Black Friday Release Samples (Day 4)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit on this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

We have a brand new Black Friday Safari release available in the online store. There are 16 new designs in this release. There is something for everyone to help you create birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, graduation, get well and thank you cards. Let your creativity and imagination run wild with these dies.

And, you can pick these new dies up at a great bundle price of only $89.95. But don't wait because the bundle price only lasts for the next 10 days. The sale will end on December 4th.

The DT has created some really cute cards for your inspiration and we have been featuring them over the last couple of days. If you missed those posts check them out here, here and here. Now, let's get started with our cards for today.

Card 1: The first card today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the new Safari Peekers die. I thought this group of animals would be perfect to use a sentiment that gives birthday greetings from a group. It's going to my little granddaughter who has a bunch of stuffies here at my house. They will be sending her a birthday card in December.
To complement the Safari theme, I chose a background paper with various shades of greenery that looks like a jungle. Since the paper is a little busy, I framed it and then popped up the images to add dimension and the appearance of the designer paper to be off in the background.

Card 2: Our next sample is from Anja Zurga. We are doing a little change up and featuring a Christmas card from our Christmas Part 2 release. She used the new Reindeer w/Tree die to create a really cute card. The reindeer looks like he is ready to bring on the merry. Her backgrounds are always amazing and for this one she used 2 distress ink shades and water and the smooshing technique. It gives the effect of a snowy swirly background.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you some creative ideas for different ways to use these new dies. Stop back again on Monday for another  sample from the Safari release. Don't forget to check out the online store for the big Black Friday sale with savings of up to 85% on selected dies.

Black Friday Release Samples

If you missed those posts check them out here and here. Now, let's get started with our cards for today.

Card 1: Our first sample for today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She created a fun fold stand up card and using the new Safari Adventure Gang Who's watching who! This adorable gang is having a wild time on their people watching safari! Notice the binoculars and camera the animals are holding!

The woven designer paper and stenciled sky are a perfect fit for these safari friends. The "Go Wild" phrase is from the new Safari Phrases die. This would make for a great way to say "Happy Birthday", you only need to add your message and signature!
Here is a photo of her card closed.
Card 2: Our next sample is from Anja Zurga. We are doing a little change up and featuring a Christmas card from our Christmas Part 3 release and it's on sale as well. She used the Snow Babies die to create this sweet card. This pair is so precious. Her beautiful nighttime sky was done with distress oxide inks and flicks of white paint to give the illusion of snow. The sentiment is heat embossed to make it stand out.

Card 3:  Our last sample for today is from Sukie Dhillon. She used the Safari Monkey die to create a card of encouragement. Couldn't we all use a card like this one during these trying times? The vine she added all around the oval frame just adds to the fun vibe the monkey is creating.  The finishing touch is the sentiment which is a fun play on words.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some creative ideas for different ways to use these new Safari dies. We will be back on Sunday with more samples from this release. Check out the online store for the big Black Friday sale with savings of up to 85% on selected dies.

DT Samples- Spring Day 5

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Happy Friday to you! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards using dies from the new Spring dies release.

They are in the online store and 25% off for a limited time. There are 27 new dies in the release and each one is cuter than the next. They will be perfect for your Easter and Spring card making.

We thought you might like to have some new and creative ideas for your Easter or Spring cards using these new dies. The cards today are both in a whimsical style. So let's get started with some details on the cards for today.

Card 1:  Our first sample today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the new Spring Frogs die to create her card. We get an extra day this month and it will be Saturday, February 29.  This only happens every 4 years. How often have you said "if only I had another day". Well now you do and Jeanne is celebrating that extra day.

The frog, lily pad and cattails are cut from white cardstock and colored with Distress Oxide inks.  The "water" behind the frog is a patterned paper as is the green background.

For the sentiment, she stamped the "happy phrase" from a birthday sentiment set and then created the "leap day" using a small wood mount alphabet set. She stamped each letter at an angle for added interest and the up and down stamping adds to the leap theme.

Card 2: Our next card for today is from Anja Zurga. She used the new Rooster & Chick die to create this cute outdoor scene. It could be used for a variety of card giving occasions. Think about - thank you, thinking of you, get well or even a Father's Day card. If you changed the sentiment it could be Mother's Day or a birthday card.

The images are cut in white cardstock and then colored with distress inks. The rise and shine phrase is from the die of the same name.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these new Spring dies. We will be back again tomorrow with our final day of group posts. And, if you are thinking of getting any of these new dies, they are on sale for a limited time in the online store.

Artic Animals Black Friday Release 2019 Day 4

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Happy Sunday to you! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today.

We are sampling DT cards using dies from the new Artic Animals Black Friday release. There are 13 new designs in this release and they are currently on sale. You can get this entire release at an amazing price of under $70.00.

