CottageCutz Caught A Bug?

Good morning and happy Thursday to ya!  It's Lorie here today, and I bring you a card style that I'm finding I like more and more.  Usually, I'm one who likes to spend a lot of time fussing over cards, adding lots of detail, but I'm finding myself more often thinking hard about how to make a clean and simple (CAS) card, that looks classy, without overdoing the frill.  Sometimes that's easier said than done, but that's what I've done with my card today.  For this one I used the CottageCutz Grasshopper Mini die.  I tried a new technique on the paper I used for the grasshoppers.  You can find the tutorial I followed, along with complete instructions HERE.
I followed the instructions for the tutorial using colors I thought went well with the background paper, then cut the grasshoppers out using the mini die and my Bigshot.  After they were cut, I did add some sponging around the edges in both green and brown.  I took a tiny Sharpie marker and filled in the debossed eye.  Above the center grasshopper you'll see what looks like a little heart.  That's a total accident, as I used confetti white card stock, and it has little colorful flecks in it.  It just happened that the red fleck showed up right smack dab in the middle of the embossed stripe background.  The embossed background was done using a Stampin' Up! embossing folder.

Here's a look at the CottageCutz die that I used.  These minis are GREAT for simple cards, and scrapbook layouts.  Wouldn't this be cute cut out in patterned paper?  Maybe green with polka dots?    A must have for ALL your Summer themed papercrafting!

I'm so happy to be able to share with you today, and I hope you like what you've seen.  We've got a big blog hop coming up in just a few days, and let me tell you that you DON'T want to miss it!   Be sure to You're in for LOTS of inspiration and maybe even some fabulous prizes, too!  See you at the Hop!

CottageCutz Mini Toilet Paper Album & Video

Hello everyone Cheryl here to share a Toilet Paper Mini Album I designed for CottageCutz using the Beautiful Springtime Release.
So for my Mini Album I used 3 toilet paper rolls. I save all our rolls and make DARLING mini's out of them all.

For this one I used Basicgrey dp and then CottageCutz dies, and Really Reasonable Ribbon.

There is enough room inside this mini to add photo's, these are super fun to make, if you havent tried making one you will surely have to.

I normally flatten my rolls and then run them through the big shots machine to flatten more. Next I will use the bone folder to give a nice crease.

Hope you enjoy my video on my CottageCutz Mini!!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Flower Cluster Card for Mother's Day

Hi everybody it's Carol here today.  Mother's day is just around the corner and when I created this card I was thinking of my Mom.  The die is called "Flower Clusters" and I wanted to make it look like Lilac's so I added another layer of dimension to the die.  Oh this was so fun to make and went together quickly.
Here is a list of cuts you need to create this card:
The card base is a 6" x 12" piece of card stock folded in half.
The next piece is designer paper at 5-3/4" x 5-3/4"
5-1/2" x 5-1/2" is the next piece of paper
The black piece of card stock under the Fleur de Lis die is 4" x 4-3/4"
The designer paper on top of the  Fleur de Lis dis is 4" x 3"
The corners are  black card stock-cut 2 square 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" then cut diagonally to make the triangles
I have included a video here to show you how I created the flowers.   Thank you so much for stopping by today to view my project.  I appreciate it!  Remember to create something wonderful for your Mom for Mother's day.  She will absolutely love it!

♥♥♥NEW Tea Time Lace Envelope's & Video's♥♥♥

Hello everyone, Cheryl here to share the SUPER SWEET new Tea Time Release CottageCutz "Lace Envelope". Omgosh I LOVE this DARLING new die and you will too!!!

So for my 1st CottageCutz Lace Envelope I'm showing it as a invite, or a little note holder. I airbrushed it and added some flowers and ribbon to decorate it up. I left the front blank.
My next one is a Gift Card Holder, I thought this would be perfect for giving Gift Cards for the holidays and Birthdays, and so on :)

Now in the picture below, i used the 2 leaves on the side of the flap, next to my rose to tuck under and hold it closed, this can open and close :)

I didnt decorate the folded piece, but thought it would also be nice in a mini album with pictures and writing.

I just had to use the DARLING Lady Bug on my Gift Card holder. they are super sweet. I added Viva Pearl Pen and they look like pearls, but this was super fast and easy to do :)

Not Just an Easter Bunny

Hello friends!  Today's card features the CottageCutz Easter Basket Bunny.  I love this little bunny so I chose to use it as an all occasion card.  It doesn't have to be used for Easter.  I replaced the Easter basket with a crocheted flower from Stampin Up.

I cut the bunny with white cardstock and colored with Copics.  I also used the Butterfly Mini, Scallop Three Edger, and the Scalloped Doily.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
