue base card and added 3 butterflies. All 3 butterflies I, also, cut out using cream cardstock. I forgot about ribbon. Yes, I added two colors of ribbon on this card and cute bow in the middle of ribbons. Decorate card with yellow rhinestones.

 For this project I used:

CottagCutz Storage Ideas

Hello everyone, and welcome to CottageCutz Week of "Storage Idea's" for your CottageCutz Dies. Carol here with how I store my CottageCutz Dies. This next week the CottageCut Design Team Members will be sharing how they store their CottageCutz dies with all of you. Its always nice to get some idea's of storage for our crafting supplies, and we hope that you find some inspiration from our Design Team. They will each be posting on different days this week sharing idea's on how to store CottageCutz Dies!
My  Cottage Cutz die are stored in one of those huge boxes you can purchase at Michaels.  You can see that I have rubber bands around my groups of dies.  That's because I like to keep the collections together.  It's just me!!!  I keep all my original packaging as well.  Yes I do!  I've always been like this even as a kid.  I had collect Boyds Bears since 1997 and it took me just 4 years ago to get rid of all the boxes and original foam packaging....lol  I'm a stickler for keeping things like new.
This is another  box I keep my dies in.  I use my CottageCutz die a lot so I keep them close to me in my work area. Christmas and Halloween dies are stored away until the next season.   I like to keep everything in their original package.  It's just me and the way I am.  I collected Boyds Bears since 1997 and just 5 years ago I got rid of all the original packaging for those.  I like to keep things like new.   Maybe I'll change this some other time.  But for now I like them this way.  I am a die-a-holic and require the 12 step program for my addiction...lol  I do use the magnetic pages and binding system for wafer thin dies, cut I like my CottageCutz with the original pictures so I can refer to them when piecing the die cut pieces together.

Well folks, that's all for me today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

CottageCutz Storage Idea's with Vladka

Hi everyone. Vladka is here today.

This week the CottageCut Design Team Members sharing how they store their CottageCutz dies with all of you. It is always nice to get some idea's of storage for our crafting supplies, and we hope that you find some inspiration from our Design Team. Each of us will be posting on different days this week sharing idea's on how to store CottageCutz Dies!
Hope you will stop by and take a peek.

And this is not all, you can already see how Olena and Cheryl store their dies and today is my turn to show you how I store mine. I have bigger ones on my so called CottageCutz wall. It looks like this:
What I like about them is that they are mostly always in standard sizes as 3x3, 4x4, 4x6, minis and so on. So, because of that it is much easier to store them. But before I hang them on this rails, I took away the original plastic cover and put the original paper sheet together with die in the bag. I buy little bags in different sizes and each of them has a zipper which is really practical, because I can take out and put dies back how many times I want. I also made video for you where I try to show and tell more about my SC storage. If you want to see the bigger screen, just click on YouTube in the bottom line of the video.  And here it is:
As you´ve seen in video, I have my minis in the wooden box with 6 drawers and also here I try to keep them in some order. Here you can see how this box looks like:
I hope this was interesting and maybe this gives you some idea how to store your dies. Have fun!

CottageCutz Wedding Shower Tag

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of CottageCutz dies. It's Carol today with a project share.   Here in my neck of the woods, we are getting ready for a Wedding on "Pi" day!   There was a shower recently to honor the Bride and this is the tag I made for the gift I brought.  I made this with the idea that the Bride could use it as an embellishment in her Wedding Scrapbook.
Yes, I do know what you are thinking.  I have had an influence on the Brides hobby by choice!!!  lol  This wedding is filled with lots of homemade hand crafted touches.  We have been working and still working for about a year.  This tag was made with the beautiful  Elegant Veil & Top Hat die from CottageCutz.  The Best Wishes Expression die was used on the little banner.
Hope you have enjoyed a little "Wedding Inspiration".  Be sure to check out the "Wedding Collection" of beautiful dies over at The Scrapping Cottage.  There are lots of beautiful dies to select from for all your decorating needs.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.  Here are the dies used:

Telescope folding Valentine Card

Hello everyone, today I wanted to share a super fun card I made for Valentines day. This is a Telescope Fold Card. These are easy and fun to make.

Here is the Card Completely Closed Up!

For the Card- I just picked 3 different base sized circles. Most of them are spellbinders dies, except the top one, it is a CottageCutz "Be Mine" Die, and then I layered a pink spellbinder circle under the red layer on this one. For all the others, I layered each one how I wanted it to look before connecting them all together. The key is to decorate them before connecting them, and to make sure any of your die cut pieces are glued down good, so they don't get in the way when opening this card.

CottageCutz Dies- I just had to pull out these older Valentines CottageCutz dies, as I love making Valentines cards. So for this card I used CottageCutz "Be Mine", "Tweet Love", "Mr. Love Bug", "Sweet Flourish", "Fancy Cattails&Butterflies",Expressions "Valentines Day", all are CottageCutz Dies from The Scrapping Cottage.

Partially Opened card in the photo above

Embellishments- I kept it pretty simple for embellishing this card, as you want to have it close easy with no embellishments in the way. So I only embellished the top layer with some half backed pearls. I was sure to glue them on with glue, so they don't fall off easy. I also added some glitter to the "Mr. Love Bug" Die cut. This gives it a fun look and a little extra Bling for my card.

Supplies Used:
CottageCutz Dies
Spellbinders Dies
Half Backed Pearls
Viva Pearl Pen
American Crafts Card Stock
American Crafts True Love Paper
American Crafts Glitter
Copics for Coloring
Dusting with Distressed Inks
Brads

My card fully Open!
Thank you for looking and I always love hearing from you all! So let me know what you think of my Telescope Card!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Mr. Snuggles "Make a Wish" Card

Hello everyone! Cheryl here today, and Hope you all are doing well, and enjoying the New Year! :)
Today I wanted to share a Birthday Card I made for the Scrapping Cottage using the darling CottageCutz dies.

For my CottageCutz Mr. Snuggles, he was cut with white card stock, and then colored with 4 different Copic's in E shades. Next I added some blush to his cheeks, and some white gel dots. For his eyes I used Viva Pearl Pen in black. His nose is popped up using a pop dot.

Design Paper- is from American Crafts and is the Pebbles Birthday Wishes paper stack. Love the designs on this dp, perfect for the CottageCutz Birthday Release. CottageCutz Party Hat is cut using the same design paper. I also used another design from this same paper stack for the cake.

Layers- on this card there are 4 layers, that includes the doily on the background layer. I used the CottageCutz Magnolia Doily for the top circle layer. This is for my main images.

Embellishments- I used some brads that I had picked up at the AC warehouse sale last year. I ended up using the Yellow and Blue ones. I also used a Viva Pearl Pen in white to do all the Pearls on the cake and hat. Next I did use glitter glue on the hat as well. Ribbon is extra that I picked up for an awesome deal at the same warehouse sale.

CottageCutz Dies Used: these photo's are all linked to the Scrapping Cottage Store for easy finding.
