Risen

Hello Friends

Easter is early this year so I have started my cards.  I just love using soft colors for spring and Easter.  So that was my color palette for this card.  The dies I am featuring are: Spring Vine Wreath, Hilltop with Crosses and He is Risen wth Empty Tomb. (I used the word Risen)

Designer Steps:

1.  Use the Hilltop with Crosses die and cut out green and brown cardstock.  Use the Spring Vine Wreath die and cut out green, yellow, dark yellow, purple, dark purple, pink, and dark pink

2.  Glue the flowers to the green wreath as shown above

3.  Cut a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square out of sky DP.  Glue down the hill with the crosses first and then add the flower wreath.  Cut the word Risen in white using the He is Risen w/Tomb die

4.  Use a white A2 card base cut a piece of purple card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and a piece of checked DP 4 x 5 1/4.  Glue the DP to the purple card stock.  Do not glue to base yet.  You are going to add ribbon first

5.  Add a layer of purple to the back of the blue DP square.  Then pop the square up onto the checked DP as shown above

6.  Add the ribbon and the sentiment to the card as shown.  Place small pearls, rhinestones and glitter pen inside each flower and your card is complete

Leprechaun Gnome and His Gold

 Hello Friends

I am making a few St Patrick's Day cards.  So again I am using some of the dies from my stash and repurposing them.  The dies I used for this card are Gnome Sleeping in Hammock, Warlock Gnome w/Cauldron (I just used the cauldron) and the Shamrock and Valentine Scottie (I used the Shamrock)

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Gnome Sleeping in the Hammock cut out the following colors of card stock: orange, green, tan, brown, flesh and a striped green and white DP.  Assemble with a fine tip glue

2.  Use a white A2 card base and cut a piece of green card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 (TIP:  I used the inside of the green piece for another project knowing it was going to be covered up away) Glue the green to the card base

3.  Use the largest Pierced Wide Retangle Frame and cut out a piece of kraft card stock.  Cut a piece of sky DP 4 x 5 1/4 and a piece of green card stock 1 x 5.  Glue the green to the bottom of the sky as shown.  Arrange the gnome on the DP

4.  Using the Shamrock and Valentine Scottie cut about 10 clover and glue to the grass.  Glue the frame around your scene

5.  Glue the framed scene to the card front.  Use the Warlock Gnome W/Cauldron and cut the cauldron in black card stock.  I used a 1/4 inch hole punch and cut out the gold.  Glue the black pot and the gold to the lower right corner add your sentiment and your card is complete

Birthday Bear

Hello Friends

PRESIDENTS SALE GOING ON RIGHT NOW! SAVE UP TO 60% CLICK HERE TO SHOP.  (Sale ends February 20th.)

I needed a birthday card for my nephew so I thought I would do a cute little shaker card. I used a variety of dies to create the card.  The balloons and presents are from Birthday Hedgehog, the bear from Campin Out Bear w/Banjo, the background Trellis and the sentiment from Gift Tag Topper.

Designer Steps:

1.  I made the shaker using a 2 inch clear circle cup from My Favorite Things.  You just fill the cup with shaker material and glue the the circular back onto the cup.  I then used the Gift Tag die and cut it out of black card stock.  I decided to cut out the little present in the center to show more the the shaker materials

2.   Cut an A2 card base out of white and then use the Trellis Background die and cut it out of black.  Then glue it onto the white card base.  Cut 3 dove tail banners in red DP various sizes and then glue to the upper left hand corner as shown

3.  Use the Campin Out Bear die and cut it out in black and gray.  Assemble the glue to card front.  Next cut out the balloons in blue and the strings in black using the Birthday Hedgehog die.  Assemble then glue to the bears hand as shown

4.  Using the Birthday hedgehog die cut out the packages in blue and black.  Assemble and glue to the card from.  Last add the shaker circle as shown and your card is complete
