Hello and happy Friday!! I have a couple of things that I've been working on to share with you today. First up, I have an 8x8 scrapbook page that I made of my son when he was seven. I'll never forget when he his his first real home run. He came running into the dugout from home plate, so excited, saying "Mom, did you see that monster of a home run I hit?" It was the cutest thing, and I"m not sure who was more excited. Tyler, or his dad. When I received my dies from
The Scrapping Cottage this month, and I saw the mini baseball die, I started to wonder how it would work to pair that die up with my Make A Monster Faces from
Peachy Keen Stamps. Well, here is the finished product, and I'm thrilled with the way this turned out. I simply cut the die cuts from white card stock, then stamped the monster faces. I then proceeded to add details and shading with my Copic markers. I took a white gel pen and added stitching to the edge of the black frame, and the sentiment is computer generated. This page will spark the memory of that very first home run forever.
Now on to my "cool" card. I took three of the Cottage Cutz mini dies from the August release at The Scrapping Cottage, and put together this fast and fun "How Cool" card. There's nothing more cool than ice cream, popcicles, and sunglasses for summer, and this card has it all. Once again, the die cuts were cut with white card stock and colored with Copic markers. This yummy K&Co. Citronella paper was perfect, and I can't tell you how lucky I am, because I always color my images/die cuts first, THEN go looking for paper to match. So far, this has worked out for me, because I always manage to find the perfect paper. I don't know how it works, but it does, so I'm not going to change the process!! LOL!!!
I hope you've enjoyed my summer projects today. The summer is quickly winding down, but I think I'll hold on to it as long as I can by making good use of all the fun summer themed dies that I have yet to play with. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I wish you a glorious day and of course happy crafting!
