Fun Halloween Card and some tips.

Hello everyone!  Happy Fall!  I have been playing with backgrounds lately, and I have one to share with you today.  I used CottageCutz Trick or Treat Ghost and CottageCutz Frankly to create my scene.  Here is my card.

I used the tombstone from the Frankly die and the negatives of the hand and the hole in the ground.

Do you ever use the negatives of your die cuts to make something else?  I just happened to be using both dies when I noticed the negative for the hole in the ground.  I thought it was the perfect stencil to create the spooky clouds.  Then to create a little more spookiness I used the hand negative to have hands reaching from the grave.  I just flipped it over to have a right and left.  Again here is the finished card.

Next week I will be sharing the card I made with the CottageCutz Frankly.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Winter Bird

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with a card I made using the Beautiful CottageCutz Winter Bird w/Ornament from The Scrapping Cottage!

For my Bird and Ornament I used Creative Inspirations Paints in a several colors to color them both up. Next for the wing and ornament I used zapdots to give them a 3-D look. I love the dp its from DCWV and matches everything perfect! All ribbon and Lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I have linked the CottageCutz picture above to The Scrapping Cottage.

I also added sewing to my card, I love to sew on all my cards, I think it gives it a little extra detail :)

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!!

Victorian Bird Bath

It's Carol here at Cottage Cutz at The Scrapping Cottage!  Today I have created a card with the Victorian Bird Bath die.  I love playing with these dies.  It's so relaxing to cut and piece the dies into beautiful images.  I painted my image and flowers with Tattered Angels Glitter Glam in Twinkle Toes.  It not only sparkles but has a nice glimmer.

Rangers Distress Ink was used to color the images.  The Victorian Bird Bath was done with Tea Dye and the trim in Brushed Corduroy.  The birds and flowers were done in Dusty Concord.  The leaves are Peeled Paint.
Here is the die I used to create this card. Isn't it so pretty and sweet. It is from the Victorian Garden Collection by CottageCutz that you can find here.  Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great day!

Spooky Halloween

Hello friends!  Today I have a spooky scene to share with you.  I love Halloween and had a lot of fun making this card!  The size of the card is 5x7.  I started by making the moon.  I love making the night sky!  I cut the CottageCutz Bats on Branch from white cardstock and used my Copics to color them.  I cut the fence from black cardstock with the CottageCutz Picket Fence Border Die.  Love the size of this die!  Finally, I used the CottageCutz  Pumpkin Trio die for the jack-o-lanterns.  I assembled the card, added some white gel highlights, and some cobwebs to complete the card.

Thank you so much for visiting our blog.  We hope you enjoy the variety of styles we use to bring inspiration to you.  Have a great day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Halloween Tag

Today's Project is a large tag to use either in a mini album or by itself. I created my tag using the New CottageCutz Hocus Pocus Halloween Release, LOVE this release

I also used the CottageCutz Topiary & Pot die, and then colored the pot with Faber Castells. I did airbrush the greenery with copics. I thought it would be cute to use the witches legs(from CottageCutz Cupcakes and Toppers die) coming out of the bush....heheheheheh

I love using the CottageCutz Pumpkin Background and thought it would be perfect on a tag. I added some gems, bow, and a button to complete my tag!!

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

"Boo to You"!  Hello everyone it's Carol today and welcome to another CottageCutz project.  You know that I just adore these dies.  They are so fun to work with.  The Halloween collection is outstanding.  This week I worked with the "Gothic Gate".
On one of my trips to the "Dollar Tree" I had seen a Halloween Haunted House Box that I thought would be perfect for this project so I picked it up.  I used some K & Company paper to cover the box and then die cut the Gothic Gate four times and applied around the four sides of the box.  I used card stock in Halloween colors to paper piece the design.  I did apply a little black distress ink to the skeleton head.
I decorated the roof with a Martha Stewart Iron Gate Border Punch and also around the edge of the box top with Drippy Goo.  The Ghosts and Bats were a Recollection sticker pack and the Boo Sign with the Squiggly Eyes are K & Company.
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.

More Halloween Fun

Hello friends!  Today I have another Halloween card to share with you.  I have been loving what the other designers have been sharing with their CottageCutz dies.  I used the CottageCutz Witches Clothesline to make my card.  This die is so fun.  I used the tree from this die last week.  I can see using this tree often on Fall cards or winter scenes.  The lamp-post could be used as part of a scene by changing the color and adding a wreath.  I always try to think of ways I could use the die for more versatility.

I used a dark cardstock for the sky and added some chalk ink with a sponge to make it look a little foggy.  I used black cardstock for the black images.  The other images were cut from white and colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have some time to enjoy this beautiful Fall weather we have been having.

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
