Fun for FALL

Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday to all!
Cheryl here with an extra post to share with you all. My card for today was designed for Splitcoaststampers TLC challenge to use watercolor or any medium to color your diecuts with.

For my card I chose to use some older CottageCutz dies to create a FALL themed card. I love fall too, and just had to make something fun for fall...hehehe So I used the CottageCutz Mini HedgeHog, Filigree Leaf Pumpkin, and Mini Leafs all from the Scrapping Cottage.

While in California for a week, I came upon these paints and thought they would be perfect for paper crafting. So I used them and some water to color my CottageCutz leaves. I did mix them to give them a different look than just coloring one color. Love the look. Paints used- Lumiere Citrene , NE OPAQUE Yellow , and Red

Also used some design paper that I bought at the warehouse sale this past summer. I got these packs of 25 sheets each for 1.20 each pack of design paper. Mind you they are all the same pattern, but what an awesome price so I bought tons of packs, and these were among those packs.

Ribbon is gingham, and the buttons are vintage and came from an estate along with the paints. I have listed the CottageCutz dies used below, and linked them to the store for easy finding.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
hugs to all,

CottageCutz Haunted Mill

Welcome friends and crafters to a CottageCutz Halloween creation.  It's Carol here today.   Here is another Spooktacular die.  This one is called CottageCutz Haunted Mill.  Doesn't it look fabulous on this background.  It almost appears to be lit up!  To create the background cut a circle for your mask to create the moon.  Tape it with removable tape and use your distress inks to color the background.  Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Black Soot was used here.  The frames were cut on the Cricut from the Happy Hauntings Cartridge.  The bottom frame was distressed with Peeled Paint and stickles were applied for the glittery effect.  The CottageCutz Halloween Tag Topper was cut on black cardstock and mounted on green designer paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to view this project.  It sure is appreciated.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.  Here are the dies used:

Stacked Snowmen

Hi all! Vladka is here today!

New Christmas SC dies are irresistible, I love them. It is such fun to play with them. This time I took 2 new dies: Stacked Snowmen and Snow. This Snowmen are super adorable.
All I needed was something for my background. So, I grab my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, put it some on my craft sheet and added some water. Here you have two possibilities: to press watercolor paper into the wet ink or to use sheet of plastic acetate, gentle press it into the wet ink and carried it to water color paper. I hope this make sense :) This is how I did it, because this way I have more control by color transmission!
Some parts of snowmen were colored with copics and then I also took Snow expression and cut out the snowman from it and replaced it with three cut snowmen. You just need to cut out the snow hill and glue everything together and card is finished.
Have fun!

Card Supplies I used:
CottageCutz dies: Stacked Snowmen and Snow
Card stock: watercolor and white
Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass
Other: scissors, paper trimmer, scor-buddy, glue tape, plastic acetate, craft sheet

CottageCutz Spooky Ghost House Halloween Card

Greetings everyone it's Carol.  Today's creation features beautiful Halloween CottageCutz dies in an exciting array of shapes.  The main focal point of the card is CottageCutz Spooky Ghost House.  Isn't this fabulous.  Just cut out your die on black card stock and mount it on a piece of orange cardstock that is 1/4" larger than the die to make it pop!
For the CottageCuz Halloween Tag the die was cut on orange glitter paper.  After die cutting, just take the die and trace around the outside on black paper and cut with scissors.  Mount the orange glitter die cut on top and you have this awesome contrast.
The green scarecrow is the CottageCutz Harvest Scarecrow.  The Gold with Brush Corduroy distress inked scarecrow is CottageCutz Garden Scarecrow.   The top border is CottageCutz Graveyard Border.
Thank you for checking out this Spooktacular Halloween card today.  Sure do appreciate.  Be sure to check out the latest CottageCutz Halloween Release for all you Halloween Papercrafting needs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  These are the CottageCutz dies used:

Get your Witchi on

Hi all! Vladka here today!

Fall is here and also Halloween will be here soon. You can find a lot of inspiration here on CottageCutz blog and I have one for you today too.
I used this Witch on Broom. She is on her way to cool witch party. I made this background with watercolor paper and different Distress Inks. I started with Peacock Feather, put it on my craft sheet, added some water and put paper on, to get some splodges. then I dried it with heat gun and used another Distress Ink, this time Chipped Sapphire and repeat the whole step. The last Distress Ink which I used was Black Soot. After everything was dry I used also white tempera and brush to made some paint splatters which look like stars
The moon is made the same way as background, but this time I used just Weathered Wood Distress Ink and after that cut the moon out with circle die. The Witch is cut out of black cardstock and sentiment was created in Word and printed on paus paper. Yellow stars and clouds are cut out with Baby Sleeping on Moon die. This is my card for today. Have fun.
And be sure to leave a comment on all of our post from 9/8/15- 9/23/15 on the CottageCutz BLOG as we are doing a GIVEAWAY to 1 lucky person! You can WIN 2 of the NEW Halloween dies. Here you can find more.
