Cute Bunny Peeker Bookmarks

Happy Friday Cottagecutz fans. I hope you’ve had a lovely week and are looking forward to the weekend. I shall be trying to fit in as much crafting as possible this weekend as I have a knee op on Monday
(deep joy!)

Anyway, back to the project in hand,

I really wanted to use some of the longer nested shapes and then I thought, bookmarks! I used the 7” ‘Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline’ and cut it out in 3 colours twice. I wanted to the bookmark have some heft so it lasted well so I stuck them together

Next I printed out my nieces names and popped their names on white card. Once printed I cut them using the 6 and 1/4” ‘Nested stitched Rectangles’ and then glued them onto the main tag

Next I cut from the ‘Miss Spring Bunny’ die, 3 heads and 3 sets of arms to be used shortly. I used a matching bow in the bunnies ear too

I wanted a focal point to the bookmark and something that the page of your book could link onto. So I cut out the 2nd largest ‘Nested Stitched Scalloped Circles’ twice in each of the main colours. In one of the scalloped circles I cut out the middle so that it will look like the bunny was peeking over the circle. I also cut out 3 white nested circles

I stuck the white circle to the scalloped circle and then the rim on top of that

So the bunny was attached to the scalloped circle then attached to the end of the main bookmark. Make sure you use 3D foam pads so you have that give for the bunny to sit on the page you mark in your book

I added the little chick to each die and also a diamanté to finish on the bow

I really hope that you like the project for today and have inspired you to make little gifts for Easter.
Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you next week
Hugs
Wendy

Easter Village

Good morming Cottagecutz fans I hope your week is going well so far. It's Wendy bringing you the blog today.

So the card I'm posting today includes a light tutorial as my Friday posts are full tutotrials

So to begin with I took a white slimline card and used the 'Clouds Slimline' as a stencil. So you cut the die in white card and you can use this to ink onto your card. I start part way down the card and then move up the card. As the die is so long you really change the way the clouds sit on your card.

I then cut the 'Grass Slimline' twice. I mae sure that there were 2 different layers to make it look more realistic. I stuck the first piece down with glue and the second layer with 1mm 3D foam pads.

Next I cut out the three houses. the 'Carrot House' the 'Hello Spring Bunny Cottage' and finally the 'Spring Gnome Cottage. I assembled all elements from the dies. The dies as I have mentioned before are so intuitive it makes it easy to put together your houses. I made sure that I gave the houses some 3D elements by using 1mm foam pads on the windows, doors, and of course that cute little grey bunny in the 'Hello Spring bunny' house. Once assembled I added them to the card with 3D foam pads.

I took some elements to finish off the card as follows:
- Tulips from 'Spring sheep die'
- Chick from 'Miss Spring Bunny die'
- Sign from 'Spring Chicken die' - I stamped a sentiment on this
- Sun from 'Campin Out Sun and Moon'

I do hope you like the card. This took me less than an hour to pull together so I hope you will give it a try. Remeber to add some 3D elements such as small flat back pearls for eyes, noses and flowers. It just makes the card extra special. i wish you a wonderful week and I will see you Friday with another Easter inspired card.

Valentine Bunny

 Hi Friends,

We have a new Spring release with 20 sweet designs.  The bundle for the entire release is at 60% off right now.  And individual dies are at 25% off.  Just check it out HERE.

I am using the Miss Spring Bunny today.  And to show you how versatile these dies are I am using it as a Valentine.

Design Steps:
1.  The supplies for the base: A2 black card base,  red glitter card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, Checked DP 3 5/8 x 4 7/8,  pocket 2 1/2 x 3 5/8 embossed with little hearts
2.  Glue the red glitter paper to the black card base, glue the checked DP to the red glitter card stock, and finally add the pocket only putting glue on the sides and bottom so it will open on the top
3.  Add the white and red trim to the bottom of the pocket as shown above
4.  Using the Miss Spring Bunny cut out the pieces in red, light grey, dark grey, pink and black
5.  Assemble the bunny with a fine tip, fast drying glue.  Add the little white dots on the eyes with a gel pen
6.  Cut out the pieces for the tag black is 2 3/4 x 4 and the DP is 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  Glue the pieces together and punch a hole in the top.  Add the black tule and tie a knot.  Using the Stitched Heart die set the smallest one cut a little heart out of glitter card stock.  Place the heart into the bunny's hands as shown below.  Stamp your sentiment and layer onto some red glitter card stock and your card is complete

All aboard the Easter Express

Good morning Cottagecutz fans. It’s Wendy brining you the blog today. I hope your week is going well so far. We still have the new spring dies on offer at 60% off the entire bundle and you can find them here

The card I’ve made for today was such fun to make. The dies are absolutely stunning and I just had to use them.

To begin with I took a slimline card and used the ‘clouds slimline’ die as a template to create the sky on the card. You cut out a small line of clouds and then use a distress ink over the stencil with a soft brush or whatever you feel comfortable with. Start part way down the card and then layer up from there. I think I used 3 layers of clouds in total.

Next I took the ‘Grass slimline dies and cut 2 pieces. The first piece I glued down but the second piece I attached to the card with 1mm 3D foam pads for some dimension,

I then cut a very fine sliver of brown card so that the trains look like they are on a track. I just glued this straight to the card.

So to create the train I cut out the ‘Bunny Express Engine’ and the Bunny Express Carrot Cars’ I tried to stick to the colours on the die packet ad the are beautifully coloured. Once assembled, I stuck them to the card with 1mm foam pads. The dies are really intuitive so its really easy to pick out the parts you need to cut

I used the little chick die from ‘Miss Spring Bunny’ as he is super cute and he sits at the back of the train. I also used the trees from the Campin out release and dotted these around the card after the train was assembled.

I loved the sign I used on a card last week that said ‘Easter Blessing’ so I used it again on this card.

I really hope that you like the card and take the plunge to make a super sweet card this Easter

Hugs
Wendy

Easter Blessings

Good morning Cottagcutz fans. It's Wendy bringing you the blog today.I do hope you've had a wonderful week. It's pretty cold out now so I say lets stay in and craft this weekend

Today I'm bringing you a card using the newly release spring dies. They are adorable and they are still on offer at 60% off the entire release. You can find them here

So today's card is pretty quick and easy so I will be giving you a light touch tutorial

To begin with, i used the 'Clouds Slimline' to create a stencil. I used some distress ink (Tumbled Glass) and a brush to rub over the stencil to get the cloud effect. Remember, start part way down your card and then gradually move up the card

Next I cut out the grass slimline dies twice. The first layer was attached with glue but the second was attach with 1mm 3d foam pads.

The first element on my card was the cutest die I have ever seen, 'Miss Spring bunny'. The die is so intuitive and is she easy to put together. Once assembled I added her to the card with 1mm 3D foam pads

Next I cut out element from the 'Spring chicken' die. I used the wooden log and the sign. I found a stamp in my statsh that fitted the sign perfectly. I cut out the vine, flowers and ladybug and attached these to my card

The final elements were the Sun and Tree from the 'Campin Out' range that I will list below for you.

I really hope you enjoyed the card and that i have given you some inspiration for your weekend crafting

Hugs
Wendy
