You are not going to believe how adventurous I got with this card and these dies! Before I tell you how I accomplished this Shabby Chic Little number, let me show you the dies-then I will explain.
Ok, so you see this die right above here with the bright pretty colors. Well I cut my pieces out of card stock in exactly the colors you see in this picture-bright and vivid. What I did to make them pastel was to spray paint them with white paint. YES, you read correctly. I sprayed painted them with a .99 can of white paint you can pick up at your local Walmart. How did the little pieces not go flying everywhere-well that was easy. I made a loop with scotch tape and put my little pieces right on it and stuck them on a piece of scrap card board. They stuck just fine and the pieces came off the tape perfectly. I first saw this technique

Just remember not to over spray-you want a little color to show through. The Cottage Cutz Magnolia Doily Die is located under the shabby chic flowers I made with some punches. The leaves on the flowers were sprayed white-but the flowers were white to begin with. I just used some picket fence crackle paint on them and sprinkled glitter.
