USA

Hello Friends

I usually send out a few Happy 4th cards so I thought I would get started especially since this 4th is celebrating our 250th!! I am using 2 dies from our 4th of July collection.  The USA Phrase and The Patriotic Pennants are represented on this mini slimline card.

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Patriotic Pennants die and cut out the two dogs in a light tan, black (nose), and blue and red (the collars).  Shade the dogs with a matching ink.  Using the same die cut out the banner in red, white and blue.  Next cut out the stars in red, white and blue.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue

2.  Use a white card base measuring 6 1/4 x 3 1/4 (folded).  Cut a piece of red 6 1/8 x 3 1/8, cut a piece of DP 6 x 3.  Glue the pieces to the card base.  Using the Slimline Grass cut a piece of green and glue to the bottom of the card

3.  Pop up the pups and the banner as shown above

4.  Use the USA Phrase and cut it out in red.  Line the back of the letters in white.  Glue to the card base as shown above.  Add a few sequin and your card is complete

Best Dad

 Hello Friends

Today I am using two of the dies from the Classic Fifties Release.  I decided to make a few Father's Day cards for our churches Boutique sale coming up in late April.  The two dies I used are Classic Car (Side) and Cinema Drive-in Sign.

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Classic Car (Side) cut out the following colors of card stock: peach, silver, black, vellum, gray, and red
2.  Using the Cinema Drive-in Sign cut out the following colors of card stock: teal, peach, black, and yellow.  Using the Dad and Best Wishes dies cut out the words in black

3.  Assemble the pieces using a fine tip glue.  I added the top cinema piece once placed on the card
4.  Use an A2 with card base cut a piece of teal 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, cut a piece of DP 4 x 5 1/4

5.  Glue the DP piece to the teal card stock and then add the stitched black ribbon.  After the ribbon is add glue to the white card base

6.  Glue the Car as shown leaving the top of the car unglued so your can tuck the sign post behind it.  Glue down the sign leaving a little room at the top to be able to tuck in the added Cinema pieces.  Glue the best dad to the sign.  Add the stars and your card is complete

Bright Birthday Fun!

 Hello Friends

I have some great nephews and a great niece so I am putting together some cards for children.  I know kids love bright happy colors so I went with that as my theme.  I am using the following dies: Mouse with CakeBirthday Hedgehog and Sentiment, Happy Birthday.

Design steps:

1.  Cut a white slimline card base measuring 3 1/2 x 8 1/5 when folded. Cut a piece of DP 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 and using the 3rd from the largest Stitched Scallop Square cut out 3 white squares

2.  Glue the DP to the white card base and set aside

3.  Using the Mouse with Cake die cut out the following colors of card stock: yellow, orange, gray, pink and black.  Assemble with a fine tip glue and then glue to one of the scalloped white squares

4.  Using the Birthday Hedgehog die cut out the following colors of card stock: blue, tan, brown, orange, yellow, black and green.  Glue pieces together and then glue to a scalloped white square

5.  Using the Sentiment, Happy Birthday die cut out the happy in green and the birthday in orange.  Glue to the remaining white scalloped square

6.  Glue the mouse square to the top of the card base as shown.  Add the Happy Birthday square and then the Hedgehog square as shown below.  Your card is complete
