Spring All Occasion Card

Hello friends, it's Marla here today and I have a new YouTube video featuring the "Spring Daffodils" die.  I am so happy that it is finally flower season once again, aren't you?  Creating cards that include flowers really bring me great joy.  I chose not to add a sentiment to the front of this card because I thought it could be used for many different occasions.  I love keeping several cards like these on hand to use in a pinch.

I hope you'll join me over on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel to see how this card came together.  If you can't join me, I've linked the CottageCutz product I used below.

Until next time... Marla

Moving on from Christmas

Hello friends!  With the passing of Christmas our card making moves on to other seasons and holidays.  When I sat down to create my card this week, I turned my attention from snow to strawberries and pulled out the "Strawberry Plant" and "Sentiment Thank you Berry Much" dies.  I am not much of a winter girl past the holidays, so I quickly shift gears into spring and gardening after Christmas.

You can find all of the details for this card on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel.  If you don't like to color or ink blend, then using spray stains may be right up your alley.  I am sharing a few different sprays stains that I have and demonstrating how each is a little different and how easy they are to use to ink up die cuts.  I hope you'll join me.  The Scrapping Cottage is generously allowing me to offer the "Strawberry Plant" as a giveaway, so watch all the way through the video to see how you can enter.

Until next time.... Marla

Using Up Odds and Ends

Happy Wednesday, friends.  It's time for another CottageCutz YouTube Video.  I don't know about you, but my craft room looks like a bomb went off in it.  I have been happily crafting away, but honestly, not putting things away.  This left me with a pile of Christmas die cuts I had cut but had not colored or assembled.  I decided to roll up my sleeves and use a few of these odds and ends on my cards today.

If you caught the Black Friday sale, there were several fun large sentiments in the release.  This got my crafty mind churning and I thought I would pair some of my CottageCutz Christmas dies with these new large sentiments to create a couple post-holiday cards.

I've linked all of the items I used on my two cards below, but you can see how they came together and enter to win one of the sentiment dies by watching the video.  I hope this gets your crafty mind churning too and you continue to find ways to use some of the beautiful Christmas dies after the season ends.

Until next time....Marla

Oh boy, oh boy, it's that wonderful time of year when the Scrapping Cottage releases their Black Friday Specials.  This year is a real treat with not just one, but two new bundles offered at a deep discount.  For a limited time you can purchase these products at 60% off.

Today, I am over on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel with a review of Bundle One and I am sharing three cards that I created with several dies from this bundle.  If you are wondering what sizes the dies are and how they fit on an A2 card, I have you covered.  I'm also giving away one of these dies, so I hope you'll join me.

The card shown above features the "Garden Birds".  Not just for spring, this blue bird can be used to add a little joy to someone's dreary winter's day.  You can check out my other two cards here

Keeping Your Design Simple

Hi, Marla here today with another CottageCutz YouTube video tutorial.  Fall is finally here, and the new CottageCutz Fall Release is in the shop.  I have already posted a few cards on my Instagram using many of these beautiful products.  I am completely smitten with all of the products in this release.  Do you love it as much as I do?

My card today is a 5x7 design, with a simple layout.  What makes it simple?  Well, for me it means leaving white space on my card that allows the dies or stamps to take center stage without any distractions.

You can head on over to watch the video and see how you can enter to win one of these beautiful dies.  I hope to see your there.  Until next time...... Marla

Welcome Fall

Happy Wednesday.  Marla here back with a new CottageCutz YouTube video tutorial.  Today, I'm bringing a little relief today from the dog days of summer with a fall themed card.  I pulled out my muted jewel tones of cardstock to use with the cute "Folk Art Fox" and "Folk Art Trees."  I have been so inspired by this "Folk Art" collection because it can be used for any season.

You can find more specific card details and see how you can enter for a chance to win the "Folk Art Fox" in my video.  Until next time..... Marla

Let Freedom Ring

Happy Wednesday!  The Scrapping Cottage has been very busy with two new releases.  Today, I am focusing on the "Patriotic" release, which not only will help you create beautiful cards for the 4th of July but can be used for cards to celebrate your favorite service member.

Today, I am sharing this celebratory card over on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel.  I combined several of the new dies from this release.  I thought all of the products I used tells the story of unity, liberty and celebration that exemplifies our nation's observance of July 4th.  Again, there's a chance to win one of the dies I used on my card.  See which one we are giving away and find out how you can win it here.

I have linked all of the products I used on my card below for easy shopping.  Until next time..... Marla
