Santa’s Final Deliveries

Hello CottageCutz fans and happy Tuesday. It’s Wendy brining you the blog today and it’s Only 4 days left until the big day now so this will probably be my last Christmas post.

So today I have taken a card measuring 5.5” x 4.5”. From this I have cut the largest nesting rectangle in the middle of the card. On the back of the card as you can see I have applied blue card.

Next I have varying layers of white glitter card. I have made them look like hills by using the ‘Hills Slimline’ die. Each layer of the card has someone unique to add some variation. I can’t help myself but use the ‘Campin Out Trees’ die. Santa’s is also here with his mug of hot cocoa. He’a had a long night ahead of so he’s earned it LOL.

I have also used the beautiful house ‘From the Winter Houses 2’. They remind me of being in San Francisco. Finally Santa has his bag and there’s is another tree at the top of the card.

I really hope you like the card and are all set for the big day. I have several things on my list but they will get done. I will be back with a full tutorial on Friday (Christmas Eve), but in the meantime have s lovely week.

From our home to yours

Happy Friday it’s Wendy bringing you the blog today. I hope you’ve had a wonderful week and are looking forward to a weekend of crafting with the new release. OMG I was so excited to see such beautiful designs and I have had fun with a few of the dies today

Today I have used the Slimline Hills as my background. I cut this a couple of times so that I could offset them to give a point of interest. The top layer was attached with 1mm foam pads. 

I then cut a small border from the ‘Clouds Slimline’ dies for the top of the card

Next I cut out the houses from the ‘Winter Houses 2’ set. I chose just one design so that the houses looked liked they belonged on the same street. I’ve used contrasting card and these are some of my favourite colours. I found it easy to attach a piece of yellow card to the whole of the back of the house otherwise it would have been fiddly. I used a pretty white glitter card for all the snowy elements on the card as it gives the card a lovely sparkle

I just love the ‘Winter House Accessories’ die set as you can add so many elements to your card without them overpowering the design. I picked the dog, the snowman, the largest tree and the little fence posts.

The bottom left of the card looked a little sparse so I added the ‘Christmas Car W/Trailer’ to finish it off. 

I really hope that you enjoyed this card today and has inspired you for some Christmas crafting. I think these little houses would look great on tags too so I’m going to pull that together for a project next week
