Hello on this sweet Sunday!  Kris here with 3 Christmas cards using the nativity dies from the CHRISTMAS 1 RELEASE.  Before I get to them, here's an announcement:
❄❄❄
We are happy to announce that CottageCutz dies will be available for purchase in a boutique in Southern California. If you're in the neighborhood drop by.

❄❄❄
FUN!  My first 2 cards are super easy to create.  Using the same dies, but switching the colors, you can achieve different looks! (the lovely dies do all the work!)

My next card is a Pop Up Stage Card

When you close the card, it forces the popped up elements forward into a flat position so you can tuck this into an envelope ☺

Here is the front of my card.  I added a belly band to help keep the card closed.

THANK YOU for taking time to visit today!
I hope I inspired you to get crafty with your favorite CotageCutz dies ~ Have a blessed week ☺

New Halloween Release Sample

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

It's new release time!!! We have new dies in the online store. It's our Halloween release with 22 new designs. They are currently on sale with a 50% discount on the entire bundle or 30% off individual dies. The sale is just for a limited time so hurry over to the online store to make your selections.

For my card sample today, I am featuring the new Witch Hat, Witch Legs and the Trick or Treat Phrase dies. So, lets get started with some details of how I created my card.

Design Steps:

For my card I used the colors from the Splitcoaststampers color challenge #914. We were to use granny apple green, melon mambo and highland heather. I thought they were bright and fun colors and would work well for my card design. I used a deeper shade of purple for my card.
granny apple green, melon mambo, highland heather
I cut the images from cardstock in the challenge colors.
For my card sentiment, I decided to use the Trick or Treat Phrase die. I cut it from the grape shade of cardstock I am using.
I kept my card base as white cardstock and the designer paper is granny apple green. It's also in an unusual size. At least a size that I have never used before. I also used a border punch on the designer paper just for added interest.
White card base: 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Designer paper layer: 4 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Now that my card elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the hats first with double sided tape to the designer paper.
Next, I added my trick or treat phrase with clear drying glue.
Now I am ready for the witch legs. I attached those to the card base before I attached the designer paper.
To finish off my card, I attached the image panel to the card base with double sided tape. I decided to add a few spiders from the Spooky Truck die just for added interest. I used the stars from the Trick or Treat Phrase die.
That's it for me for this week. I will see you next Saturday.

Snowman Shaker

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

We have a NEW RELEASE FOR AN EARLY START ON YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS!!   The collection is Christmas Part 1 and has 21 fantastic dies. The release includes everything from Gnomes to Reindeer!! Check it out HERE it is on sale now!!

The die I am creating with today is Snowman w/Tree. I made a shaker card with this cute little guy! It seems like young and old love shaker cards!

Design Steps:

1.  Cut a piece of white card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and a piece of red snowflake DP 4 x 5 1/4.  Glue the two pieces together and then cut the square for the shaker window (I did it slightly to the left of center).  The shaker window is 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 so I used my Pierced Square die 3rd from the largest to cut the opening
2.  Place the plastic window in the hole and fill it with your shaker pieces.  Use glue or tape to seal the shaker with a pieces of glitter white paper measuring 2 3/4 x 2 3/4
3.  Glue the whole shaker panel to the white A2 card front
4.  Using the Snowman w/Tree die cut out the pieces in: white glitter card stock, green, blue, red, orange, black, mint and gold.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip quick drying glue and set aside
5.  Cut the icicles using the Icicle Border die on white glitter card stock.  Adhere the border to the top of the card using foam tape.  Place dimension dots to the back of the snowman, bird and ground then pop him to your card front as shown below.  Stamp your senitment and heat emboss with clear powder.  Glue the sentiment flat to the card front and your card is complete

12 x 12 Vintage Christmas Layout - Jolly Santa Gnome

Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back with another  CottageCutz YouTube  video on the CottageCutz Channel I had so much fun last month making a scrapbook layout, that I made another this month!  This time I created a 12 x 12 page, featuring the "Jolly Santa Gnome."

I found some lovely coordinating vintage papers in my stash, I used them to assemble both my page layout and my die cut embellishments.

You can find all my layout instructions over on the YouTube Channel!

While over at the channel, make sure you like and comment for a chance to win the "Jolly Santa Gnome" die!

The winner of the "Christmas Puppies" die from my last video is Margaret D, you can find all the details over on YouTube!
