Hello Spring

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing this card for my design team post.  This card is perfect for welcoming the Spring season which is right around the corner.

My card was inspired by all of the colors in the plaid card base.  I inked up a die cut from the Stitched Square Set and splattered it with some water for a softer appearance.

The die cuts are from the Hello Spring Bloom and Springtime Pals die sets.  I opted to leave the handle off of the pail so that it would look like a flower pot.  An extra fence panel was cut so that the fence would stretch across the square panel.  All of the die cuts were shaded with some Oxide Inks.

The square was centered on the card base with the fence layered inside.  The flower pot was adhered on top of the fence.

I continued to build the Spring theme by adding the tiny bird next to the flower pot. The snail was added to the top of the fence.

The "Hello Spring" sentiment was adhered on top of the square panel giving the card a whimsical appearance.

Duckling with Kite

Hi, Janja here with you. For my post today I have a card with a lovely duck that could be used for many occasions, including Easter holidays.

- CottageCutz dies: Duckling with Kite, Spring Buddies (flowers), Stitched Square Set, Stitched Wide Square Frame Set
- blank card: 5 5/16 x 5 5/16" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 5 x 5" (12,7 x 12,7 cm)
- colored cardstock
- colored ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

First I cut a duck and flowers out of colored cardstock. For extra shading I used colored ink pads.

I cut the paper with tiny flowers to the desired size. I then cut out a white frame and a square of patterned paper. I used the largest die from both sets.

Completed card.

Easter Egg Hunt

Hi!

It's Anja here. Hope you're all doing well. I have a simple card for you today, combining two new dies in a lovely Easter scene.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Easter Egg Hunt, Hide & Seek Bunny, Happy Easter Greeting),
- Distress Inks,
- craft card base (15x15 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- bristol paper for background (12,5x12,5 cm),
- green card stock for background (13x13 cm),
- brush,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the bunny and the sign.

Next I did the same with the sentiment.

Then I cut the paper for the background and colored it.

Then I cut another piece of paper for the background. This time I used green cardstock.

When I had all the pieces I assembled the card together.

Basket Of Eggs

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday day edition of the Blog.

Today, I am featuring the new Basket of Eggs die to create an Easter card. So let's get started on some details of how I created my card. 

Design Steps:

I started my card this week with the card colors. Jeanne was hosting a color challenge on Splitcoaststampers, and her choices of daffodil delight (yellow), calypso coral and seaside spray (light blue) worked well for an Easter card. 

She also had an optional to use Washi Tape on our card. I just happen to have some wide washi tape in these colors, and I used it for my card background. This tape is 2 3/8" wide so it gives nice background coverage.  

I cut the basket of eggs in the challenge colors and used some designer paper cut with the 4th largest Stitched Circle die as the backdrop. 

I decided to stamp some splatters down the right side of my card in the coral color and added yellow ribbon to the left side for added interest. The Easter phrase is from the Bunny Kisses  & Easter Wishes die. I cut it 3x for more depth in coral cardstock.

To complete the card, I scattered a few coral enamel dots. Well, that's it for me for this week. I hope I have given you a new idea for using this lovely Easter die. See you next Saturday!

dies I used to create card:

May All Your Chocolate Bunnies be Solid

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today with a quick and easy Easter card for you.  This one uses the Bunny Backsides dies to make chocolate bunnies - the star of the show in many Easter baskets!

To start, I cut the bunnies from Chocolate Chip cardstock.

I then cut a panel from patterned paper 5.5 x 4.25 inches, a strip of green cardstock 5.5 x 2.5 inches, and a strip of white cardstock 5.5 x 2.25 inches.

To place my sentiment, I placed the bunnies and adjusted where I wanted the sentiment to go.

After stamping the sentiment, I glued the two strips together, added a narrow ribbon...

and attached it to the patterned panel.

When gluing down the three bunnies, I started with the middle one.  When placing groups of three, if you start with the middle one it is much easier to place the other two.  If you happen to be a bit off you can adjust, but if you start at one end it is more difficult to adjust placement if you happen to miss a little.

These chocolate bunnies are just the sweetest and this card is super simple to make!  I hope you will check out the new Spring dies on the website - there is something for everyone!
