Sorry Card With Candy Bouquet

Happy Tuesday crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a fun card I created with some terrific Cottage Cutz dies. Here is what I made.
I created this fun candy bouquet along with this super colorful and fun card.

Here is a closer look at my card. It is a bit larger than my normal size card. It is 5x7 side folding. I felt I owed one of my coworkers an apology and wanted to make a cheerful card to make the best of a potentially awkward situation. She loves chocoloate so I decided a candy bouquet of mini candies would be a great addition to the card.

Here is a close up of the sweet little daschund die cut. I set him on the wacky stitched square. I added a mat of some patterned paper. I set him on some grass. I also added a smaller wacky stitched square with some cute little flowers. I cut all my die cuts out of white paper and then used my markers to color them all in. I created a little boy daschund as my coworker has a little boy daschund.

Here is a closer look at the super cute wood sign. I was going to write something on the sign but decided to leave it plain. I added it to a larger wacky stiched square. I used a coordinating patterend paper for a mat. I also added a fence and some more of the grass. I added some lines on the fenceto make it look like a little older wood.

Here's a closer look at the word SO. The letters are all a part of the stiched alpha die. I added a sweet little lady bug to the top of the letter "O".

Here is a closer look at the word "Sorry". Like all the others, I added it to a wacky stitched square with a patterned paper mat. I added some more of the cute flowers to the letters for an extra decorative touch.

And here is a closer look at the word Very. I again added some flowers and I also added some with ink to the stitching that is already on the dies. As I mentioned before, all of these die cuts were cut from plain white cardstock. I then used my various markers to color them in. I tried coordinating the colors with the patterened papers.

Here is one last look at the candy bouquet. To make it, I went to my local dollar store and hit the candy isle. I bought a variet of candies. I  know my co-worker loves chocolate so I figured I would hit some candy that she likes...lol. To make the bouquet, I bought some wood skewers at the dollar store and then used some double sided tape to add the candies to the skewer. I bought a floral foam square from the same dollar store and then a little plastic square container from there. I added the foam square to the inside of the vase and then began poking my skewers into the foam. I added a little foil tissue to the base to cover up the foam and other mechanics and it was all done! I have to say,  she loved it!

Lollipop Box and Cards Set

Happy Terrific TuesDIE Scrapping Cottage friends!
Melinda here with you for another fun Tuesday. My project features a couple of dies from the marvelous new SPRING RELEASE along with some others!  Here's what I created.

I created a set of three 4.25 x 4.25 note cards and a little "Lolli Box"

To create the Lolli Box

I started with a square piece of paper that measures 3.75". I scored it on all four sides at 1.25"
Once all four sides are scored, I proceeded to make some cuts.

Here is how I trimmed it. I cut a slit up to the first line on the score line that is to the right. I then snipped a slight angle off on both sides of the corner. Then I turned the piece a quarter turn to the right and repeated this process. I did for all four sides. I also trimmed just a bit off of each corner. This way it will fold up much easier and remain flush.

Once all the cutting was done, I added adhesive to the opposite side of the cut flaps. See photo. Notice the tabs are bent forward. You can see the adhesive and the way I cut them at an angle.

I then layered a white home onto a kraft cardstock home. The only reason I did this is so that looking at the finished box from the back side will make this seem much more cohesive.

Here I am coloring the bird houses.

Here's a view of the box once it is assembled. It does fit the lollipop pretty good. It is a tootsie roll lollipop.

Here is where I added mats to 3 of the sides. There are just 1" mats.

Here's a look as I was assembling the die pieces to create the adorable Bunny Cottage. Once I finished, I glued it to the front of the box.

Here is the finished Lollibox. I added the "tree and sign" from the Spring Chicken die set. The top of the tree is from the Carrot House die. I cut it out in some cute Doodlebug patterned paper.

Here's a closer look at the Pink Home. I put a sweet little brown bunny in this one. I added some dew drops to the top left corner of each card. Just for a little something extra~

Here's a closer look at the Purple Home. I went with a gray bunny here.

Here is a closeup of the card with the Yellow home. I did another little brown bunny here.

Here is one last look at the cards and the Lolli box. I think this set turned out very nice.

Spring Chicken

 Hello Friends

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I hope you are wearing green!!

Today, I am making a thank you card because my stash is running a little low.  I decided to use the cute Spring Chicken for my card.  I love the little sign she has with her.  You can really put any sentiment you want on it.

Design Steps
1.  Use an A2 white card stock base and cut a piece of blue 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 run it through a cloud embossing folder
2.  Using the Spring Chicken die and cut the pieces out of tan, rust, brown, pink, yellow, purple, red, and green.  Shade the pieces with ink and glue together with a fine tip glue.  Stamp your sign with Thank You
3.  Cut 3 white frames using the largest of the Pierced Wide Rectangle set.  Glue the frames together.  Use the Spring Grass die and cut it out using green card stock.  Glue the grass to the back of the frames

4.  Layer the back of the frame with dimension tape.  Adhere it to the blue cloud card stock
5.  Glue in the Chicken then the sign.  Finally add in the flower and the white ribbon bow. Glue the blue panel to the white card base and your card is complete
