Snowy Friends

Hello Friends

From all of us at CottageCutz we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This is my last Christmas card for the year 2025!  I don't know where this year has gone but I thank God for all of my blessings! I am using Polar Friends and Holiday Hound Dog (trees) on this fun little card.

Background Photo by Freepiks

Design Steps:

1.  Use the Polar Friends die and cut out the following colors of cardstock:  red, green, yellow, black and white
2.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue.  I like the Art Glitter Glue
3.  Use an A2 white card base.  Cut a rectangle scallop piece 5 1/4 x 4 and then cut another retangle scallop piece 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 run the smaller rectangle through a snow embossing folder.  In white cut out the snow banks using the Hills Slimline. Cut out the trees in white using the Holiday Hound Dog

4.  Glue the larger scalloped retangle flat to the white card base.  Pop up the snow embossed retangle and add the first snowy hill
5.  Tuck the trees into the snowy hill in the background.  Add the polar bear and then the second snowy hill. (Make sure to stamp the sentiment onto the front snowy hill before you glue it down.) I added some sparkle to the hill tops with Stickles.  Your card is complete

Santa Peeker

Hello Friends,

Just finishing up the last few Christmas cards! I have added lots of sparkle to this one.  I love using glitter paper around the holidays.  Today's featured dies are Santa Peeker and Merry Christmas Santa.

Background Photo by Freepiks

Design Steps:

1.  Use the Santa Peeker die and cut the following card stock: tan, white, red glitter, and green
2.  Assemble the pieces using a fine tip and quick drying glue.  Use a fine tip black marker to color in the eyes
3.  Use an A2 white card base, 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of red glitter card stock, 3 x 4 inches piece of dotted green DP, and a piece of snowflake DP measuring 2 1/4 x 4 inches.  Glue the red glitter card stock to the white card base.  Glue the green dotted DP to the top of the red glitter card stock and the snowflake DP to the bottom as shown.  (I had some left over pieces of ephemera for the bow and twisted red and green rope)
4.  Using the Merry Christmas Santa die cut out the sentiment in red glitter card stock.  Glue the sentiment to the bottom half as shown below.  I added some shaker pieces that are snowflakes to complete the card

Black Friday Sale

Sale ends December 5th so hurry on by to shop the fantastic discounts!!

 Hello Friends

I am right in the middle of making my Christmas cards.  So I thought I would share one of my favorite ones.  It is featuring the beautiful Filigree Nativity Ornament on a mini slimline. Plus I used two other dies to complete the card Pine Spray and Wintery Pine.

Background Photo by Freepiks

Design Steps

1.  The white mini slimline base folded is 6 1/4 x 3 1/4.  A green piece of card stock cut 6 1/8 x 3 1/8.  A white piece of card stock 3 x 6 run through an embossing folder

2.  Glue the green piece to the card front then add the embossed white piece.  Set aside

3.  On white card stock cut the Filigree Nativity Ornament.  Cut a piece of red glitter card stock to glue behind the ornament.  And take the Filigree Nativity Ornament and place a piece of gold on the top portion of the die and cut out the little piece that will attach to the tree as shown above
4.  Glue the red glitter card stock to the back of the ornment and trim.  Then glue the gold piece to the top of the ornament as shown above
5.  Using the Pine Spray and Wintery Pine dies cut out branches in white and green card stock.  On the card base begin to build the pine branch layers
6.  Add the Nativity Ornament and add a few pine branches at the bottom right side of the ornament
7.   Finish the card by adding the sentiment and a ribbon

I did a second card using teal for the ribbon and ornament with a little darker blue green for the branches
