Baby Girl = Cute Laundry

Hi friends!

Kris here sharing another BABY card with you.

I used the color challenge at SplitcoastStampers this week #CC996
which is Polished Pink, Lemon Lolly, and Parakeet Party

Dessert option is:  Embossing folder

I used the CottageCutz dies called Baby Girl Clothes and I computer-generated this sentiment based one I saw on Pinterest.

For my base, I cut a top folding A2 card.  I then cut a layer and used a GinaK lattice embossing (the dessert option part of the challenge).

For my main image, I added Kitsch Flamingo D.O. ink.  I then die cut some grass from the Parakeet Party cardstock and attached it to the pink layer.  I added a leftover piece of fence behind the grass.  Then I die cut the whole thing with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangles die

I backed that layer with the Polished Pink cardstock, cut at 4-1/4" wide and just a li'l taller than my focal panel so it gives a bit of a border on top and bottom.

I ran a piece of cotton candy baker's twine around the panel and added pop dots on back to hold twine and also elevate the whole panel so you won't see indents where the twine is on back.  The clothespins are part of the Baby Girl Clothes die.  I pieced the clothes with the Doodlebug Designs Baby Girl papers.

That's a wrap!!  ☺♥  Thanks so much for looking today!

Giddy Up!

Hello Crafty Friends

It is Pam sharing with you today!

I decided to change it up a bit and do a Western Theme card.  I am featuring the sweet Dog in a Cowboy Boot die on a fancy fold card. The slip in tag can hold a greeting and gift card.  This fancy fold was inspired by Beth over at SplitcoastStampers.

                                                                                                                                                     Background picture from Freepiks

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a dark brown A2 card base and cut the front flap at a diagonal save the cut off triangle.  Cut a piece of double sided designer paper 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Take the double sided designer paper and cut it at a diagonal as shown above
2.  Glue one side of the designer paper to the left flap and the other side of the piece to the triangle that is not attached yet.  Next put a thin line of glue on the outter edge and bottom of the unattached triangle and then glue it to the front of the card.  This will create a pocket
3.  Cut a piece of dark brown card stock 5 x 3 3/4 and a piece of stripped designer paper 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  Round the corners and glue together
4.  Decorate the inside piece as you wish.  I am going to use it as a gift card holder.  Once decorated slip the stripped piece inside of the pocket

5.  Using the Dog in a Cowboy Boot die cut out the pieces and ink the edges before assembly
6.  Cut a strip of brown card stock 1 x 11.  Use a punch on cream colored card stock to create the scallop.  Cut one 2 inch cream colored circle and ink.  Cut one 2 1/4 inch circle in dark brown.  Glue the circles together
7.  Wrap the band around the card and secure it to the card back.  Glue the circles to the center and then add the Boot and your sentiment.  Your card is complete

B Spring Daffodils and Tulips Table Decor Sign

Hey crafty friends,
So glad you stopped in today! It is my turn to share on the Cottage Cutz blog. So I created this cute "B" sign that will be a part of my table decor.

Here's another view of my sign. I started with a piece of white cardstock measuring 5x7. I then added a mat of some designer paper I created. I then cut out the pretty Trellis background die. I layered that onto some cream cardstock. I cut the B out of some yellow cardstock and then cut out the daffodils, tulips and butterfly from some cardstock and then colored and shaded the various white pieces.  In case you're wondering I used a capital B as that is the first letter of our last name :-).

Here's a closer look at the pretty folk art butterfly. I colored the detail pieces with my yellow markers. However the wings were cut from some red cardstock.

I used the smallest pierced circle die to place a tulip head onto with some of the foliage. All of the leaves started out as plain white cardstock. I just used my markers to color them. I mounted the B onto some foam tape and then onto the mat. This gave it some lift and I thought it made it look very nice.

Here is one last look at my completed sign. I thought it turned out so festive and with a ton of cheerful spring vibes.
