Happy Birthday Slimline Birthday Card
Hello Scrapping Cottage friends!
Sweet Treats Release
Build An Ice Cream Cone
Melinda here with you on this Terrific Tuesdie! Today I am sharing a project featuring dies from the SUPER SWEET New Sweet Treats Release! Talk about sweet! This set is over the top adorable! Here is what I created.
I created this fun and festive Happy Birthday Slimline card. I started with a standard 3.5 x 8.5 size.
I cut all my pieces out in plain white cardstock. I love to color my pieces in.
I then mounted all of my ice cream cones onto the smallest scallop stitched rectangles. I used some adorable festive green dot patterned paper for the card front base. I added a fun patterned paper background to each scalloped mat.
For the center cone, I used the next largest scallop stitched rectangle and the same cute stitched patterned paper. I absolutely love this die set. The possibilities truly are endless!
To finish off the card, I added the Happy Birthday Sentiment
I am trying to build up my Birthday card stash as it is severely lacking! These dies are perfect to achieve that task.
Here is the new sweet treats release.
The Dies I used to create this project:
It is filling up with beautiful projects and great how-tos!

I used the Pedestal stand to use as my focal point for a Clean and Simple look
I used some fun patterns that go along with the cupcakes and used a piece of pink csrdstock for the center of the card
I put the cupcake stand in the center and added my cupcakes in alternsting color combos.

Gumball Treats for Father's Day
Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.
It's new release time!!! We have new dies in the online store. It's our Sweet Treats release with 13 new designs. They are so perfect for any card making occasion you may have. The individual dies are currently 30% off.
Today for your viewing pleasure I have created a Father's Day card using the new Candy & Gumballs die. So, let's get started with some details on how I created my card.
Design Steps:
Design Steps:
I had a card base and matching designer paper layer in my stash that I thought would be perfect for a masculine card. And it would work well to display the Gumball machine die.
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Designer Paper Layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
Circle: 2 1/2"
I cut my gumball machine in a color to match the card base. The gumballs are in coordinating colors.
Then for my sentiment, I computer generated this one. "Life is like bubblegum, Sweet at times, Sticky at others, and Best when shared". I used Andy font in 14 points and printed it out on the cardstock (pretty peacock- Stampin'- Up) that matched the designer paper.
Now that my card elements are prepared, I started card assembly. The designer paper layer is attached to the card base with dimensional adhesive.
The Gumball machine is attached to the circle layer with dimensional adhesive. I also used dimensional adhesive on the circle layer and laid it back in the die cut opening. To finish off my card front, I cut the sentiment into strips and attached to the designer paper layer.
I also stamped my Father's Day sentiment on the card inside. I added a few of the leftover gumballs just for added interest.
That's my card for this week. I hope I have given you an idea for a way to use the new Candy & Gumballs die. See you next Saturday!

Guest Designer Intro
Hello Scrapping Cottage Fans. Today I have the pleasure of announcing a new addition to the CottageCutz YouTube Team.
I’m Linh – or LV Handcrafted on social media. I live in Seattle, WA (the rain doesn’t bother me one-bit 😊) with my husband and our two dogs. I’ve been crafting since I was in high school but took a long break as I started my career. Now (many many years later) I am my own boss working as a business consultant, so I can balance my time and do more of what I love – papercrafting!
I’m honored and excited to join such a talented team of crafters and the CottageCutz community. There’s always so much to learn in papercrafting, and I find great joy in adding my own twist and sharing what I've learned.

I love to share my makes as a way of giving back to our amazing crafty community. I mainly create process videos on my YouTube channel so you can see exactly how I create my projects. I dabble in a bit of everything - card making, mini albums, journals – and I love all things die-cutting - paper piecing, paper dolling, etc.
I’m looking forward to designing for CottageCutz and to interacting with you on all the socials!

Today, I am using the Ice Cream Sundae die. I used it as a birthday cupcake instead of ice cream. Just and example of how you can use these dies in so many different ways!! Be creative!!
Design Steps:
2. Glue the green polka dot DP to the bottom of the dark red card stock. Glue the strawberry DP to the top of the dark red card stock. Add the lace border between the two pieces of DP as shown above
3. Use the Scalloped Circle die second from the largest and cut out a white circle. Use the Ice Cream Sundae die and cut out the pieces using pink, white, dark red, and green polka dot DP. Shade the pieces with a number of different ink colors and assemble with a fine tip glue

Sweet Treat Release Soda Fountain Sundae Die
Hello Scrapping Cottage friends!
Sweet Treats Release
Melinda here with you on this Terrific Tuesdie! Today I am sharing a project featuring dies from the SUPER SWEET New Sweet Treats Release! Talk about sweet! This set is over the top adorable! Here is what I created.
This adorable Double Fountain Sundae card.
I started by cutting out all my pieces in white cardstock. I used my chalks to dust some blue chalk along the edges of the fountain cup.
I colored in the heart with my pink marker and then applied it.
Here's a photo that shows the difference when you add some of that shimmery chalk over the top of the colored piece. The shimmery one is the one on the right. I love adding my shimmery chalk to pieces like this It gives it some extra sparkle without any mess.
Here's a closer look at the finished sundaes. I added some stickles to the white decorative swirl pieces. They are just so cute. I added a dew drop to the center of each heart and some more stickles to the top pink ice cream scoop. I layered both onto a double stitched oval die.
I added all that onto an A4 top folding card base.
Here's a closer look at the ribbon bow I added to the top. I don't have a sentiment on this one yet. Not sure if it will be a birthday card or something else.
Here is one last look at this adorable die!
ACT FAST!!! This new release is available for a whopping 50% off if you buy the entire SWWEEETTTT collection!
