Snowy Village Holiday Tags

Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back with another  CottageCutz YouTube video on the CottageCutz Channel This week I changed up my project with these elegant holiday tags.  I used both the "Snowy Village Buildings" and "Snowy Village Accessories" dies from the Christmas release for my tags.

These tags add a personalized touch to your packages and do not take a ton of time making them.  You could easily make an "assembly" line while watching a sweet holiday movie, being both creative and productive!

You can find all my layout instructions over on the YouTube Channel!

While over on the channel, make sure you like and comment for a chance to win the "Snowy Village Buildings" die!

The winner of the "Rustic Winter Window" die from my last video is Susie A, the details for collecting your giveaway prize are over on YouTube!

Thanks for stopping in, and have a wonder holiday season, I will see you in the New Year!

Frosty Friends

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Pam sharing with you today! Merry Christmas to all!

Well only 4 days left until the big day of celebration!! And of course I am getting a last minute gift ready.  And what is a gift without a handmade card!  So this is the last card of the season.  I used the Happy Reindeer and Snowman.

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Happy Reindeer and Snowman die cut out the following pieces of card stock:  brown, red dotted DP, green, black, orange, dark brown, and white.  Shade the edges with coordinating inks and a small applicator.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue

2.  Use a white A2 card base, cut red dotted DP 4 18, 5 3/8, cut a piece of reindeer DP 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 (using the 3rd from the largest Pierced Oval die cut the oval in the center of this reindeer DP) and finally cut a piece of white 4 1/2 x 3 1/4 and sponge or brush with blue ink
3.  Glue the red dotted DP to the white card base, next glue down the blue inked card stock to the center of the red dotted paper.  On the back of the reindeer paper add dimension tape and then pop it over the blue inked paper
4.  Add the snow to the bottom of the oval and then glue down the reindeer and snowman.  Add the bow and your sentiment and your card is complete

Easy Snowman Tag

Happy Tuesday Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you, and today I am sharing a very easy tag for a present I created with the adorable Snowman w/Tree Die from  from this year's amazing Christmas release! As we get down to the wire and finish wrapping all of those presents, here is a very quick and easy tag solution that you can get done fairly quickly!
To create my cute and very simple tag, I used the second largest double stitched rectangle die from that set for my base. I cut it out of plain white cardstock. I then proceeded to cut a piece of patterned paper for the background mat.

I then cut out the adorable snowman die in white cardstock. I colored the various pieces with my markers. and assembled them and put them onto the mat. I added some puff paint for the snow, the brim of the hat and the ball. I also added some of that same paint onto the tree too.

Next, I cut out the Merry and Christmas from the Tree die set. I colored in the pieces with my pink markers.

Lastly, I took the second smallest stitched scalloped rectangle from the die set to make my to and from tag. I stuck all of that onto the double stitched mat. To finish off my gift, I wrapped the center in some pretty ribbon. I adhered the finished tag over the ribbon. I hand wrote the To and From on the tag. For a little extra touch,  I added a cute snow flake charm to the corner.

Here's a closer look at my finished tag. I think it turned out super cute and really makes my package look finished!

Peace On Earth

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

It's crunch time now for Christmas cards. I still am not done making all my cards and then there is the addressing and mailing to be done. Yikes! I needed a few quick cards to finish up for Christmas 2022.

So for today I am featuring the Peace on Earth and the Holiday Dove w/Floral dies. Both are from the Christmas Part 2 collection and are on sale for 30% off.

Here are the card details:

I found these card bases in my stash and I loved the foggy yet peaceful and serene snow scene. I thought they would be a great backdrop for the Peace on Earth phrase as well as the Peace dove. And my card for this week was born.

I had 3 of these bases and decided to cut them in half to create more cards. So I was able to get 5 cards in this design.  The background is very sparkly and my photos aren't doing the paper justice.
In order to create an A2 card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), I cut the panel to 4" x 5 1/4". For my layering panel I wanted to use some silver paper but I didn't have any, but I found these silver envelopes. I cut them apart (4 1/8" x 5 3/8") and used them- they worked perfectly. My card base is a dark gray - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
I cut my phrase sentiment and the dove in a white glitter paper. My camera isn't picking up the sparkle in this paper either. They both look great against the snowy background. These aren't traditional Christmas colors, but I like to create cards for the Holidays using non-traditional colors.
Now that my card elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached all the layering pieces with double sided tape.
Next, I attached my sentiment with clear glue and the dove with dimensional adhesive.
And that's my card for this week. See you next Saturday!

5x7 Bench Fold Card - Santa Stopping By a 50's Diner

Hi everyone! Linh here and I have a new video up on the Cottage Cutz YouTube channel. This is a fun bench fold card. I think sometimes even Santa needs to stop by a diner for an ice cream sundae to fuel the rest of his Christmas deliveries. :) I've combined some of the most recent releases - the Classic Fifties along with various Christmas sets.
