Halloween Shaker Window

Hello Friends

I have one more Halloween card for you today.  It is featuring a shaker window and some cute little frightened kitties!  I repurposed a mix of dies as you will see in my list.  Dies used in this card: Garden Window, Ghost House, Spooky Kitties, Santa Gnome in Throne (chair) and Witchy Jack-O-Lantern (pumpkin)

Design Steps: 

1.  Use a black A2 card base, cut a piece of orange DP 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, cut a strip of kraft card stock 3/4 x 5 3/8 (run through an embossing folder for some texture)

2.  Glue the orange DP to the black card base then glue the kraft strip to the bottom of the orange DP

3.  Using the following dies Garden Window, (cut out 4 windows) Spooky Kitties, Santa Gnome in Throne (chair) Ghost House and Witchy Jack-O-Lantern (pumpkin) Cut out these colors of card stock: black, dark grey, kraft, white, yellow, green, spider DP, Star blue DP, orange and orange DP. (Not pictured pumpkin) Ink the edges with coordinating ink and then assemble the pieces

4.  To create the shaker window glue the acetate to the back of the first window then glue on top of that the other 3 window frames.  Add dimension tape to the back of the window.  Pour in the shaker bits.  For the scene in the background of the window cut a piece of starry purple DP to fit behind the window.  Add the hill for grass. Then add the Ghost House (I decided to cut off the ghost).  I backed the house with yellow card stock and glued it to the hill as shown.  Then take the background panel and lay it face down on the dimension tape

5.  Flip the window over and add the window sill and the kitty as shown above

6.  Glue the window to the right side of the card as shown above

7.  Pop up the chair and glue the kitty to the chair 

8.  Add the sentiment and the pumpkin and your card is complete

Halloween Cupcake Treats

 Hello Friends

It is fast approaching the time for ghosts, goblins and little trick or treaters!  I don't like the scary stuff for Halloween so I make cards that have a little touch of cuteness.  I decided to make a card with some fun treats!  I am using the dies Monster Cupcake, Slime Cupcake and the Trick or Treat Phrase.

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a white slimline card base measuring 9 1/4 x 4.  Cut a piece of black card stock 9 1/8 x 3 7/8, cut a piece of checked DP 9 x 3 3/4.  Using the Slimline Windows die cut out light purple card stock

2.  Glue the black to the white card base, glue the checked DP to the black and then add the purple windows

3.  Using the Monster Cupcake, Trick or Treat Phrase and Slime Cupcake dies cut out the following colors of card stock: orange, black, green, brown, black, purple and white.  Assemble the cupcakes with a fine tip glue

4.  Arrange your cupcakes and the sentiment as shown above.  I added some bats and sequins to complete the card

Fall Barn

Hello Friends

I have another fall card for you today.  I am using the Autumn Ladder.  This is so detailed and adorable!

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a tan A2 card base, cut a piece of dark brown card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, cut a piece of wood DP 4 x 5 1/4

2.  Using the Autumn Ladder cut the following colors of card stock: green, light green, spring green, dark brown, brown, light blue, white, yellow, orange, black, light orange, red, rust, blue and silver.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue.  For the grass I used the die Spring Grass

3.  Begin to build your scene on the woodgrain DP.  I put the grass down first and then the ladder from there I added all the smaller pieces

4.  I decided that the ladder needed to lead to the hayloft doors so I just created the doors from some brown cardstock

5.  To finish the card I added the sentiment and a bow
