Happy St. Patrick's Day Pup

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

We have a huge Presidents Sale going on in the store right now!  The sale ends tomorrow at midnight EST time.  You can save as much as 70% on some of the items.  It is a great time to stock up and cross off some of those dies on your wish list!! Check it out HERE.

Today,  I am using 3 of the dies that are currently on SALE!  The Shamrock and Valentine ScottiePierced Oval Set,  and Spring Meadow.

Designer Steps:

1.  Use the Shamrock & Valentine Scottie die and cut the following colors of card stock: light gray, gray, green, light green, yellow, brown and black. Not pictured is the grass cut with the Spring Meadow die on green card stock

2. Ink the edges of the pieces with matching inks.  Assemble the pieces with a quick drying glue

3.  For the card base use an A2 cream card stock
  • Cut light green card stock 4 x 5 1/4
  • Cut cream card stock 5 x 3 3/4 and use the second from the largest Pierced Oval to cut the oval out of the center
  • For the oval backing cut a piece of cream card stock 4 7/8 x 3 5/8
4.  On the 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 piece ink the bottom half with green
5.  Glue the cream inked card stock to the light green card stock.  Glue the pieces of grass as shown.  Use dimension tape on the back of the cream card stock with the cut out oval. Then pop it over the grass
6.  Glue the pup to the center of the grass
7.  I added 3 four leaf clovers to the edge of the card.  To give the clovers dimension I used a stylus, white ink pen for the little veins and to soften the white I went over it with my YG03 Copic maker.  I inked the edges of the leaves with a darker green ink.  I also decided to change up the sentiment to make it pop a little more.  Your card is complete

Best of Luck

Hi!

It's Anja here. Today I have a tag for you instead of a card. I used different dies from the previous release and made a tag you cab send to a friend to wish them luck.

For this project I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Be My Valentine Puppies, Lucky Leprechaun, Shamrock & Valentine Scottie, St. Patrick's Day Cupcake, St. Patrick's Day Phrase & More, Mail Tag Set),
- Distress Inks (Black Soot, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss) and Oxides (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade)
- white card stock and watercolor paper for die cuts,
- silver pigment ink,
- gold pigment ink,
- white pigment ink,
- gold color spray,
- black pen,
- embossing tools,
- hole punch,
- white pen,
- heat gun,
- string,
- paper glue,
- adhesive foam pads.

First I cut and colored the heart.

Then I prayed it with gold and dried it with the heat gun.

Next I cut and colored the shamrocks and other pieces.

I used white pigment ink and white pen to make it a bit more realistic.

I added the shamrocks a little dimension using the embossing tools.

I wrote the sentiment with black pen.

I punched a hole into the heart and glued a golden ring around it.

And then I just arranged the shamrocks and other pieces on the heart I used adhesive foam pad for the sentiment.

That's all from me for today. Have a nice Sunday and see you again next week.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing a card for my guest designer post.  My card was created with dies from the Valentine's release featuring the darling scottie!
I cut out the oversized sentiment in two different shades of green from the St. Patrick's Day Phrases & More die set.  The sentiments were adhered together and offset slightly.  The two colors give the sentiment some depth and dimension.
I also pieced together the Shamrock & Valentine Scottie and the hat from the St. Patrick's Day Cupcake die.  The hat on the scottie was bit oversized for my card so I cut out a tiny bow from the Lovebug Bee & Ladybug die set instead.
Once I selected the colors for my A2 card base, I used a circle from the Stitched Circle Set to create a window.  A smaller circle was also die cut.
The layers were adhered on my card base.  Next, I  placed the die cut circle inside of the window ensuring it was centered.
The sentiment was added to my card at an angle for a whimsical look and anchored with the hat.
Here are all of the dies I used on my card available in the shop:

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi!

It's Anja here. Winter is slowly waving its goodbye and warmer days are coming. I can't wait for the Spring to come.

I made a simple card for today's post. I used an adorable Scottie die and made a card for St. Patrick's Day.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Shamrock & Valentine Scottie, Oval Set),
- Distress Inks (Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Hickory Smoke, Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss, Mowed Lawn),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- white card base (10,5x15 cm),
- patterned paper for background (10x14,5 cm),
- printed sentiment,
- gold pigment ink,
- black pen,
- white pen,
- paper trimmer,
- adhesive foam pads,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the dog. I used black and white pen fr the eyes.

Then I cut all the pieces for the background.

I printed and trimmed the sentiment.

And than I assembled the card together. I used adhesive foam pads for the dog.

I'm still waiting for the Spring Release to arrive, but you can get it for 25 % off in The Scrapping Cottage store.

This is all from me for today.

Have a nice Sunday and see you again next week.

Anja Z.
