Home for the Holidays
How cute is this Reindeer Stables Die?! It is such a fun and unique shape. Plus, it is so perfect with the other North Pole Cottage Cutz shapes like the Christmas Shoppe, Gingerbread House, and the Elf Workshop.
I was dying to get my hands on this one and start playing. Despite it's detailed appearance, it was not nearly as difficult to put together as it looks! The stables are all one piece as is the dark wood trim.
And to make this shape even better, it comes with stamps to make creating the stables and reindeer names plaques. These little stamps are so quick and easy to use, too. And ALL of the reindeer names are included!!! Not just the ones you see in the picture so you can customize the stables with any of the reindeer names you would like.
I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture or not, but I used a tiny red rhinestone for Rudolph's nose. Fun and easy way to add a little bling to this shape! I also used white glitter cardstock for the snow pieces to give them that snowy shimmer. I cut the reindeer out of brown fuzzy paper which adds some really nice texture.
Glad you could stop in today! Have a fun and scrappy weekend!

Pumpkin Harvest Time
Well, it's a little past pumpkin harvest time, but I've still got a few Fall cards to share that I've made with my Cottage Impressions and Cottage Cutz. Today's card features the Cottage Impressions Crows stamp set, and the Mini Pumpkin Cottage Cutz die. The pumpkins were cut with colored card stock this time, and both were colored with Copic markers.

For the leaves, I used my Martha Stewart Oak Leaf Punch and scrap card stock. I used the stippling technique to color the crows, to give them more of a textured look, and I finished this card off with some bronze colored pearls, grosgrain ribbon, and a little faux stitching/doodling around the edges of the panels. It's a fairly simple card, that has so much of what I love about Fall included. I'm really starting to get into the Christmas spirit, so it won't be long till I'm sharing plenty of Christmas cards/projects. I even put my tree up last night. No decorations as of yet, but it's up, and MUCH bigger than it looked in the box!!!! I didn't think I'd ever get all the branches fluffed and in the right place. Have you had a chance to check out the newest holiday releases at The Scrapping Cottage? There are so many adorable dies and Impressions stamps that will be perfect for your holiday cards, projects and layouts. Check them out today!!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I wish you a beautiful day, a glorious weekend, and lots of happy crafting!

Let it SNOW
Are you having cold weather where you live? Cold weather is here and, in my neck of the woods, that means snow will soon be here as well. Every year but one that I can remember we have had our first snow the week of Thanksgiving. Temps are indicating we could be right on schedule this year too, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I love it..... from the warmth of my cozy little house, that is. LOL
So with snow not far off, I decided to use the cute snowman doll from the Scrapping Cottage-Peachy Keen collaboration release. He looks so cute on this bookmark I made for one of the grandgirls. I love the snowman's cute chubbyness and sweet little face. The scan isn't the best but you can see the full project this way.

I used my white pen to add snow to the trees, and topped it with Martha Stewart coarse crystal glitter. I used the glitter on the trim of his hat too. And for final touches, I used my copics to add a little more depth and shadow, and for his rozy cheeks!
Bookmarks are so quick and easy to make. And fun too! Go on and give it a try. :)

He's Makin' a List and Checkin' it Twice
One of my favorite Christmas memories when my kids were young was to tell them
that Santa was watching them so they'd better be good :)
It was very true!

Hello! Sorry I have to post and run, but my Father in Law is here visiting! ☺ I used the Elegant Wreath die to make today's card. I used extra fine glitter to make it really sparkle. I think this die is titled perfectly because boy oh boy is it ever ELEGANT! Here is a side view to see more sparkle...
Ya just gotta love glitter! Have a GREAT day!!!

Country Turkey
Good morning! Welcome to The Scrapping Cottage blog today. I've been playing with the new Cottage Impressions stamps from The Scrapping Cottage, and my card today showcases this cute Country Turkey Stamp. This fella was once one of the ever popular Cottage Cutz dies, and now he's been made into a stamp, which is right up my alley. There's nothing I love more than coloring with my Copics, whether it be die cuts or stamps, coloring is where it's at for me, and I'm thrilled to see some of our favorite dies make the transition to stamps.
Mr Turkey is really strutting his stuff, and he's ready to send Happy Thanksgiving wishes to someone near and dear. Thanks so much for stopping by! I wish you a wonderful day, a blessed weekend, and of course, happy crafting!Thursday, November 11, 2010
Christmas.....yep, already!
I'm totally not ready for Christmas this year. Are you?? I don't mean to induce widespread panic, but there are just 43 days left. Seriously. I used to have it all together and finished with my shopping by the time the kids went back to school in the fall. Now that I have all the time in the world and no kids at home, I totally wait till the last minute. What's that about?!!! So, but anyway.....
This week I'm sharing a couple of ideas you can use on packages or quick thank yous for teachers, mailmen, your favorite bank teller, etc. I love making pockets and you can pretty much use any template or make one in any size you like.
The first is a gift card holder with a ribbon that can hang on the tree or a wreath. I used the elegant reindeer for this masculine style gift.

I hope you're more ready than I am for the holidays. I'm ready mentally, just not shopping or decorating-wise. LOL!

This time I've used a larger sized envelope. Added string for hanging and tied two candy canes together to tuck inside. Again, this would be cute tied to a gift with the name on a card inserted in the pocket or hung on a tree or wreath.
I used the adorable ice skating snowman stamp for the accent. He's so much fun to color and I also added stickles. His buttons are i-rock bling by Imaginisce. This is one of the first three images I've colored so go easy on me. LOL I'll never be a Lorie, but that's my goal so at least I have something to work toward. ;)

'Tis the Season
'Tis the Season for making all your holiday crafts. It seems as though this time
from Halloween to Christmas gets so busy and hectic, but the funnest
time to make all the fun crafts associated with the holidays.
I had fun using my Copics to color in this Cottage Impressions stamp.
These stamps are made from deeply etched red rubber for a clear impression.
calendars etc. - Let us know, we'd love to hear about your crafty projects.
Be sure to include some CottageCutz dies and stamps!
