Bunny With Coffee

Hi!

It's Anja here. Today I made a wish well card. I used the cover theme to decorate the inside.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Egg Painting Bunny, Love Latte & Donut, Coffee & Donuts, Nested Wacky Stitched Square Set),
- Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey, Picked Raspberries, Hickory Smoke, Vintage Photo, Pumice Stone, Black Soot),
- white card base (10,5x15 cm),
- patterned paper (2 10,2x14,7 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- Versafine black ink,
- acrylic block,
- white pen,
- sentiment stamp,
- pink liquid drops,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the bunny, coffee and donuts.

Then I cut two background papers and two squares.

I glued the patterned paper and the smaller square to the cover and then stamped the sentiment under the square. I used the other paper in the bigger square for the inside.

Next I glued the bunny, coffee and donuts. I used liquid drops to decorate the donuts.

And my card was done.

Next week I'll show you the projects with the Easter release dies.

Before I go I'm inviting you to the store for the Anniversary Sale. You can get the dies for great price.

Have a nice Sunday everyone and see you again next week.

Just for You

Hi!

It's Anja here. I have another simple card for you today. I used this cute puppy die and instead of a letter I put donut in his hands.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Puppy Love Letter, Love Latte Donut),
- Distress Inks (Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany) and Oxides (Worn Lipstick),
- color spray (white, pink),
- white card base (10,5x15 cm),
- water color paper for background (10x14,5 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- black pen,
- heat gun,
- black pigment ink,
- sentiment stamp,
- acrylic block,
- scissors,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the puppy. I used black pen for the eyes.

Then I cut the paper for background and colored it with Distress Oxide ink.

I sprayed white color over it and dried it with heat gun.

I did the same with pink spray.

Then I stamped the sentiment on the paper and cut it with scissors.

When I had all the pat made I assembled the card and glued everything. And my card was made.

This is all from me for today. Spring release is still waiting for you in the store for 25 % off.

Have a nice Sunday.

Anja Z.

We Go Together

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog. We have a new release of Valentine & St Patrick Day dies in the online store. Each one is cuter than the next and they are on sale for a limited time at 25% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure I have a Valentine card using the Love Latte & Donut + the Valentine Phrase & More dies. So let's get started with some details and a tutorial on how I created my card.

Step 1: I started my card with the idea of using the weekly sketch #733 from Splitcoaststampers. I liked the layout and thought it would work well for the dies I had in mind.
I wanted to stick with the traditional Valentine colors of red and white with some black, pink & blue accent colors for the images. I found several patterned papers that I liked but eventually settled on this one. It is part of a Valentine collection of papers. I thought I should stick with paper that is a bit more playful because of the images and sentiment I am using.
Started cutting the card images using a medium brown and pink for the donut, a darker brown for coffee in cup and a caribbean blue for the coffee cup.
I cut the images to go across the top panel (element 6 of the sketch). I cut these in black and red cardstock. Wanted a contrast across the top. I only cut 4 because I thought the "xoxo" image would count as 2. The sketch has 5 images across.
I used the 2nd largest Stitched Circle dies to cut my circle for element 4 of the sketch. That size was large enough for my coffee cup image and also my sentiment. Before I stamped the sentiment I placed my coffee cup at the bottom left and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for the placement of my image.
Step 2: Now that all the card elements are cut, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the designer paper to the red layer with double sided tape. My top rectangle panel is embossed with a heart embossing folder. This panel is 1" x 5 3/8".

I attached my sentiment circle with double sided tape. I cut the top portion of it off and slid the circle under the red embossed layer.
To secure the images across the embossed panel, I used glue dots and Ranger multi medium matte.
Attached the coffee cup and donut to the image panel.

And then, to finish off my card I attached to the white card base and scattered a few hearts to the image panel.
Well that's it for me for this week. I hope I have given you another idea for using these 2 sweet Valentine dies. See you next Saturday.

Love - We're the Perfect Blend

Hello!  This Sukie with my guest designer post sharing a project with the new Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day release.  There are 16 new dies in this release which are currently on sale.  They are all so cute and perfect for those Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day projects!
For my card, I used paper from the Craft Smith "Love U A Latte" paper pad.  The patterned paper complimented the die cuts perfectly.
I'm always looking for creative ways to use my dies so I combined the Love Latte & Donut with Love Cupcake.  The heart was cut from the Stitched Heart set.
Each of the die cuts were inked on the edges and adhered together. Next, I clustered the die cuts by grouping them on the stitched heart. The "love" sentiment was placed on the heart creating a cohesive look to the design.
The card base was put together quickly by adding a solid brown strip along the edge of the patterned paper.  I heat embossed a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps (retired) Freshly Brewed stamp set. The sentiment filled in the space between the heart and the edge of the card and worked perfectly to anchor the sweet design.
Here are the dies used on my card available in the shop:
