Autumn On The Farm

Hi, Janja is here with you.
A little more, and autumn will come. This is the richest time of the year, enchanting us with beautiful autumn colors, juicy fruits and vegetables.
I tried to capture some of this on a card I share with you today.

CottageCutz dies - Lucky Leprechaun, Hats, Glasses & Mustaches, Old Farm Fence, Cornucopia, Ivy, Carrot Patch Bunny
- white card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 5 x 5" (12,7 x 13,7 cm)
- colored cardstock
- corrugated kraft cardstock
- colored ink pads
- watercolor brush
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads
Cut out the central motif with Lucky Leprechaun die and add a mustache.

Now cut out the various autumn crops.

Cut ivy from watercolor paper. I colored ivy with Distress Inks, brush and water.

Prepare a card base and trim a patterned paper. From corrugated kraft cardstock cut a frame and a fence. The outer edge of the frame is the same size as the card base.

First, attach a pattern paper and frame to the front of the card. Then paste the central motif, a fence and ivy. Finally, fill the bottom of the card with all the vegetables and fruits.

Have a nice day.
Janja

Best of Luck

Hi!

It's Anja here. Today I have a tag for you instead of a card. I used different dies from the previous release and made a tag you cab send to a friend to wish them luck.

For this project I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Be My Valentine Puppies, Lucky Leprechaun, Shamrock & Valentine Scottie, St. Patrick's Day Cupcake, St. Patrick's Day Phrase & More, Mail Tag Set),
- Distress Inks (Black Soot, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss) and Oxides (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade)
- white card stock and watercolor paper for die cuts,
- silver pigment ink,
- gold pigment ink,
- white pigment ink,
- gold color spray,
- black pen,
- embossing tools,
- hole punch,
- white pen,
- heat gun,
- string,
- paper glue,
- adhesive foam pads.

First I cut and colored the heart.

Then I prayed it with gold and dried it with the heat gun.

Next I cut and colored the shamrocks and other pieces.

I used white pigment ink and white pen to make it a bit more realistic.

I added the shamrocks a little dimension using the embossing tools.

I wrote the sentiment with black pen.

I punched a hole into the heart and glued a golden ring around it.

And then I just arranged the shamrocks and other pieces on the heart I used adhesive foam pad for the sentiment.

That's all from me for today. Have a nice Sunday and see you again next week.

Anja Z.

Valentine Release DT Samples Round 2 Saturday

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are having another round of DT samples from the brand new Valentine & St Patrick's Day release. There are 16 new designs in this release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.

So for the next several days, we will be giving you some additional creative ideas for using the dies. Our cards today are all about St Patrick's Day.

Card 1: The first sample today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the new St Patrick's Day Cupcake die. I thought this cupcake image would make a great card for an Irish friend of mine. She celebrates the day with full gusto (lol)!!! I followed the MojoSketch508 for my card layout. The green leprechaun top hat makes a perfect topper for the cupcake. And, the gold coins that are part of the die fit so well with the Irish blessing sentiment.

Card 2: Our next sample for today is from Anja Zurga. She used the super cute Lucky Leprechaun die. For her sentiment, pot of gold, shamrocks and good luck horseshoe, she used the St Patrick's Day Phrase and More die. Anja creates such great backgrounds with distress oxide inks and for this one she used the smooshing technique. Here is a link to the tutorial she followed. This card would be perfect for any of your Irish friends, a great teacher thank you card or for any of your special little ones.

Card 3:
Our last sample for today is from Janja Albreht. She used the St Patrick's Day Cupcake and the St Patrick's Day Phrase & More to create her good luck card. The leprechaun top hat and pot of gold accent both corners perfectly. For another creative touch, she filled the center of her square with shamrocks with gold coin centers. This would be a great card for someone retiring, or starting a new job or even as a graduation card. Think out of the box because our dies can always be used for other occasions.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some inspiration on ways to use these new dies. Make sure you stop by again tomorrow for more team samples.

Valentine Release DT Samples (Part 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards from the brand new Valentine & St Patrick's Day release. There are 16 new designs in this release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.

This is Day 3 of the new release sample, so if you haven't seen the other 2 days click here , here and here.  The design team has been showing some creative work  using these new dies.  So let's get started with the cards for today.

Card 1: Our first sample today is from Pam MacKay. She used the Shamrock & Valentine Scottie die to make this sweet Valentine card.  The red bow and sweet headband turned these into the cutest boy and girl puppies. The scalloped border and dotted ribbon just add to the overall charm of her card. Wouldn't this be a perfect card for your sweetheart, your son or daughter? And don't forget about the grandkids who love puppies!
Card 2: Our next sample is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the Lucky Leprechaun die to create this enchanting Valentine card. Jeanne is honoring her Mom's Irish heritage, and she decided to take on the challenge of making a Valentine card with this delightful little leprechaun. I think it's a maximum success! The sentiment she chose ties right to the leprechaun image! She used Copic markers to color her image and to add to the overall appeal of her card, she added some washi tape on the right side.

Card 3: The last sample for today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the Puppy with Valentine die. Love how this little Valentine pup is all decked out in his neck scarf.  The fancy heart he is holding would tug at anyone's heart strings. For a sentiment, I used the words from the Be My Valentine Puppies die. Lots of cute critters in this new release.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some inspiration on ways to use these new dies. And, if you are contemplating a purchase, don't wait to long, The dies are on sale for a limited time.

We will have another group post with these dies the end of the month to give you some more ideas for Valentine card making.
