Poppin Up!

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today with an all-occasion card.  This die set just said "FUN!" to me and when I saw this stamp set in my stash I immediately knew what I wanted to do!
I started by cutting the pieces from the Spring Potted Bunnies and Spring Teacup Bouquet in white card stock.  I used a blending tool and Distress Oxide inks to color them.
For the green of the stems I did use a regular dye ink in Garden Green.  I assembled my flower pots using a silicone mat.  I often to this when gluing pieces since I can  let them dry and not worry about them sticking to my table or paper.
For the background I used two stencils.  One is a dot stencil and the other I created using a circle die.  I used the Stitched Circles, but any of the plain circle dies will work.  This allows me to stencil just a portion of the background.  I make sure to use Washi tape to secure everything to my mat so the stencils and background panel don't move.
I then stamped my sentiment, arranged my background pots and added some Washi tape to the side.
I decided to include a few upset flowers from the pot that the bunny decided to invade!
The bunny in his pot is popped up using foam dots and I added a few glitter enamel dots to the flower centers.

DT Samples w/Spring & Fantasy Dies (Day 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling cards from our Spring and also our new Magical Fantasy release.
There are 27 new designs in the Magical Fantasy release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off. We want to give your some ideas for your own card making. So let's get started with our samples for today.

Card 1: This is a card that I (Mary Marsh) created using the beautiful new Unicorn Floral die. I thought this would make a great feminine graduation card since the grad will be going on a new life adventure. To create the circular wreath look I used one of our circle dies and drew a pencil line. Then I started building my wreath starting with the unicorn and worked my way around. The coloring on our packaging is so beautiful that I used similar colors. A simple change of sentiment and this could be a birthday, anniversary or even a get well card.

Card 2:  Our next sample is from Anja Zurga. She also created a floral card using the Spring Teacup Bouquet. How perfect would this be for Mother's Day. What Mom doesn't like to get flowers? Or do you have a friend who loves to garden and has flower beds that are the envy of the neighborhood? Make her a card like this to let her know you are thinking of her. So many occasions and possibilities with this die.
Card 3: Our next sample is from Pam MacKay. She used the Sweet Unicorns die to create a beautiful and whimsical birthday card. Since Unicorns are adorable and very magical, the special little one in your life will love it. The background was created with distress oxide inks and the use of shimmer paper on the unicorn manes added just the right touch of sparkle.  The sentiment carries through the magical appeal of her card.
Card 4:  Our last sample for today is from Janja Albreht. She used the Peeking Egg Bunny and Spring Potted Bunnies dies to create this super cute and colorful Easter card. Don't you just love these precious little bunnies and look at that little bunny behind. The eye catching  Easter Phrase is using an older die -Retro Alphabet.
Well that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas for creative ways to use the new dies over the past 4 days. If you haven't seen the other cards check here, here and here. Happy Easter everyone!

Bunny Medallion

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne posting today with an Easter card for you.  This card is easy to create and is perfect for a last minute card.  I love this little bunny die - it reminds me of the adorable cottontails that are in my yard right now! (And eating my grass I might add. LOL)
It also uses a technique that I like which gives subtle color and added dimension - stacking dies cuts.
I started by cutting three ovals in purple and one in white from the fourth largest oval in the Stitched Ovals set.  I then stacked and glued them together with the white on top.
Next I cut three of the Spring Egg Scene in white and the Blessings Phrase from lavender glitter paper.  I used a self adhesive backing sheet on the phrase.
I stacked and glued the scene pieces together then glued that to my stacked oval forming a medallion.
On an A2 white card base I used a splatter stamp and purple ink to create some background interest behind where the medallion will go.  (You could also just splatter on some ink with a paint brush if you felt so inclined!)  I thought it still needed  little something, so I cut white foliage using the Spring Teacup Bouquet set.  I also added some fine silver thread.
Finally I added the Blessing Phrase and a few sequins.

Birthday Wishes Card

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing this sweet birthday card for my guest designer post.  With it being the first day of Spring today, the floral design is perfect to share.  This die is so versatile and can be used for many occasions.
I used the Spring Teacup Bouquet for the focal point of my card.  Once I die cut all of the pieces out of white card stock, I watercolored everything with some Distress Inks. I went with a non-traditional color theme for my flowers.  I used some kraft card stock for the cup.
The background was kept simple with some kraft and watercolor card stock.  The frame was cut from the Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame Set
The flower clusters were assembled inside of the frame and adhered to the base of my card.  The arrangement of flowers was spread out to fill up the inside of my frame.
As a finishing accent, I added a sentiment from the My Craft Spot (retired) Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. The sentiment was attached to the cup handle with a jute bow.
I used these dies on my card, available here:

Springtime Bouquet

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today with a pretty card today that could be used for a number of occasions.  I stamped a generic "for you" on it but think birthday, Mother's Day, thank you, etc.
What made this card fun to make is that it was just like arranging real flowers!
I ran the Spring Teacup Bouquet die through the Big Shot twice using white card stock.  This gave me two of every flower.
Next I colored them using Distress Oxide inks.
Think of all the color combinations you could get with this bouquet!
To get my scalloped strip, I used the third largest Nested Scalloped Square die and trimmed off the top and side, then cut the strip 1 1/2 inches wide.  I saved the other piece to use on another card.  I glued my strip to a white panel 4 x 5 1/4 inches.
I loaded this into my Misti and laid the teacup where I wanted it so I could position my sentiment.  I did not glue it to the card but now I knew where it would go on the card and I stamped the sentiment.
I glued one flower and leaf overhanging the teacup....
and used foam dots around the lower part of the back of the cup.  This gave me an easy way to insert the flowers "into" the cup.
By popping up the cup and leaving the top open I could arrange the flowers!  I used foam tape on the back of the panel to adhere it to a side fold A2 card base.
I love this die.  There are so many flowers that the variations are endless.  The dimension on this bouquet makes it truly special!
