In traditional colors

Hi, Janja here!

Today I share with you a holiday card in traditional Christmas colors. The card layout is simple and will not take us a lot of time.

For the card we need:
- white card base: 4.5 x 5.8" (11,5 x 14,7 cm), folded
- gold mirror paper: 4.25 x 5.5" (10,8 x 14 cm)
- patterned paper: 4 x 5.25" (10,2 x 13,4 cm)
- white cardstock
- red paint with blow-up effect
- Distress ink: Festive Berries, Moved Lawn

We prepare cutouts with the dies: elegant deer & wreath, Merry Christmas Santa, tea time doily, holiday wreath and the largest die from circle set.

Shadow both wreaths with Distress inks. For a super blow-up effect apply an inflatable red paint with handy pen on holly berries.

Fasten red patterned paper on to gold mirror paper and mat them together on to white card front. Add all the cut-outs as shown in the photo.

This luxurious gold paper has a highly reflective surface of the mirror. When taking photo, I had quite a few problems. Wherever I set up, I saw my reflection.

Thank you for watching.

Sunflowers & Country Crows

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

Kathy with you and today I have a fall card made using CottageCutz dies and stamps. The dies I used are Pot of Sunflowers, Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner, Tea Time Doily and Fancy Floral Lace Border. The stamps I used are Cottage Impressions' Country Crows.

I started with a side-step card for a base using a tutorial from Split Coast Stampers you can find here and Chance designer paper. I cut the Fancy Floral Lace Border with white and sponged the edges a bit. The "sun" is the Tea Time Doily cut with More Mustard that I trimmed down and inked a little. The Pot of Sunflowers were cut with More Mustard for the pot, Mocha Devine for the dirt and flower centers and white for the leaves and flower petals that I colored with inks. The green butterflies and flower were pieces cut with the Chance designer paper using the Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner that I trimmed and shaped.

The Country Crows were stamped on Solar White with Onyx Black Ink and colored with pencils. I then fussy cut them and popped them on the card, one on the front and the other on one of the "steps". I also made a second sunflower and popped it on the second "step" in the background. This is a fun card shape to give a scenery card a little depth.

Here are the dies and stamps I used.

CottageCutz Fancy Peony Easel Card

Welcome it's Carol here with another creation for CottageCutz at The Scrapping Cottage.  Today's dies are the Fancy Peony, Fancy Floral Corner #2, Bella Leafy Branch, and Tea Time Doily.
This is an easel card made with the spellbinders scallop nestability set as my base.  I then attached the Fancy Floral Corner #2 around the outside edge on the back.  They fit perfectly together to give the lacy affect you see here.
The tea time doily is used to showcase the beautiful Fancy Peony die.  I used some rhinestones in the center of the flower that I cut from a rhinestone trim sheet,  The flower were created with a medium 5 petal punch and distressed with peacock feather distress ink.   You can see the sweet Bella Leafy Branch that I cut up and used to accent the flowers.
Thank you for stopping by today to view my card.  I sure do appreciate it.   Until next time, happy crafting and see you soon!!!  Here are the dies I used:

CottageCutz Vintage Clock

Hello friends!  Today it's Carol for the CottageCutz Design Team.  It's the last day of February.  Can you believe it.  I am still working on a Christmas Album....lol    But for today I have the Vintage Clock die from CottageCutz.  This die is perfect for an Anniversary Card, Retirement Card, or Birthday.
This is such a pretty die.  Brushed Corduroy distress ink was used on the die cut to shade it.  The die cut behind the clock is the Tea Time Doily.  There are two more layers behind the doily which include the Circle and Scalloped Circle from Spellbinders.  The punched border is a Martha Stewart punch.  The lace border is lace from Hobby Lobby and the rhinestones are from Recollection.  Crystal Effects was used on the face of the clock to give it a "Mother of Pearl" effect.    These are the dies use:

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I really appreciate you taken time from your busy day to visit.  Enjoy your day and happy crafting.

CottageCutz Heart Shaped Box

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa here today and I am sharing a Valentines Heart Box with you.

This is a candy box purchased at the dollar store. I ate the candy **snicker** just so I could decorate the box!

I used several beautiful CottageCutz dies on this.

I did some punching and layered that on the top and bottom of the box. I also dyed some lace with glimmer mist to match.

The box was finished off with some chipboard accents. I covered the in gesso then stamped with a musical note stamp and embossed them in gold.
