Build-a- Zinnia

Happy New Year to all!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog! It's Olena from olenasplace.blogspot.com today with a first new creation from CottageCutz dies.
Today I wanted to share my Zinnia circle card. I made this card using the Super CUTE CottageCutz Zinnia, Layered and Leafy Foliage dies.

On this card I used the gorgeous CottageCutz Zinnia, layered die to create my own flower. I cut out using cream card stock, and then I airbrushed them with a mid.purple Copic marker. Next I used Zip Dry paper glue to give them a 3-D look, and then added some Liquid Pearls to the center of flower.

For leaves I used the CottageCutz Leafy Foliage die. I cut out using cream card stock and airbrushed with green Copic markers.

The base card  was cut with Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped circle dies.
I added  flower and leaves to card front as shown in picture above. Then, I decorated card with clear Dew Drops and Liquid pearls.

For this card I used:

Thank you for looking and have a Lovely day!!

Vellum Flowers

Today I've got a layout to share with you that highlights the Flower With Cutouts die and the Leafy Foliage set. I layered vellum paper over a pale pink cardstock to create a romantic flower. The foliage die is one of my most used dies! I just added a little distress ink to the edges, and they really popped. This April will be my third wedding anniversary - so don't be afraid to scrap pictures going back in time, as well as those fun memories that you just created!

Flying By To Say Hi

I think I have been making Christmas projects since August - so I decided I needed a little break from the Holiday festivities! So I've got a card that is a little bit more spring inspired! I love the layering of the dies and patterns - I just think it makes for a fun card!

I have a stack of fun dies waiting for me to play with from the Carnival release, but I'm waiting on some more pictures and journaling from my daughters trip to Disneyland and California Adventure.......so I decided to show you this Prom layout I made with the CottageCutz Leafy Foliage 4x6 die. I love this die, it can be added to so many other dies or used alone to put that finishing touch on things.

This die cuts out a leafy stem as well as some individual leaves. I inked the edges with some Peeled Paint Distress ink and adhered them to my layout. Very simple and adds just the right touch I was looking for.
Hope you are enjoying all the talent from our new design team members - aren't they great??
Have a great Wednesday!
