Christmas Tree Tractor

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

I have a few more Christmas cards to finish up so I thought I would try a farm themed mini slimline.  The adorable tractor is perfect for this theme and style of card.  The die I am using is called Christmas Tree Farm Tractor.

 Design Steps:

1.  Use the Christmas Tree Farm Tractor die and cut out the pieces using: green, red, dark red, silver black, brown, and tan.  Glue the pieces together using a fine tip clear drying glue
2.  For the mini slimline base use kraft card stock cut 6 1/2 x 6 folded in half measuring 3 1/4 x 6.  Piece of checked green DP 3 1/8 x 5 7/8.  Cut a Pierced Oval using the 3rd from the largest oval out of snow dotted kraft card stock, and a piece of white cut out with the same oval then cut in half with the Hills Slimline
3.  Glue the kraft oval to the center of the green checked DP and then glue down the half white oval
4.  Pop up the tractor and then add the red checked ribbon.  Glue the checked piece to the kraft card base
5.  Stamp the sentiment and layer onto green card stock.  Pop the sentiment as shown above.  Add the tiny snowflakes and your card is complete

Hello there friends!
It's Theary here on the blog today. I wanted to stop in and share a video that I created on The CottageCutz Youtube channel.

This card was created featuring some of the new products from our most recent release. I used the house from the Winter House 1 die, and some trees from the Campin Out Trees die.

You can check out the video here.

Christmas Window

Good morning Cottagecutz fans. I hope your week is gong well and that you are almost ready for Christmas. I can’t believe it’s next week. I say this every year but where does the year go?

Anyway, it’s Wendy bringing you the blog today. I have a simple sweet card for you using some of my very extensive Cottagecutz stash.

I thought’s I’d make a little window scene. I have had these dies for a while and I thought, let’s use them.

To begin with I took s card 6” x 4”. At each inch point I have scored a line. I then cut out the ‘Window with  Shutters’ die in white an then the top and bottom in grey. Behind the window I used the “Window Christmas Friends” tree die and added some some gold tinsel from the same die. I then added some red pearls to look like lights. I thought it would be fun to have wallpaper behind the tree so I had this in my crafty stash.

I attached the window with 2mm foam pads as I wanted some dimension. At the top of the card I used the same ‘tinsel’ that I used on the tree and added some poinsettias,l finished with gold gems.

Next I thought the card looked a little bland so I used the ‘Build a House Accessories’ and cut out the lamps twice for each side of the card. I also used the dog which I layered 3 times so it looked more realistic. That is our card done

Dies I have used:

I have been a little bit distracted and excited this week as my craft room was finally finished,I am so blessed to have such a large room and my family have really pulled together to get this finished for me.

Here’s a few photos, excuse my crafty mess

Quick Popup

Hi everyone Happy Monday and oh my, oh my, it's almost Christmas and 2022 so whose ready?! Not me time is going by way too fast for me.  I made this popup Christmas cards for a friend of mine kid who happened to be watching me craft.  She said "oooo make the bear popup" hahha I laughed and so oh ok now that I can do for sure...

So I created a slimline popup by cutting my card stock to 4 x 8.5 and scored it at 4x5, and then made two other sections at 4 x 3 approximately.  I then covered it with patterned paper that my new helper chose and then made the popup piece by simply folding a piece of paper for it to lean against.
I colored my diecut pieces with my copics and glued them with a twist meaning.  I put the hat on my bear and made the bear pull the reindeer... she thought it was funny so we went with it.
I have started coloring on colored cardstock with my copics I feel this gives it a different look
Here is my finished popup card and you can see the piece of paper I adhered to the back of my Santa Bear and walla easy peasy

I really love how it came out and I topped it off with the "Merry Christmas" sentiment
using gold foil paper

Holiday Cocoa Gift with Tag And Card

Happy Sunday Scrapping Cottage friends! Melinda here with another project share. Today I am showcasing an easy, cute and sweet gift and card set.

Here is a look at my project.

I decided to use some sticker paper for my jar. It is a matte finish sticker paper. I ran it through my Gemini with my die and it cut the paper like butter!

I filled my jar with some hot cocoa mix, a layer of red sugar, some chocolate and white chocolate chips. I then added another layer of the hot cocoa mix and then some more red sugar and the chocolate and white chips. I then set to work coloring out all of the different pieces and then began to layer them.

Here's a look at the finished smore for the jar front. The sticker paper layered very well and adhered without any ripples or bumps onto the jar.  I didn't put a layer of Mod Podge over it, but you could to seal the stickers. I finished off the jar by wrapping some red and white twine several times around the lid.

Here is a shot showing how I pulled the sticker paper backing off so I can build up the characters.

Here is the cute little smore on the lid of the jar from the Christmas Smores die set.

Here's a look at the card. I used a variety of die cuts from the Holiday CocoaChristmas Smores and the Sweet As A Christmas Cookie Die sets. I cut them all out of plain white cardstock and then colored them with my various markers.

Here is a closer look at them. I used the rolling pin and wrote "Have A" and then the Sweet Christmas sentiment came from the Sweet As A Christmas Cookie die set. I finished off the mat with some of my White Nuvo drops. I added the pink mat onto the largest scallop stitched rectangle die from that set. I then mounted all of that onto a horizontal folded A2 card base.

Here's a look at the cute little tag I made. I used the Holiday Cocoa die set. I colored all of my various pieces with marker after I cut them all out of plain white cardstock.

I cut out an extra die of the cup in white cardstock and then backed the colored die with it. I wrote the "to and from" on there with my red marker.
