Dog Treat Jar and Card Set

Hey crafty friends,
So glad you stopped in today! It is coming down to the wire before Christmas! Today I am sharing a super cute and quick gift for my little grand dog. Here is what I made.
I made this super cute card and little treat jar with tag for Kylo, my little grand doggy. He is the sweetest little guy!

Here is a closer look at the cute little treat jar. I picked uup a jar from the dollar store and filled it wit little milk bone treats that are in red, white and green. I added this super cute little tag. It features the sweet little Christmas Reindeer Puppy die from the new Cottage Cutz Christmas Die release.

Here is a closer look at my card. It is a top folding card and I used the Doghouse w/Pup & Hydrant die as well as the Love My Dog, Love My Cat dies for the card. I also used the Wacky Stitched Rectangle set. I wrote his little nae on the cute little sign and I did the same with the word Grand.

Here is a closer look at the cute little tag. I put the little doggy onto the smaller rectangle wacky stitched dies. I cut the smaller of the two mats in patterned paper and the larger one in black cardstock.

Here is one last look at my cute little set.

Well, that about covers it for today. Be sure to keep up on all the fun and creative things the designers here are coming up with. Until the next time, have a wonderfully crafty day!

Love My Cat

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam sharing with you on the blog today!

As I was telling you a couple of Thursdays ago I have a lot of spring and summer birthdays.  My sister and I both have July birthdays.  She is such an animal lover.  She lives in a very rural area so she is constantly feeding any little critter that comes in her yard especially during the cold winter days.  She also has a way of picking up stray or ferral cats.  She has quite a family of both indoor and outdoor cats and she dearly loves them all! So the card I am making today is for her birthday.

Design Steps:
1.  Use a slimline kraft card base, use your Nested Rectangle Slimline dies to create your red layer,  then cut a piece of plaid DP  5 2/4 x 3 1/8 and a piece of cat name DP 3 1/8 x 3.  Cut out your cat using the Cat w/a Spring Bird
2.  Shade your cat using a brown ink and small applicator then assemble it with a fine tip glue.  Ink in the eyes with a Sukura Black Glaze pen and then dot it with Sukura White Gelly Roll pen
3.  Glue the two different DP to the red card stock as shown.  Add a knotted ribbon where the two DP meet and glue to the kraft card base
4.  Using your Pierced Oval 4th from the largest cut out a dark brown oval.  Glue the oval to the card as shown.  Next place pop dots to the back of the cat and pop it to the center of the oval
5.  Using the Love My Dog, Love My Cat die cut out 3 Love My in dark brown and glue them together,  cut out 3 red and dark brown hearts with paws and place pop dots on the back of them
6.  Glue the Love My to the top of the card and add the little paw hearts as shown and your card is complete

Love My Pets!

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne posting today.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!  Rather than a card today, I decided to do two framed pieces that would be perfect for the pet lover in your life.
My initial thought was do make a card, but I had the 4 x 6 frames from a package of frames I had previously purchased and this design just worked so well with them.  However, this design could easily be made into a card.

I first cut all the pieces from various colors of card stock.
For the dog, I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Real Read.
For the cat, I used Basic Black, Basic Grey and Real Red.  (Can you tell I have a brown dog and a grey cat at home?  LOL.)  My white panels are cut 4 x 6 inches to fit the frame.
Next, I embossed each panel with a falling hearts embossing folder.
I placed the pieces on each panel.  Before gluing them down I put the frame on top (minus the glass which I threw out) to see how the layout would look, and how much border I had around the layout.
When I was satisfied with each layout I glued the pieces to the embossed panel.  For the cat panel I went with a vertical layout since the kitty is rather small.  Because the dog is a bit larger, I used a horizontal layout for her.

These make fun, quick gifts for the pet lover in your life - even if that is YOU!

Black Friday Release Samples (Part 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are on our final day of sampling DT cards from the brand new Black Friday Release Bundle.

There are 16 new pet designs in this release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 30% off. Or you can purchase the entire release for $99.95 and you will save 60%.

We have been featuring designs from the team all week. So if you missed them check here, here and here.  We wanted to  give you some creative ideas for using the dies. Our cards today are all about the dogs.

Card 1: The first sample today is one that I (Mary Marsh) have created using the charming Dapper Dachshund die. This little debonair doxie is just to cute with her ruffled sweater and sweet bonnet. I picked the plaid designer paper because I thought it had that same sweet appeal as she does.
The sentiment just seemed so right to describe her. This card would work for anyone who loves Dachshunds or even as a way to just let a friend know you are thinking of her.
Card 2: Our next sample is from Pam MacKay. She used the adorable Good Boy Puppy die on her sharp looking card today. She used some fun dog bone designer paper and the Love my dog phrase to tie her dog themed card together. This is such a fun and easy card to re-create and would be perfect for a new pet owner.
Card 3: Our 3rd sample is from Lois Bak. She used the Loyal Pets die on her card today. She created a great nighttime scene using a beautiful star themed designer paper. The dog and cat seem totally captivated and enjoying the stargazing. Her peace sentiment really describes this card quite well. This would make a wonderful Christmas card.
Well that concludes the group posts featuring the new Pet release dies. I hope you have enjoyed the eye candy that's been presented this week. And that the team has given you some inspiration and new ideas for using these dies.
