Happy Thanksgiving

 Hello Friends

I love Thanksgiving it is a time to reflect on how blessed we are!  I have so many things to be thankful for.   I give praise to God everyday for the many blessings He has given to me.

Today I have a fun little card to share.  It is a 5 x 7 card which is a little larger then I usually do.  I needed the space to be able to build my scene with all the fun dies I wanted to use! I am featuring the Pilgrim & Indian OwlsFall BarrelHavest Pumpkins and Fall Wagon Wheel.

Design Steps:

1.  Use a 5 x 7 white card base, cut a piece of cloud DP 4 3/4 x 6 3/4,  use the Grass Slimline die and cut a piece of green card stock and then cut it down to 1 1/2 x 6 3/4.  Glue the cloud dp to the white card base then glue the grass to the bottom of the card
2.  Use the following dies Fall Wagon Wheel, Fall Barrel, Pilgrim & Indian Owls, and the Harvest Pumpkins cut the following colors of card stock: orange, green, white, yellow, tan, dark brown, black, medium brown, kraft, and deep red.  Cut out all the pieces then assemble with a fine tip glue

3.  Begin to glue the dies to the card base.  I glued the wheel down first then added the barrel with the sunflowers
4.  Next glue down the indian owl to the far right add the pilgrim owl and then finally the pumpkin.  Stamp the sentiment and layer it onto yellow.  Glue the sentiment to the card front as seen below and your card is complete

Thankful for You

Hello Friends

I am making a few Thanksgiving cards for family and friends.  I am using the following dies: Fall TreeFall Barrel, Mama and Baby Fox (just the baby).  Fall is my favorite color palette and I love sunflowers.  So I really like how this Thanksgiving card turned out.

Background Photo by Freepik

Design Steps:

1.  Using the following dies cut them out in a variety of colored card stock.  Fall Tree (brown, red orange and yellow) Fence (white) Grass (green) Fall Barrel (sunflowers: yellow, brown and green) Mama Fox and Baby (baby fox: rust, white, black). Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue
2.  Use a white A2 card base and cut a piece of white 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  On the white piece blend on some blue ink to create a sky
3.  Stamp Thankful for you in black ink.  Position and glue down your trees
4.  Next glue down the fence and then the grass making sure you only put glue on the very bottom of the grass so that you can stick in the sunflowers and fox
5.  Arrange your sunflowers and glue down
6.  Add in the little fox and your card is complete

Baby Girl = Cute Laundry

Hi friends!

Kris here sharing another BABY card with you.

I used the color challenge at SplitcoastStampers this week #CC996
which is Polished Pink, Lemon Lolly, and Parakeet Party

Dessert option is:  Embossing folder

I used the CottageCutz dies called Baby Girl Clothes and I computer-generated this sentiment based one I saw on Pinterest.

For my base, I cut a top folding A2 card.  I then cut a layer and used a GinaK lattice embossing (the dessert option part of the challenge).

For my main image, I added Kitsch Flamingo D.O. ink.  I then die cut some grass from the Parakeet Party cardstock and attached it to the pink layer.  I added a leftover piece of fence behind the grass.  Then I die cut the whole thing with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangles die

I backed that layer with the Polished Pink cardstock, cut at 4-1/4" wide and just a li'l taller than my focal panel so it gives a bit of a border on top and bottom.

I ran a piece of cotton candy baker's twine around the panel and added pop dots on back to hold twine and also elevate the whole panel so you won't see indents where the twine is on back.  The clothespins are part of the Baby Girl Clothes die.  I pieced the clothes with the Doodlebug Designs Baby Girl papers.

That's a wrap!!  ☺♥  Thanks so much for looking today!
