Gift Basket Banners With Cottage Cutz Dies

Happy Tuesday crafty friends!
I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! Today I am sharing a fun project...err should I say projects created with some fun dies from Cottage Cutz. Here is what I created.
I created these fun gift baskets and used some dies to create the little banners on each one. It is kind of hard to see them here in this group photo. I wanted to share the whole finished set first.

Here's a photo of one of the gift baskets before I put the cello wrap and bow, etc. on it. I got these baskets from Hobby Lobby on clearance! I had to make 4 baskets for a teacher appreciation event our Chamber of Commerce is hosting next week. I filled the baskets with items that a teacher can use. I decided to decorate the baskets with these cute hanging banners. I strug the 4 banner panels along some jute and then used some wood beads inbetween each panel.

Here's a look at the #1 banner. I used Kraft cardstock to cut out the double stitched rectangle mats from that set. I then cut some black cardstock to create some mats. I used some foam tape between the two Kraft layers to give it a little more dimension. The Award cup and #1 are from a die as well.

Here's a closer look at the puppy with apple and star banner.

Here's a closer look at the folk art fox die on a banner.

And last but not least, here is a close up of the All star banner.

Heres a closer look at one of the baskets once the cello wrap was on.

Here's a closer look at the one basket that is a rectangle basket. I was only able to find one rectangle so the other three were in the baskets.

Patriotic Pennants (For The Doggie and the bow on the apple and the stars)

Circle Windows Slimline Die (For the Apple)

Baseball Phrases (for #1 and for the All in All star)

Well that covers it for today. Be sure to head over to CottageCutz.com. They are currently having a Christmas in July sale and have some of their world famous Christmas dies on sale!

#1 All Star MVP Birthday Heart Stitched Card

Happy TuesDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on on another sweet TuesDIE. Today I am sharing a fun card and very easy card I created featuring dies from the Baseball and Golf release.

Here's a look at my completed card. It is a standard A2 horizontal top folding card. I started with a white cardstock base. I then layered a piece of red cardstock onto the base and a piece of cute Doodlebug patterned paper to that. I used all 4 hearts from the Nested Stitched Heart die set. I cut them out in white cardstock and then colored them in with my markers. I used the stitches from the Baseball to create the stitches on the heart.

Here's a closer look at the Shadow Birthday and the cute All Star. You can also see some of the cute hearts.

Here's a closer look at the other hearts. I colored them all in with my various markers to match the patterned paper. I then layered the #1 and the MVP titles onto each other and then onto the card.  I love the way it turned out. Very simple yet super colorful and fun.

In case you missed it, last week I created a couple of quick videos showcasing more projects from this super cool set! Here are the links.

I live in Arizona home of the Diamond Backs!  We have tons of baseball.  We host a number of times for spring training so the state has a lot of opportunities to see some fantastic games.

The easel card for today is using 3 of the new dies. They are All Stars with a ShadowBaseball, and Baseball Batter Silhouettes.

Design Steps:

1.  Use the Baseball die, the Baseball Batter Silhouettes, and the All Star with Shadow and cut out of black, white, and red.

3.  Glue the red to the kraft base, glue the Baseball DP to the red and next glue the red strip just slightly below center and then add the corrugated kraft strip to the red strip
3.  Put pop dots on the upper and lower part of the baseball and adhere to the card as shown.  Then put pop dots on the player and ball and add him just on top of the baseball

5.  For the inside Cut a piece of white card stock 4 x 5 1/4, red 5 1/4 x 1, and Baseball DP 5 x 3/4 and Assemble the All Star with Shadow
6.  Glue the white card stock to the inside, glue the red strip 1/8 of an inch from the bottom, glue down the Baseball DP to the red strip and then pop up the All Star (This will become the stopper for the easel pop up as seen below.  I added a couple of tickets that I stamped and cut out for additional interest.  The card is complete
