Happy Wedding

Today I share with you a wedding card, created with the new Wedding CottageCutz dies.
Usually my cards are in vibrant colors, but this time I decided for natural colors.
Let's see how it is made.

Supplies:
- CottageCutz dies: Wedding Chapel, Wedding Convertible, Rose With Wedding Rings, Love Bow and Arrow, Nested Stitched Scallop Circle Set, Circle Set, Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Set, Mail Tag Set
- white card base: 4.1 x 5.4" (9,5 x 12,7 cm), folded
- white cardstock: 4 x 5.2" (10 x 13,2 cm)
- white and kraft cardstock
- Distress ink: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo
- ColorBox pigment frost white

Prepare all the pieces for wedding chapel and wedding convertible. Distress them with Distress inks and glue them together.

Trim white cardstock and cut out circle with the seventh die in a row from the middle of the set.
Also trim a rectangle from kraft cardstock. Create an embossed background with embossing folder.

Shadow kraft cardstock with a sponge and white pigment.

Cut out frame from kraft cardstock with dies: nested stitched circle set (4th die), and circle set (7th die).
Cut the frame and fasten it on a white cardstock.

Now cut out two strips from white and kraft cardstock as shown.

Stamp "Happy Wedding" and add two small hearts.

Completed card.

I also prepared a tag for the wedding anniversary that may be added to the gift.

I used rose with wedding rings die and the biggest die from mail tag set.

Fairy Tale Wishes

Hi!  It's Jeanne sharing my card today.  I love the Wedding Horse & Carriage and Wedding Chapel dies - they remind me of Cinderella! So I wanted to create a birthday card for a girl who loves fairy tales or could be used as a wedding card (just change the "wish" to "celebrate"!)

I cut the cardstock to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored it at the 4 1/4 mark to make a top folding A2 card.  All pieces except the word "Wish" are cut from the same vanilla cardstock.

The die cut images are colored with Copic markers.  (You'll see double in some of my pictures because I often make two of the same card at one time!) I used several shades of brown for the horse and cool greys to shade the carriage and wheels.

The chapel was colored with two shades of very light beige and warm greys for the roof. The rose was colored in the same manner using pinks and greens.

To create the horizon line in the background I cut a free form mask using scissors. Then I used a sponge to create the grass and sky.  The white panel is slightly smaller than the front of the card.

I cut another panel out of vanilla cardstock the same size as the card front.  From this I cut an oval using the largest oval die from Basics Oval Set.  I decided to emboss the front to give it some additional interest.

 I played around with the arrangement within the frame and decided to have the steeple of the chapel outside the frame.

The last things added were the word "Wish" and the rose.  I did need to trim one set of leaves off the rose to fit the space.  I also added rhinestones to the center of the wheels.

Engagement Party Invitation

It's Anja here. I finally got my hands on the new wedding and nested dies. For my first card I made a clean engagement party invitation with a matching envelope. This can easily be turned into a wedding invitation or even a wedding card.

This is what I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Set, Rose With Wedding Rings, Pair of Doves),
- Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord)
- silver VersaColor pigment ink,
- white card stock for invitation base and die cuts,
- white paper for printing,
- violet card stock,
- black pen,
- Wink of Stella glitter brush pen,
- WRMK Envelope Punch,
- paper glue,
- adhesive foam pads.

And this is how I did it.

First I die cut the base for the invitation. I used the largest die from Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Set and made it longer. I cut a rectangle from violet card stock that was a few millimeters smaller than the inside of the stitched rectangle.

This is how I prolonged the stitched rectangle. First I cut through only half of it.

Than I turned the paper around and put the die it the already cut lines. And again I only cut it to thee part that has not been already cut. You have to be careful with this so you don't cut to far because the die will leave a mark. 

 

Then I die cut all the other pieces and colored them with Distress Inks. I used Wink of Stella Marker to add a sparkle to the diamonds. 

For the envelope I used WRMK Envelope punch. It's so easy to make a matching envelope to go with your card. For my invitation I needed to cut a paper size 21x21 cm and started to score it at 7,9 cm. I also cut a smaller stitched rectangle that would fit the name and the address.

I designed the invitation text and printed it on white 220 g paper. And then I just glued all the pieces together. I glued the doves with adhesive foam pads.
