Glittered Bird Cage

Happy Monday it's Carol here with a project to share.   It's a pleasure to show you this creations today. These dies are just so much fun to create with.  The birdcage die has so much wonderful detail from an open door to two little birds.   It's so sweet and I just had to glitter it up for this card!
The flowers are also another Cottage Cutz Die called Button Flower Mini.  I just love them.  I had fun creating some dimension in these flowers by using the McGill Paper Blossoms Kit.  Just die cut the flower, turn it upside down and fun the tool over the petals, turn back to the front and use the tool in a circular motion in the middle and layer twice.  I accented the centers with some pearls.
Spellbinders Square Fleur De Lis die along with Spellbinders Labels One created the frame.  Martha Stewart Loopy Punch Around the page, Fleur De Lis Accents, and the Rosebud Cuttlebug folder complete the additional embellishments.
This easel card also includes Fancy Tags Two and the Sentiment was from the dollar bin at Michaels.
For leaves I used the Greenery Die.  The leaves were cut on white cardstock and then glittered with some Martha Stewart Crystal Course Glitter.  For the flowers I used a coarse glitter called Diamond Dust,
Thank you for visiting today.  I really do appreciate it.  Hope you have a great week!

Welcome Baby

Hello friends!  Janice here to show you a card I made with the CottageCutz Rocking Horse, from the recent baby release.  I LOVE this entire collection!  So CUTE!  I used the rocking horse with October Afternoon, Cakewalk papers to create a Welcome Baby card.  I could see this die being used for Christmas cards as well, by adding some pine boughs with pine cones.  I wanted to have one already made to show you the variation but didn't have enough time.  Maybe next time I will show you a Christmas one.  So here is my card for today.

I also used the Stork Banner and the Baby Buttons Mini.  After the pieces were assembled, I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink.  Everything was pop dotted and some Hug Snug seam binding was used to tie the bow.  Next is a picture of 3 assembled rocking horses.  One of them was made with the left over pieces from this card.

This rocking horse would look wonderful on  a baby layout or as a Christmas ornament.  How might you be inspired to use the rocking horse?  Have a great day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

CottageCutz Flowers To Brighten Your Day

Good morning!  It's Lorie here today to share a card filled with bright and beautiful flowers all made with wonderful CottageCutz dies.  Making gorgeous cards and scrapbook pages is so easy with these beautiful dies and they turn out perfectly every time!!
I thought this pretty paper from Bo Bunny was a good match to the leaves on this Tropical Trio Flower CottageCutz Die, and the Lace Flower Doily die made a great backdrop for the bright and beautiful cluster of flowers.  I simply chose colors from the polka dots in the paper to make everything coordinate

Here's a closer look at the gorgeous detail from the flowers.  I added some tiny pink rhinestones for just a touch of bling.  Below you'll find photos and links to the dies I used to create this card.

Wishing you a bright and beautiful day and a weekend filled with wonderful things!  Happy Friday and happy crafting!

CottageCutz Tropical Trio Flowers

Hi everyone!  Today it's Carol here with a creation made with the Tropical Trio Flowers.  This is what I would call a CAS card for me.  This is about as CAS as I can get.  This card took me maybe and hour and a half.  Maybe a smidge longer as my table is a mess and I couldn't find stuff!!!!
Don't you just love the tropical flowers?   I embossed the panels with a Sizzix folder.  The punched border is a Martha Stewart Punch.   This card measure 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.  The panels are Designer paper cut at 1-1/4" wide starting at 5-1/4" in length and graduating down 1/2" each panel.  The white embossed pieces are 1" wide starting at 4-3/4" in length and graduating down 1/2" each panel.
Here is the Tropical Trio Flower die that I used for this card.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for our Cottage Cutz Blog Hop and your chance to win a fabulous prize.

Springtime Window Die

Good Morning!  I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  It is raining here today in Massachusetts.  I sure hope the rains have stopped in Florida.  My heart goes out to those who are suffering.  Praying for brighter, calmer days.

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you along with a mini picture tutorial.

I have really been enjoying the look of all white, or almost all white cards.  Awhile back I said I wanted to use the CottageCutz Springtime Window die to make an all white card, so here is what I came up with.

First cut the window from white cardstock.  Glue the curtains to the window frame.  Place the window onto the card where you would like it to be.  Do not glue it down at this point.  Trace the inside of the window and cut out using an exacto knife or detail scissors.  You will want to cut on the outside of the pencil line, so when you glue the window in place the kraft cardstock does not show along the window edge.
I glued the window frame in place and then realized I missed a step.  I forgot the white background, so I just completed the card without it.  I think it looks nice either way.  I like it when mistakes have pleasant results.  You may choose to leave the window open or place some patterned paper behind it.  I chose to use the paper.  I hope you like the project I shared with you today.  If you have any questions, please ask in the comments.  Enjoy your day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

CottageCutz Floral Wreath Thank You

Good morning!   It's Lorie here today to share something crafty with you, and I've created a sweet little thank you card with my new Cottage Cutz dies.  Boy do I LOVE these designs from the Spring Blossoms Release!  They are so pretty!!!  Here's my card...
One thing I love about using Cottage Cutz dies is that I can use up a lot of my small pieces of scrap paper for designs like this one, and that's exactly what I did.  All of the card stock was from my scrap bin.  I did a little flourish stamping behind the wreath for some added interest.  I followed through with pearl accents on the flourish, as well as the flower centers.  This turned out so sweet and pretty and I hope you like it as much as I do.  Below, is a picture of the Spring Vine Wreath CottageCutz die that I used, and if you just click on the picture, it will take you directly to The Scrapping Cottage Store to check it out.  It's a dandy!!!

Our amazing design team keeps the inspiration flowing here on The Scrapping Cottage Blog, and we certainly appreciate you spending some time with us, your feedback and your kind comments.  Have a blessed day, and happy crafting, friends!!!
