MINI ACCORDION PHOTO BOOK

Hello Dear Friends !!!

It's Anita here and I hope you had a great week. Spring is in the air and birds and bees are to be seen in the gardens.
CottageCutz has something new for you this season and that is the combination of stamps and dies that will surely make you happy. These are super cute and so much fun to colour.
You can check all of them here.
Valentine's Day just got over but a gift for our loved ones is what we all love making.
So here I have a cute mini accordion photo book featuring the CottageCutz Sweet Valentines stamp and Die set.

To make this book, follow the pictures and instructions below.

Stamp the image with black ink

Colour with medium of your choice. I have used Zig Brush Pens

Cut them out with coordinating dies

Cut two card stock 12" x 5" and score in mountain and valley fold at 4".

Adhere the last panel of one card stock to the first panel of the other card stock to form an accordion book.

Cut out pattern paper 4.75" x 3.75" and round of corners. Distress with aged mahogany distress ink.

Adhere these panels to the front and back of the book. Adhere Wide Stitched Rectangle frames after they also have been distressed.

Add the die cut images popping them up with 3D foam tape

Tie the book with a ribbon.

Fun Glitter Technique

Hi die cut fans...it's Lori here with you today highlighting one of our new Valentines Days Die...Filigree Love Birds.  I really wish I could have captured a bit of a better picture, but the glitter was difficult to photograph.  However, I did really love the technique I used for this project.

I mounted a  4 x 4 sheet of Sookwang double sticky cardstock to a piece of vellum and then cut out the die.  Being double mounted it won't cut all the way through the vellum, but it will go through all of the Sookwang.  I then used my fine tip tweezers and removed sections of the tape cover.  Once I had a section pulled off I sprinkled with colored glitter.  Once the green area was glittered in, I moved onto the pink area taking off the tape cover and then glittering. I mounted it to a mini book ready to fill with love notes and pictures for that someone special.  I hope you give this technique a try

See ya soon,

Hugs,

Halloween ABC Book

I have decided that since these Cottage Cutz Halloween dies are soooooooooooooo cute, I want to make a Halloween ABC Book. Sorry I am late posting today, but I was hoping my new Cottage Cutz Halloween dies would arrive today, but no such luck. So I skipped my title page for now and started with my "A" Page.

For this first page, I used the Cottage Cutz Candied Apple die. To create the caramel covering for my apple, I used brown fuzzy paper to add some really fun texture. My pages are 6x6 so I will have enough room for some of the larger dies plus my little rhymes along the way.

Glad you could stop by today. Hope you have a fun weekend filled with scrappy time!!
