Thankful Card

Lets be Thankful. .  .for all our blessing. This week I have a Thanksgiving card using two Cottage Cutz Dies. "Victorian Birdhouse and Basket Full of Fall". The card has the birdhouse with an added fall flag off the pole of the birdhouse.
The Birdhouse as you can see is a condo style, you can use the birdhouses on the die as one, or use as three smaller size birdhouses.
On the fall flag I used the pumpkins off the NEW Cottage Cutz fall die called Basket Fill of Fall,  The pumpkins were shaded in two shades of orange, one brown, and one green Copic markers. Highlighted the pumpkin in gold sparkle pen. The words on the flag we done on Dymo Label Maker.
These two Cottage Cutz dies are very useful, the basket Full of Fall die has a pumpkin, squash, corn and two guards along with the tall basket. The Birdhouse as I told you can be assembled in three differant styles. Stop by the Cottage Cutz site, there are several New fall dies including a matching die called Fall Basket of Fruit. The basket is shorter and filled with red & green apples, pears and a juicy peach. Both of these basket only have four pieces each to create the basket and all the fruits and fall goodies can be used with or without the baskets. LOTS of USES.

Thanks  Barry . . . . remember to be Thankful for all you have and for all the people in your life. Send a card and remind someone that you have not spoken to lately. .  . how much they mean to you.

CottageCutz Flat Bed Truck

Hi Friends, it's Carol here today.  Nothing takes me back to my beloved New England Autumn like a flat bed truck filled with baskets of the season's harvest.  The apples in New England cannot be beat and there's nothing like picking your own pumpkin right out of the pumpkin patch and loading it all up in an old truck to take home and enjoy.  Just love this awesome CottageCutz die.
This truck was piece together after cutting all the elements out with cardstock.  I distressed the truck with green ink and it is the same ink I distressed the paper in.  It's Studio G from Walmart but it doesn't have a color number or name on it.  It's the darkest of the three green inks they carry in the 97 cent bin-I've been raiding it lately.  I happen to love those little pads of ink-they're juicy!  To make my background I used a simple evergreen tree and stamped the white cardstock with this green ink and then die cut the pieces.
My paper is from K & Company.  The autumn sentiment is something from my stash.  I used both the large round and large scallop spellbinders die.   The scalloped borders are a Martha Stewart punch I had for a long time and I think this was the first I used it.  I stickled my edges with crystal stickles and this was a breeze to make.  I really loved piecing this together!  Here are the CottageCutz dies are used.

Isn't it great when dies are so versatile.  This truck would look festive with one of the tree dies in the back bed for a Christmas look.  You could even tie some red little bows on the wooden bed to give it a decorated Christmas look.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate it and hope to see you again real soon.

Thankful

Good morning friends!  Today's card features one of my favorite Thanksgiving dies from last year.  It is the CottageCutz Autumn Centerpiece.  There are lots of possibilities with this die.  I also used the CottageCutz Oval Doily and Frame die as a platter for my table centerpiece.   Here is my card.

I used various papers and added shading with distress ink and Copics.  Hope you like it!  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs and smiles.

Harvest Calendar

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with a Harvest Autumn Calendar that I made using the New dies from the CottageCutz Harvest Release.

I designed this calendar Month to go with all the others Ive made, the only thing I didnt do on this one is add all the numbers for the days. I will do that later :) Ive come down with a cold that hubby has and feel horrible today!!

So I used the CottageCutz Basket full of Fall and some of the CottageCutz Vegetable Assortment too, I LOVE how they work well together in this basket. You can also use the Vegetable Assortment in the other basket as well.

I also used the CottageCutz Rustic Fence with Grass, and Love how it turned out. I thought it would work perfect for this page for the calendar. I used the little pumpkin in the lower corner. For the Banner I used the CottageCutz Pennants Plain and Pinking Pennants both can be found HERE!

Each CottageCutz Photo is linked to the store for easy finding :)

The stickers I used are from My Little Shoebox and the Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also added some buttons that I colored with chocolate Creative Inspiration paints. Lastly I added some sewing to all layers.

Hope you have a Lovely day!!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Happy Halloween with Classic Witch

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!!!
Hello everyone ,Cheryl here with another Halloween card made using the CottagCutz Hocus Pocus Release from The Scrapping Cottage.

I used the CottageCutz "Classic Witch" and colored her with copic markers. She is easy to put together, and then I decided to use the frog on jar of eyeballs, he is too cute!!!

For the greenery I used the CottageCutz Ivy that came out in the CottageCutz "Victorian Garden" Release. I colored them with copics as well. I framed the one layer with the CottageCutz "Spiderweb Border" , and then stamped a Happy Halloween from Victorine Originals. Added a bow and some webbing from RRR!!

Thank you all for looking and have a Happy Halloween to all!!!

CottageCutz Halloween Scene

Good morning!  Happy Sunday to you, and welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog!  It's Lorie here from The ThINKin' Spot  today to share another Halloween card with you.  As the time for ghosts and goblins draws near, it's fun to play with  CottageCutz dies, creating cute cards and projects to share with all the spooky and cute  Halloween visitors.

This card was created using the CottageCutz Potions Table 4x6 die.  I cut these pieces using colored card stock and sponged the edges using distress ink to define the edges and give some vintage style shading.  I arranged the pieces a bit differently than pictured below, and  there are still so many more ways you could arrange the scene or create new scenes with the variety of pieces that are a part of this die.  Awesome possibilities for being creative!!   I left the sentiment out for now, but a simple Happy Halloween, or "Welcome To My Lair" would be great choices for this card.

Here's a look at the complete die and if you click on it, it will direct you right to The Scrapping Cottage Store, where you will find it, along with so many wonderful dies.  Don't forget to check out our newest releases for harvest and Christmas seasons!  They are stunning!!

So glad you could visit today!  Thanks for sharing part of your day with us!  Have a glorious day filled with blessings and LOTS of happy crafting!

More Background Fun!

Hello everyone!  I am back with the card I said I would share with you using the CottageCutz Frankly die.  I made this background before I realized what a great cloud the hole in the ground negative would make.  For these clouds I tore a strip of paper about 3 inches long making a rough edge.  I then sponged Memento grey flannel to create the wispy clouds.  The negative stencil is much easier to use, and I plan on using it more often.
I used CottageCutz Halloween Scene for my second card.  The background is from a card that I made awhile back on my blog.  I didn't like the way it was turning out, so I started over.  I didn't throw it away because I thought I might find some use for it.  It was perfect for this little Halloween Scene.  Hope you like it!
Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
