Spring Treehouse

Hi, Vladka here today with you!

Tree is perfect place to hide from the world and time and to catch the moments of peace and pleasures. I wanted to catch such moment in my card and for this I used CottageCutz  Spring Treehouse die. First I've coloured it with Distress Inks (Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo in Forest Moss). Then I've embossed it with clear embossing powder and tree gets the shine and special look. I love the results. I also added a piece of fence, which I cut out with Picket Fence Border die and also coloured it with Distress Inks. Simple and special. I hope you like it.

It is really hot here in our little country these days and this could be excuse to catch some more moments of peace, with some good book in one hand and with a cool drink in the other. Have a nice day.

Fancy Floral Lace Border and Filigree Butterfly

Hello... It's me (Simona) with you again with another card
for The Scrapping Cottage Blog. With today's card
I am showcasing beautiful
from the Fancy Floral Release.

I cut the Fancy Floral Lace Border 4x out of white cardstock.
Then I stitched it by hand onto the colored cardstock
as seen on the photo above.
I cut the butterflies once out of white cardstock.
I used two different shaped butterflies and layered
them together. I distressed the edges of the butterflies
with Distress Ink - rusty hinge and also added some
clear glue glitter. At the end I used some white liquid pearls.

Since I didn't want to place the sentiment on the front
of the card, I also did the inside of the card this time.
I masked one of the butterflies with rusty hinge distress ink.
Then I used the oval doily die and stamped my
sentiment "From Someone who cares".

A close up.

Here are some more photos taken from a different angle.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Simona

Fancy Ornate Birdcage

Happy Friday everyone!

Kathy with you, and today I have a card using two new dies from the Fancy Floral Release, the Fancy Ornate Birdcage Die and Fancy Floral Lace Border Die!

I love how delicate these new dies are and how nicely they cut! For my card, I used Maripsa Designer Papers for the background and the birdcage, then green and tan cardstock for the rest. I added a little Diamond Stickles to the bird in the cage to highlight it, then added a sentiment, trim, bow, button, and pearls. Very easy card to put together!

Here's a little closeup of the dies for you...

CottageCutz Quackers & Quack

Greetings friends and papercrafters.  How about Quackers and Quack???  Aren't they super cute!   Just had to pair these little cuties with this fun stamp I got at the Scrap Expo this summer.    Sing in the Rain, Dance in the Sun, Dream by the Light of the Moon.  The Quacker on the left looks like he is dancing and the one on the right looks like he is singing.  I just knew I had to pair these two items together.  I love this sentiment.  It reminds us to enjoy life and not take ourselves too seriously!
Here's my dancing Quacker.  I die cut him out on yellow card stock and distressed him with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.  The Bill and the fee were cut on a melon colored card stock.  I put a little pink chalk on the cheeks to my Quacker a little flushed from all that dancing.
The Singing Quacker was created in the same manner and attached to the card with some foam pop dots.  I just love how they go so well together on a card.
The corners were created with the Bella Spring Corner die.  It gives it the lacy feel.  I added three handmade daisies with rhinestone centers and a few punched leaves.  So fun to make and so cute to send.   Thanks for stopping by today.  I sure do appreciate it.  Happy Crafting!
