Birthday Wishes

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you on the blog today!

It is time to make the CottageCutz family a little bigger.  We are adding a brand new line of Photopolymer Clear Stamps call Lil' Bluebird Designs.  We are kicking off this new line with 16 new stamp sets that have coordinating dies.  Make sure to check all of them out by clicking HERE

Today, I am featuring the Happy Birthday set.

Design steps:

1.  Using the Happy Birthday set stamp the images in Memento Black.  Use your Copic makers (colors pictured below) to color your images and then cut them out with the coordinating dies

2.  Using the second from the smallest Pierced Square die cut out 4 white squares.  Blend the squares with a blue ink
3.  Create little scenes with the critters.  I used Spring Grass cut on green card stock and Hills Slimline for the brown card stock hills.  When the scenes on each square are complete I cut 4 white Scalloped Squares using the second from the smallest die.  Then I layered the pieced squares on top of the scalloped square

4.  Pop up the little squares as shown above.  Stamp your sentiment which is also included in the Happy Birthday stamp set.  And your card is complete

What's Cookin?

Hello!  This Sukie and today I'm sharing a card featuring one of the Lil' Bluebird Designs stamp and die sets which is a new brand under Cottage Cutz! The new stamp and die sets are all currently on sale.  I'm also using one of the latest Slimline dies on my card.

My card base is cut from the Circle Windows Slimline die set in white card stock.  I also used the Lil' Bluebird Designs BBQ Time stamp and die set.  The stamped images were colored with my Distress Inks and a watercolor brush.
I found the perfect plaid style paper in my stash so I adhered it inside the windows of my card.  My card panel was added on a red card base for a pop of color.  I rounded the corners with my Fiskars Corner Rounder.
To build my card, I affixed the barbecue grill and a couple of the bees inside the first window.
Next, I placed the remaining stamped images in the other two windows leaving enough room for my sentiment.
The sentiment was placed in the center of the middle window finishing off my summer themed card.
Here are the products used on my card, available in the store:

What's Cookin?

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam sharing with you this wonderful Monday morning!

As you have heard the Scrapping Cottage family just got bigger with it's new line of stamps and dies.  The line is called lil' bluebird designs.  In the first release there are 16 stamp sets with matching dies.  And you can save up to 50% on bundles.  Today, I am using the BBQ Time Set.  It is perfect for an invitation to a barbecue or just a saying hi card.

I stamped the images using the BBQ Time stamp set and colored them with Prisma colored pencils blending with Gamsol.  Used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Card base is black and the layer on top is out of kraft card stock.  Stamp the bottom and top of the kraft card stock with the little ants.
I cut out a square on black card stock using the  Scalloped Stitched Square set second from the largest.  Then I cut out a white square using the Double Stitched Square Set.  Top the two squares with a piece of red gingham for a picnic table cloth.  Glue and pop dot the items onto the table cloth

I lined the inside of the card with white card stock stamped with the little ants at the bottom

Sparkly Sheep

Hi!

It's Anja here for my Sunday post. While I'm still waiting for the new slimline dies and stamp sets to arrive, I'm still making cards with cute Country Farm release dies. This time I made a card with sparkly Sheep.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Curly Sheep & Lamb, Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline, Nested Stitched Rectangles Slimline),

- Distress Inks,

- white card stock for die cuts,

- black pen,

- white ink,

- embossing ink,

- sentiment stamp,

- acrylic block,

- heat gun,

- white embossing powder,

- sparkle brush marker,

- Perfect Pearls powder,

- brush,

- water spritzer,

- adhesive foam pads,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the sheep and the lamb.

Next I cut the scalloped rectangle and embossed the sentiment on top using the white powder.

Then I colored the rectangle with Distress Inks.

After that I sprinkled Perfect Pearls mixed with water over the paper. I used the heat gun to dry it.

I cut another rectangle piece for the card base. I glued the colored rectangle on top of it and added the sheep and the lamb. I used adhesive foam pads to adhere it. Last I used a sparkle marker to add some shine to both the sheep and the lamb. And my card was done.

And that's all from me for today. Before I go I want to invite you to The Scrapping Cottage online store to check the new Lil' Bluebird Designs release.

Have a nice week and see you again on Sunday.

Anja Z.

Sea you Soon (new stamps & die)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

IT'S NEW RELEASE TIME! The Scrapping Cottage has just added a new brand to the company line. Lil' Bluebird Designs is being introduced with 16 new Photopolymer Clear Stamp Sets and 16 coordinating dies. There are stamps for so many of your card making occasions and then some. The coordinating dies just make it a perfect fit for your card making designs.

Today for your viewing pleasure I am featuring the new Under the Sea stamp set and Coordinating die set. I created a card for my precious granddaughter to let her know I will be seeing her soon. Yes, we are planning a trip to California later this month to visit her.

So let's get started with some details on how I created my card.

Design Steps:

I started by stamping the images using tuxedo black ink by Memento and then coloring the images with various alcohol markers.  I selected several of the undersea images to create my little underwater scene.
The photos below show the alcohol markers I used for coloring.
Next, I ink blended the undersea background. I used a combo of distress inks, sponge daubers and smooth Bristol cardstock. I think this cardstock blends ink very nicely. Image panel is 4 1/4" x 5".
My sentiment was stamped in an espresso ink. It's a dark brown shade.
I am now ready to start my card assembly. I attached the images with dimensional adhesive. Before I secured the diver and the fish I stamped the water bubbles. I used Versamark ink and embossed with a white embossing powder. After I thought about it I wasn't sure if I should have possibly used a clear embossing powder.
To finish off my card I attached the image panel to a white card base. Card base is 4 1/4" x 5".

Well, that's it for me for this week. See you again next Saturday. The DT has been posting sample cards with these new Stamp & Die sets all week. Look back on the Blog if you haven't seen them.
