Group Samples -Christmas Part 2

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Happy Monday to you! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards using dies from the Christmas Part 2 release.

There are 34 new designs in this release. This release has something for everyone. So if you prefer a more religious tone to your cards- we have you covered. If you like a more whimsical design featuring Santa, reindeer, gnomes, moose or even a hot chocolate theme you will find some really cute dies.

We thought you might like to have some new and creative ideas for your Christmas cards using the Part 2 dies. So let's get started with the cards for today.

Card 1:  Our first sample today is from Pam MacKay. She used the ever so cute Moose Pulling Gnome Sled to create her sweet Christmas card.  The pierced rectangle die was used as the background for her image. She created a mask for the snow and then a stipple brush to ink up her sky. Some white acrylic paint mixed with water was used for a snowy sky effect. This card would make a great Christmas card for all age groups.
Card 2: Our next sample today is from Janja Albreht. She used the Warm & Cozy Cocoa dies to create 2 amazing circular easel cards. This type of fold always has such wow appeal. Her images are mounted on burlap which just adds to the charm of her cards. This would be a great card for your coffee loving friend , or for a coffee gift card or even a winter birthday.
Photos of the easel cards when they are opened. Here is a link to a tutorial for circular easel cards.

Card 3:  Our last sample for today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the Holiday Gnomes w/Fox  & the Happy Ho Ho Ho dies to create an action wobble card. The curved panel, addition of the designer paper and the enamel dots add to the attraction of her whimsical card.
Check out this short video clip to see the cute little Gnome do a wiggle.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these dies. Make sure you visit the Blog this week, we have a new release of dies coming and there will be group posts starting on Wednesday. The DT has made some awesome samples.

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 7)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. Today we have a framed wall art and two cards. So let's get started with the samples for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is from Janja Albreht. She used the Wood Fairy Door and Mushroom Fairy Garden to create her beautiful card. It has such a magical appeal, and it makes you think that once you open the door you will be inside a fairy garden. The soft glow of light behind the door is a perfect touch. This card could be used for any occasion - birthday, thank you, thinking of you, a welcome card.
Sample 2:  The next project is from Anja Zurga. She used the Wishing Well die to create another beautiful framed art piece. Check out her other 2 projects here and here. She has given us some great ideas for ways to use the dies other than cards. This one is intended as a wedding gift but by changing the sentiment you could use it for a birthday gift, how about the teacher gifts that we need for beginning or end of year. If you make handmade Christmas gifts this is a creative idea.
Sample 3:  Our last sample for today is from Pam MacKay. She also used the Wood Fairy Door to create a birthday card. Her card also has magical appeal to it. The patterned paper gives the look of a door at the base of a tree. How else would we get to a fairy garden (lol)!!!
The small rhinestones give a little sparkle to the flowers framing the door.  This would be an ideal card for a gardener or someone who made a fairy garden in their yard. My neighbor has such a cute one in her backyard.

Well that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you some additional ideas for these new dies. We have 1 more day of DT samples so stop by again tomorrow. You can also check us out on FaceBook and Instagram.

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 3)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. So let's get started with the cards for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the Stone Fairy Door die and the Home Sweet Home Phrase (older release) to create this pretty one layer card. She used distress oxide inks to color the fairy door image. The path, grass and sky were masked and colored also using distress oxide inks. How perfect would this be for a new home owner or someone who has just moved. You could also use it as a party invitation just by changing the sentiment.

Sample 2:  Our next sample today is from Pam MacKay. She used the Mushroom Garden die and created a birthday card with a fancy fold.  She cut the front panel in half and added the designer paper. The stitched scalloped square was used to showcase the mushroom images which were colored with Copic markers. The color scheme makes this such a soft and feminine birthday card. The sweet little ladybug is an ideal topper for the mushroom.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these new dies. Stop by the Blog again tomorrow for more amazing samples.

DT Samples w/Spring & Fantasy Dies (Day 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling cards from our Spring and also our new Magical Fantasy release.
There are 27 new designs in the Magical Fantasy release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off. We want to give your some ideas for your own card making. So let's get started with our samples for today.

