3 Simple Tags

Happy Tuesday Cottagecutz fans. I hope your week is going well. I have been busily crafting all weekend. I just love this time of year for paper crafts

It’s Wendy bringing you the Today blog. Today I have 3 simple tags. Simple can be very classy and this Christmas release has no end of super fun dies to choose from

To begin with I cut 3 of the nested scalloped rectangles in 3 different colours (4” x 3/4”). I then cut in kraft card 3 nested stitched rectangles and I did the same with some patterned acetate (3” x 2 1/8”). You could get a similar affect if you used the splatter technique on your card

Next I cut out 3 half stitched rectangles and used the Slimline Hills to give them a lovely snowy affect. I am doing this to give the tags some point of interest but it also hides the glue on the acetate.

So I assembled the base of the tags, first the Nested Scalloped Rectangles, then the kraft card and acetate. I then glued the snow to hide the acetate. The hole at the top of the tag will also keep the acetate in place

I then cut the ‘Joyful Snowman’ and Santa and the trees from the ‘Special Delivery’ die set

I attached the elements to the tags with 1mm foam pads and then threaded through the ribbon

I really hope you like the tags. Have a wonderful week and I will see you on Friday with a project from the new release

Birthday Garden

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you on the blog today!

I am using one of our new slimline dies today and a variety of dies from our Springtime Release.  I have a number of birthdays coming up in the spring and summer months so I am getting a head start.

Design Steps:
1.  Begin by using a blue slimline card base and set aside.  Use the second from the largest Slimline Stitched Rectangle die and cut out 2 (one for the inside) using white card stock.  On the white rectangle for the front of the card use a blue ink and blender brush add some sky in the three spots as shown above
2.  Use the Victorian Fence die and cut out 3 pieces of fence on kraft card stock.  Using the Spring Grass die cut out 3 pieces of grass on green card stock.  Trim down the grass and fence then glue the grass to the bottom front of the fence.  Glue the fence bottom only to the card front in the area where you inked.  The reason you only glue down the bottom is so you can tuck in the flowers behind the fence
3.  Use the Spring Flower PotBunny Gnome 1Cat w/Spring Bird, Spring Bloom CottageBird w/ Bluebells, Mouse w/Flower Cart for all of your garden pieces.  I used 2 shades of green, purple, yellow, pink, tan, gray, black and vellum

4.  Assemble your flowers, watering can, birds, and bees.  Glue the flowers behind the fence as shown.  After your flowers are tucked in glue the top part of the fence down.  Pop up the watering can, bunny and bird as shown.  Glue the bees in place as shown,  add little pearls to the inside of your flower then stamp and add your sentiment. Your card is complete

I got a lot of use out of the Spring Release collection with different pieces from a variety of dies.  And I just love how it turned out.

Blessing and Take Care
