Pink Floral Card

Happy TuesDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you, on this wonderful day! It is scheduled to be pretty warm here in Florida so getting some crafty time in is a great way to send the day! For today's project, I am sharing a simple and pretty card I created with dies from the amazing new Flowers & More release from Cottage Cutz!

All the dies in this collection are a wonderful addition to your crafty stash. Here is my projects for today.
My card is an A2 top folding card. I started with a white cardstock base. I then added a mat from some patterned paper and also a mat of black cardstock. Each a 1/4" smaller than the mat.

I then cut out the pretty flower 1 die from regular white cardstock. I used my markers to color in the petals and the leaves. For this flower, I layered two layers of the flower petals together. I offset the top layer slightly and also gave the top layer a bit of curve so it would have a touch of dimension. I also layered the two smaller petals.

You can also see that I used the double stitched oval die to cut out the patterned paper mat. I layered all of that onto a scalloped oval die cut with white cardstock. I then added some sequins for an extra decorative touch.

To finish off the card, I die cut the second smallest double stitched oval die cut from the set with white cardstock. I also cut out the Thanks die in white cardstock. I colored it in with some dark gray marker. It almost looks black but not quite.

Here is one last look at my finished card. I think it turned out super cute! I think layering the main flower piece gives this flower some great dimension!

New Die Release - Meow are You?

Hello!  This is Sukie and I have a sweet card to share for my design team post.  There's a brand new die release with 19 new dies as part of the Gardening Bundle which are currently on sale!
I used the Garden Cat w/Wagon and the Gardening Hat & Gloves at the focal point of my card.  I also inked up a die cut circle from the Double Stitched Oval Set.  The yellow gingham paper is from my stash and provides a cheery background for my card.
I used a combination of inks and card stock for my die cut pieces.  I found the perfect sentiment in my stamp collection from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Party Animals stamp set.
I created my card by layering the oval on top of the gingham card base.  The Garden Cat w/Wagon was nestled inside the oval.
The Gardening Hat was added as an embellishment.  The sentiment strip was snipped off into a flag and adhered as the finishing accent on my card.
Here are the dies used on my card, available in the store:

A Christmas Wish Just for You!

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing a project created with the new Christmas dies.  There are 25 new dies in this collection and they are perfect for those Christmas creations and they are all on sale right now!
I went with a traditional color palette for my card pulling the colors from the beautiful patterned paper.
The die cuts are from the Christmas Car & Trailer set.  I mixed in some additional patterned papers from my stash for the details on the car & trailer.  I also cut the oval for the background in white card stock from the Double Stitched Oval set.
As I was thinking of my card design, I found a fun sentiment in my stash from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Merry Kissmas stamp set.  I also cut out a frame for my sentiment using the coordinating card stock.  The white oval was given a splash of color with some Oxide Inks.
I pulled my card base together and layered it with the oval which would eventually frame the scene on my card.  The shaded oval helped to mute the fun and vibrant colors of my card.
The trees were placed to the right of the oval frame.  The layering of the trees created a bit of dimension behind the car & trailer.
The sentiment fit perfectly above the Christmas scene which was the final accent on this festive card.
