O Snap Card

Hello Cottage Cutz friends,
Melinda here with you today. I am sharing a fun and quick card for that time when you "forget" someone's birthday or "special" day.

Here is what I created. It is a horizontal A2 card base from white cardstock. I then used a green cardstock for the base mat. I used some cute patterned papers from Doodlebug and matted them with a black cardstock mat as well as a double stitched rectangle mat. I also used the double stitched oval die for the base of the title and to put on the camera. I used the sweet little Elephant die and one of the birthday hats. I also used the cute Celebrate Banner. I colored in all those sweet little heart and stars. I then used the cute little camera and then used the Lemonade Stand title for the sentiment.

Here is a closer look at the banner. I cut it out in white and then colored in the various stars and hearts with my markers. This sweet banner is from the Celebrate Banner die.

Here is a closer look at the Camera. I also put on the title O Snap I created. I adhered all of that to one of the Double-Stitched Oval Dies. I cut it out in white cardstock so the camera and title would really pop.
I used the O from the lemonade title. I then used the title stand and created the word snap by cutting out the "t" and flipping the "d". I also moved the n in front of the a. This is from the Lemonade Phrases die set.

Here is a closer look at the sweet little elephant from the Festive Elephant Die set. I colored him with my gray markers and some chalks. I used one of the birthday hats from the Party Hats die to dress him up. I used some stickles for some extra touches.

Here is one last look at my finished card. I think it turned out super cute!

A Sweet Thank You

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Sunday edition of the Blog.

We have a brand-new release of dies in the online store. It's our Flowers & More release. The individual dies are currently on sale for 30% off. This release has what we are calling "simple cuts". Meaning not as many pieces to put together so they assemble quickly.

They are so perfect for the many card making occasions that we all have. Birthdays, Thank You, Sympathy, Mother's Day or even a scrapbook layout just to name a few. For your viewing pleasure today I am featuring the Lemonade Stand and Celebrate Banner dies.

I was in need of a thank you card to send to a friend who invited us to visit with them at their Florida home for a week. It was such a wonderful time and a handmade thank you card was in order.

I recently found out she saves all the cards I send her. That's so heartwarming for a card maker to hear. So, let's get started on some details of how I made my card.

 Design Steps:
I started my card by stenciling clouds on white cardstock with tumbled glass, broken china, spun sugar and mowed lawn distress inks.
Image Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Next, I cut the lemonade stand and the celebrate banner from different colored cardstock. You could cut in white cardstock and then use your favorite coloring medium to color the images. Our team does a variety of ways. I usually use cardstock.
My card elements are prepared and ready for card assembly. I attached the lemonade stand with double sided tape. I decided to use the Arch Sun die and attached it to the side of the lemonade stad for added interest.

Before I added the celebrate banner, I stamped my sentiment in a bright pink ink. I used my MISTI for placement, and this also needed a double inking. The MISTI is so perfect for this feature alone.
Added my celebrate banner with clear drying glue.
To finish off my card, I attached the image panel to a white card base with double sided tape. I kept the base the same size as the image panel.
White Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

That's my card for this week. I hope I have given you an idea for a way to use the lemonade stand die. See you next Saturday!

Sweet I Love You Card

Happy Valentine's TuesDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you, on this day to express....our love!   So I thought that was the perfect sentiment for my card today! I am sharing a sweet and pretty card I created with dies from the amazing new Flowers & More release from Cottage Cutz!

This release is amazing and a true MUST HAVE for your creative collection! All the dies in this collection are a wonderful addition and will fast be staples in your creative stash!
Here are my projects for today.

I created this simple yet pretty card featuring the Little Flowers and the Celebrate Banner dies from the new release! My card is a Horizontal top fold card. It is 4.25 x 5.5 with the fold along the 5.5 side and in landscape position.

I added a yellow cardstock mat sized at 4 x 5.25 and also a patterned paper mat sized at 2.5 x 5.25
I then cut out the Largest double-stitched circle, the three smallest stitched hearts in that set and the second smallest pierced circle die from that set.
I then used my various colored markers and colored in the two larger hearts and the pierced circle. I didn't have the right colored patterned paper, so this was a great alternative. I just tried to stay to the inside of the pierced or dashed lines. Here is an example of the larger heart.

I then cut out the celebrate banner in white and colored in the various little hearts and stars. I added dots of stickle to various ones for a little extra touch.
Here's a closer look at the assembled piece. I added the sweet little flowers to the center of the pierced circle. I cut them out of white cardstock and then colored them in as well. I added some sequins and scattered them for an extra touch. I then added the sentiment, I Love You and curved the words around the circle.

Here is one last look at my finished card. I think it turned out super cute!