Card 1: This is a card that I (Mary Marsh) created using the beautiful new Unicorn Floral die. I thought this would make a great feminine graduation card since the grad will be going on a new life adventure. To create the circular wreath look I used one of our circle dies and drew a pencil line. Then I started building my wreath starting with the unicorn and worked my way around. The coloring on our packaging is so beautiful that I used similar colors. A simple change of sentiment and this could be a birthday, anniversary or even a get well card.

Card 2:  Our next sample is from Anja Zurga. She also created a floral card using the Spring Teacup Bouquet. How perfect would this be for Mother's Day. What Mom doesn't like to get flowers? Or do you have a friend who loves to garden and has flower beds that are the envy of the neighborhood? Make her a card like this to let her know you are thinking of her. So many occasions and possibilities with this die.
Card 3: Our next sample is from Pam MacKay. She used the Sweet Unicorns die to create a beautiful and whimsical birthday card. Since Unicorns are adorable and very magical, the special little one in your life will love it. The background was created with distress oxide inks and the use of shimmer paper on the unicorn manes added just the right touch of sparkle.  The sentiment carries through the magical appeal of her card.
Card 4:  Our last sample for today is from Janja Albreht. She used the Peeking Egg Bunny and Spring Potted Bunnies dies to create this super cute and colorful Easter card. Don't you just love these precious little bunnies and look at that little bunny behind. The eye catching  Easter Phrase is using an older die -Retro Alphabet.
Well that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas for creative ways to use the new dies over the past 4 days. If you haven't seen the other cards check here, here and here. Happy Easter everyone!

DT Samples w/Spring & Magical Fantasy Release dies (Day 2)

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards from our Spring release and also our new Magical Fantasy release.

There are 27 new designs in the Magical Fantasy release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off. We want to give your some ideas for your own card making. So let's get started with our samples for today.

Card 1:  Our first sample today is Pam MacKay. Her whimsical card is featuring the new Magic Dragon die. The background sky is created with distress oxide inks to give the dragons a perfect flying spot. This card of encouragement would be a great one for a young boy. Maybe they are starting a new sport or even trying out for a school play.  It would be a big boost in their confidence to know they are being supported. And the sentiment is so fitting.
Card 2:  Our next sample is from Anja Zurga. She also created a card of encouragement and her lovely card is featuring the Spring Teapot and Cups die. These beautifully detailed dies are ideal for a friend who is a tea lover. The longer length of the card makes it just right to show off the tea images as well as the patterned paper.
Card 3: Our last sample for today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the oh so precious Princess Cake + The Fairytale Birthday dies to create a sweet birthday card for a young girl. And what could be better than a princess cake, to celebrate a birthday of a little princess. Any little girl would love to get this card. Her card is so bright and cheerful with a great choice in designer paper and then she matched the cake colors to the paper.
Well that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas for a way to use the dies. Stop by the Blog again tomorrow for more team samples.

Valentine Release DT Samples (Part 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards from the brand new Valentine & St Patrick's Day release. There are 16 new designs in this release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.

This is Day 3 of the new release sample, so if you haven't seen the other 2 days click here , here and here.  The design team has been showing some creative work  using these new dies.  So let's get started with the cards for today.

Card 1: Our first sample today is from Pam MacKay. She used the Shamrock & Valentine Scottie die to make this sweet Valentine card.  The red bow and sweet headband turned these into the cutest boy and girl puppies. The scalloped border and dotted ribbon just add to the overall charm of her card. Wouldn't this be a perfect card for your sweetheart, your son or daughter? And don't forget about the grandkids who love puppies!
Card 2: Our next sample is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the Lucky Leprechaun die to create this enchanting Valentine card. Jeanne is honoring her Mom's Irish heritage, and she decided to take on the challenge of making a Valentine card with this delightful little leprechaun. I think it's a maximum success! The sentiment she chose ties right to the leprechaun image! She used Copic markers to color her image and to add to the overall appeal of her card, she added some washi tape on the right side.

Card 3: The last sample for today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the Puppy with Valentine die. Love how this little Valentine pup is all decked out in his neck scarf.  The fancy heart he is holding would tug at anyone's heart strings. For a sentiment, I used the words from the Be My Valentine Puppies die. Lots of cute critters in this new release.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some inspiration on ways to use these new dies. And, if you are contemplating a purchase, don't wait to long, The dies are on sale for a limited time.

We will have another group post with these dies the end of the month to give you some more ideas for Valentine card making.