These new dies are so versatile, as you will see with the DT samples. They can be used for a variety of occasions. The baby Artic animals  would make a cute congratulations card,  baby shower invitations, a welcome new baby card, a child's birthday card or cards for our animal loving friends. The other dies are great for a winter birthday, thinking of you, thanks and let's not forget our Christmas cards.

So let's get started on the samples for today. The DT has created some beautiful cards with the Artic Animals

Card 1: Our first sample today is from Anja Zurga. She is featuring the new Artic Polar Bear & Cub die and created a lovely Holiday card. She is showing the laminator technique on the card window. Check out this blog post for more details on this interesting technique. The Pierced Wide Square Frame die was used to cut the frame and create the window. She stenciled clouds and then used artificial snow and placed it between the laminating sheets and put through the laminator machine. Because of the sentiment, you could even make this a Hanukah card in addition to Christmas. Here is a close-up of the snow.
Card 2: Our last sample for today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the Artic Baby Foxes die. A young couple in our neighborhood just told me they are pregnant. I wanted to send them a card of congratulations and since they don't know the baby's sex as yet, I cut a pink and blue baby fox. The card layout is this week's Splitcoaststampers sketch #777. I thought it worked well to highlight the fox images.
Well that's our samples for today. If you missed our other group posts featuring these new dies, you can check it out here, here and here.  I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these new dies.

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 7)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. Today we have a framed wall art and two cards. So let's get started with the samples for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is from Janja Albreht. She used the Wood Fairy Door and Mushroom Fairy Garden to create her beautiful card. It has such a magical appeal, and it makes you think that once you open the door you will be inside a fairy garden. The soft glow of light behind the door is a perfect touch. This card could be used for any occasion - birthday, thank you, thinking of you, a welcome card.
Sample 2:  The next project is from Anja Zurga. She used the Wishing Well die to create another beautiful framed art piece. Check out her other 2 projects here and here. She has given us some great ideas for ways to use the dies other than cards. This one is intended as a wedding gift but by changing the sentiment you could use it for a birthday gift, how about the teacher gifts that we need for beginning or end of year. If you make handmade Christmas gifts this is a creative idea.
Sample 3:  Our last sample for today is from Pam MacKay. She also used the Wood Fairy Door to create a birthday card. Her card also has magical appeal to it. The patterned paper gives the look of a door at the base of a tree. How else would we get to a fairy garden (lol)!!!
The small rhinestones give a little sparkle to the flowers framing the door.  This would be an ideal card for a gardener or someone who made a fairy garden in their yard. My neighbor has such a cute one in her backyard.

Well that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you some additional ideas for these new dies. We have 1 more day of DT samples so stop by again tomorrow. You can also check us out on FaceBook and Instagram.

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 6)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.
We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. Today we have a framed wall art and a card. So let's get started with the samples for today.

Sample 1:  Our first project today is from Anja Zurga. She used the Flower Pot House and Fairy Garden Flower dies to create another beautiful framed art piece, Check out another of her projects here. She used a stencil for her "welcome" phrase. This would be perfect as wall décor in your family room or guest bedroom. How about as a gift for a new homeowner and don't forget Christmas gifts.  So many possibilities.

Sample 2: The next and last sample for today is one that I  (Mary Marsh)created, also using the Flower Pot House die.  When I saw this die it made me think of my hubby. He is an avid gardener and has flower beds all over our yard. Friends call our house the "flower house".  I love to cut them and give bouquets to our friends. So getting a Thanksgiving card from us that depicts a flower pot house would not be out of the ordinary (LOL)! I used only sunflowers since that represents the fall season. I also used fall colors for the card.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you some ideas for this new die. We still have 2 more days of group samples so stop by again tomorrow. You can also check us out on FaceBook and Instagram .

DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 5)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. So let's get started with the cards for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is from Anja Zurga. She used the Stone Fairy Door, Mushroom Fairy Garden and Mushroom Garden and created a beautiful framed art piece. She started with distress oxide inks and then built the cutest fairy garden scene with these dies.  This would make a wonderful gift for a special friend or if you make handmade Christmas gifts this is a great idea.

Sample 2:  The next sample is from Janja Albreht. She used the Gnome on Tree Stump and Tree with Tire Swing to create a fabulous card of encouragement. Such a wonderful way to let someone know you care. The stenciled a ray of light around the gnomes lantern adds a unique touch.  Don't you love the caring, tender look on the little gnome's face?
Sample 3: The next and last sample for today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created. using the Wishing Well and Fairy Garden Flowers dies. When I saw the wishing well die, I thought of a bridal shower card and also a get well card. Today I went with the get well card idea.  I used some cloud designer paper for the background. Stamped the get well sentiment and the Wishes phrase is from the Coffee & Cocoa Warm Wishes die. This is a sweet way to send get well wishes to someone that is under the weather or battling a major illness. It lets them know you care.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope we have given you several ideas on fresh ways to use the new dies. We still have 3 more days of group samples so stop by again tomorrow. You can also check us out on FaceBook and Instagram
