Floral Thank You

Happy Wednesday!

Kathy here with you and today I have a decorated gift bag with a matching mini notecard and envelope to show you using lots of beautiful CottageCutz Dies!  Here's the complete set!

I found these little White Paper Sacks (1 lb. - 3.5"x 2" x 6.75") at Michaels that I thought would be cute decorated for a gift!  All I did was add the Springtime Floral Die cut in white and colored with chalk inks, a piece of Fancy Floral Lace Border cut in white and a bow with a pearl.  Here's a close up of the die cut on the bag.

I made a little notecard with white card stock that measures 2 3/8" square so it would fit in the Elegant Envelope.  I decorated the notecard with the Spring Label Die cut with white card stock and colored the same way as the bag.  I then added the Thank You Die cut with white card stock to the label.  Here's a close up of the notecard.

For the envelope, I cut the Elegant Envelope Die with white card stock and decorated it with the Flower w/Cutouts (flower) and Plumeria & Leaves (leaves) all colored with chalk inks.  I added some pearls and a little Diamond Stickles around the pearl in the flower center.  On the back flap of the envelope, I add a small piece cut from the Springtime Floral Die that I colored to match the other pieces.  Here's a little close up for you!

I LOVE this little envelope!  It's perfect for little notecards to go with gifts!

These are the dies I used on my project.

Harvest Rooster Vane

Happy Tuesday!

Kathy with you today with a card I made using the new Harvest Rooster Vane Die from the Harvest Release and the Fancy Floral Lace Border Die.

As soon as I saw this rooster die, I thought about doing red and white with gingham!  I used Ruby Slipper Cardstock from Bazzills to cut the dies and paired it with white and old gingham paper I found in my stash from DCWV's Bright Mat Stacks.  The white under the rooster is embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give it a little texture.  I matted this with more of the Ruby Slipper and added it to a white card base.  The bow is a black and white gingham ribbon from Michaels.  I added a red button threaded with white floss to the bow center and added 2 little heart buttons with glue dots on the top right corner.  The sentiment is from the Boards & Beams Set from Papertry Ink stamped directly on the gingham paper.

Here's a little close up of the rooster for you.

Sunflowers & Country Crows

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

Kathy with you and today I have a fall card made using CottageCutz dies and stamps. The dies I used are Pot of Sunflowers, Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner, Tea Time Doily and Fancy Floral Lace Border. The stamps I used are Cottage Impressions' Country Crows.

I started with a side-step card for a base using a tutorial from Split Coast Stampers you can find here and Chance designer paper. I cut the Fancy Floral Lace Border with white and sponged the edges a bit. The "sun" is the Tea Time Doily cut with More Mustard that I trimmed down and inked a little. The Pot of Sunflowers were cut with More Mustard for the pot, Mocha Devine for the dirt and flower centers and white for the leaves and flower petals that I colored with inks. The green butterflies and flower were pieces cut with the Chance designer paper using the Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner that I trimmed and shaped.

The Country Crows were stamped on Solar White with Onyx Black Ink and colored with pencils. I then fussy cut them and popped them on the card, one on the front and the other on one of the "steps". I also made a second sunflower and popped it on the second "step" in the background. This is a fun card shape to give a scenery card a little depth.

Fancy Ornate Birdcage

Happy Friday everyone!

Kathy with you, and today I have a card using two new dies from the Fancy Floral Release, the Fancy Ornate Birdcage Die and Fancy Floral Lace Border Die!

I love how delicate these new dies are and how nicely they cut! For my card, I used Maripsa Designer Papers for the background and the birdcage, then green and tan cardstock for the rest. I added a little Diamond Stickles to the bird in the cage to highlight it, then added a sentiment, trim, bow, button, and pearls. Very easy card to put together!

Here's a little closeup of the dies for you...
