Pop Up Work Bench - Father's Day Card

Happy Friday friends!

Kris here with an easy-to-make Pop Up Work Bench card for Father's Day!

I am Guest Designing for the Color Challenge at SplitcoastStampers
and this week's color combo CC998 is
Boho Blue
Calypso Coral
Pecan Pie

PRODUCTS I USED:

OTHER PRODUCTS & SUPPLIES:
SU! Trusty Tools paper (Grid paper)
La-La Land Crafts Wood Planks Background Stamp (retired) *Optional
Piercing Tool and mat
Black enamel dots
Foam dots
Glue

CUTTING & SCORING:

White Cardstock
4" x 2-1/2" ( you can use polka dot paper that looks like peg board for this piece)
5-1/4" x 4"

Boho Blue Cardstock
11" x 4-1/4" - score at 5-1/4"

Pecan Pie Cardstock (OR wood patterned paper)
7-1/4" x 4" - score at 1/2", 2-1/2", 5-1/4"

1.  I die cut the tools from brushed silver cardstock, as well as coral, blue and white.  I colored the measuring tape strip yellow and the paintbrush bristles tan.  I left the paint can label white.  Then I glued some of the coral and blue handles to the silver parts.

2.  I die cut Happy Father's Day from coral and blue.  I then cut the "Father's" from the blue and glued on top of the coral layer.

3.  Next, I die cut the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangle from the Pecan Pie panel in the center, aligning it with the 5-1/4" score line as pictured above.

4.  From the piece that is cut out, I die cut (2) of the smallest Stitched Rectangles

5.  I stamped the wood plank bg stamp onto the Pecan Pie layer (do not need to stamp the bottom part) and the 2 small rectangles.

6.  Flip Pecan layer over and add tape or glue to the larger end (opposite the 1/2" flap) and adhere just up to the score line of blue card base as shown above.

7.  Fold the Pecan layer up as shown above and add double sided tape to the 1/2" flap.  Remove backing.  Then fold the TOP blue panel down onto the base.  When you open card it should look like the next photo.

8.  Add foam dots to the back of "drawers" and adhere to front of table as shown above.  Add enamel dots for handles.

That's it for the pop up feature!!  ☺
Now on to the decorating...

9.  For my peg board, I used an older piercing guide to poke holes into the  4" x 2-1/2" piece of white cardstock.

*You could also use some polka dot paper, or create your own polka-dots with a marker, or use a peg board die for this if you have one.

10.  I used foam dots on the back and adhered to the inside top portion of card and glued my tools onto it.

**This next part is optional, but it was bugging me to have the part under the desk the same brown color, so I decided to cover it up with a white panel.

11.  With the 4" x 5-1/4" white cardstock, measure down 1-7/8" on left and right edges and in 3/4" from each side.

12.  Cut narrow slits from the 1-7/8" mark to the 3/4" on each edge as shown above.

13.  Apply tape or glue to back of panel and carefully slide under table.

*NOTE:  I put down a waxy sheet so tape won't stick to card base before I'm ready to position it.

14.  I die cut the grid paper with the 3rd smallest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered to table top.  I added measuring tape and a silver nail to grid paper.

15.  I added tiny foam dots to the left side of paint bucket and adhered to table leg, then I glued the Happy Father's Day phrase to lower portion of base.

DONE!  ☺

With the change of sentiment, this can also be great for a birthday card, a thank you, or a card for your female tool-loving friends!

Ginger Pocket Peeker

Happy Friday Friends!

Kris here with you today, sharing a cute Christmas card featuring our Christmas Release!  All the dies in this release are 30% off for a limited time, so a great time to pick some up for those last minute holiday cards for this year OR to get a head start on next year's cards!

Today I'm showcasing the Ginger Pocket Peeker from our Christmas 2023 Release, and the fun Trellis Background Die from our Black Friday Release!

It's so easy to create fun plaid backgrounds with this Trellis background die! Marla shared in her latest video HERE how you can layer the die by cutting 2 and turning one upside down!  Easy peasy!!

CUTTING & SCORING:

Red cardstock:
A2 top folding card

Teal Green cardstock:

White cardstock:
 2nd largest Scalloped Rectangle

Teal patterned paper with white snowflakes:
3rd largest Stitched Rectangle

DESIGN STEPS:

1.  I layered the white Trellis onto the Green so that they are opposite (one upside down), glued them together and then onto my card front.  **Thanks again for that awesome tip Marla ☺

2.  I glued my patterned paper onto my white scalloped layer, then added foam tape to the back to pop it up a bit to center of my card.

3.  Next, I stamped a denim background stamp onto my top and bottom layers of my pocket and glued them on.

4.  I colored my die cuts and assembled.

5.  I added all my elements to the front with 2x the foam tape.  I then added some Snow Writer to the Hat trim and puff for lots of dimension.  I finished it off with a tiny snowflake in the middle of my peppermint and 4 green gems in the corners.

Such a cute and quick card to make!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial ☺
 Thanks for visiting!

Strawberries in Tub

Welcome CottageCutz friends!

Kris here with a sweet card that is very easy to recreate using our Black Friday Release.  The individual dies are 30% off!!

Dies I used:

Design Steps:

I die cut and colored my elements as shown above. I added some gold accents to the seeds on my strawberries.

My card base is cut from Pretty Peacock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  I then glued my Trellis background onto card front.

I die cut the largest Scalloped Oval from Poppy Parade and from vellum.  I then die cut the largest Stitched Oval inside of the red oval to make a frame and glued it on top of the vellum oval, then onto card front, as shown.

I added my strawberries in the tub to the middle of my oval with foam dots, then added the "thank you" sentiment to tub.

For the inside, I die cut the largest Stitched Rectangle from white and the large strawberry from the Sentiment, Thank You Berry Much die.

I taped the white panel to the inside center and offset the strawberry as shown.

Here's the front again.
